STAR THAT BURNS BRIGHTEST

Star, chosen by Morningmist's traitorous mate Conchita and trained largely by the same, only partially faked her loyalty to the king during Conchita's coup. Morningmist was like a father to her, and she loathed how Conchita had pushed her around, but at the same time she was disgusted with Morningmist's relaxed way of rule. Star bid her time and eventually got her place as the rightful king of the pride, and immediately she began to make changes.
Under Star's rule, the pride began to 'shape up' to higher standards held by their new leader. It retreated within itself at the same time, making them a far more isolationist pride. It became the norm to treat outsiders with much more hostility than previous reigns did, threatening any that crossed their territory, and Star was extremely picky in choosing any new pridemates. Many of her pridemates will agree that she's a bit of a micro-manager in making sure the pride follows all of her orders to a T.
