Hear My Whispers In The Dark

Corintha was quiet as she bowed her head, appearing in a ghostly form in front of him so he could see her. Her spirit has bad cracks in it, but none the less, she still looked beautiful. She cuddled against him mquietly, breathing as she tried to feel him close to her.

Apollo sighed and tried to lick her. She wasn't there. Just a figment of a soul and a shape.

The lick actually did touch her, and she kept her head bowed to her king quietly, still feeling a bit on ice. She just kept her head bowed. "I'm sorry my love. I... I know I can no longer be of use to you. I know I'm no longer good enough for you."

Apollo raised his head, staring at Corintha. "That is not true. You are my one and only. I won't be able to find another like you" he said, ducking his head shamefully.

She cuddled her spirit body against his. "You have time for a dead lioness?" She asked, quoting what he had said earlier in different context, when he had angrilly spat he had no time for a dead lioness like her.

Corintha was quiet as she looked down. "Find my body. Wherever it may be. I have 24 hours to go back inside it." She said quietly, looking at him with a guilty expression of her own, her head bowed.

Apollo flattened his ears. "It's in the center of my old home"

"Exactly. I can't go there on my own. You must be with me. My spirit can't be apart from you." She whispered. "if you wish to refuse, I understand."

Apollo sighed. It.. wasn't worth it. The cub needed someone to raise him and if Apollo died in the process of trying to bring his mate back to life, he would be alone. Apollo gently shook his head. "I have to raise him. I'm sorry" He was managing well. At least, for now.

Corintha nodded quietly. "I understand." She whispered quietly, though she obviously looked hurt, thinking about their cubs that would also have a chance at life if she was brought back. She just looked down, cracking a bit more, showing she was lying about being okay. She'd been perfectly willing to die for his safety and life, but he wasn't willing to risk going into a territory so she could sneak back into her body.

Apollo flattened his ears. "Stop trying to guilt trip me into doing it" he said, returning to the sleeping cub and sleeping beside him.

"it's... Not... A guilt trip." She whispered quietly. "I did everything for you. I gave my life to keep you safe. And your so selfish you can't shuffle into a territory, which belongs to you I might add, where I can hide you as I just did, long enough for me to go back into my body? When you were suppose to love me? You... THat's not right. We have cubs. It's not just me you'll be bringing back. Don't you care about the four cubs we'll be brining back too?"

Apollo narrowed his eyes. "And when you do return to your body? Invisiblity wears off and the pride attacks us. I don't know about you but we can't win against a whole damned pride!" he hissed, ignoring the parts about the cubs. "I have a son"

"You have two sons and two daughters as well. They can't attack you, it is your pride." She hissed back. "I won against your father. The only reason I lost this round was because he tried to kill you. I can handle a bunch of weakling shit faces."
