I've noticed that the higher level you lion is, the longer and longer it takes for you to level him up. This isn't just because he needs more and more experience for each level, but is mostly because there is no increase in experience gain for higher level lions. Lionesses gain more EXP the higher level they are while hunting; even level 1 lionesses will gain 500EXP if they're sent in a party with some high level lionesses.

I don't really think this system is fair. Males only earn 150-190EXP (190 is the highest experience I've ever gotten from NPC fights, so it's the only one I have to use as an example) from NPC fights in explore. When you lion needs 25,000 or more EXP to level up, it will take roughly 160 fights in order for you to level up. That's if you win all of your fights. If you don't win all those fights it could be closer to 200 fights before you lion will level up.

I think that there should be an increase of EXP for your main males while explore. Maybe each region have a range of EXP you could earn at random. Or set it so that each level earns a certain amount of EXP, on top of the EXP we earn from battles in explore.

Since some NPCs are only found in specific areas, it's safe to assume that they are "high levels" than the NPCs you would find in, for example, the Temperate Savannah, so why am I earning the same amount of EXP fighting a Rocky Hills specific NPC as I do fighting a Temperate Savannah specific NPC?

It just doesn't make sense to have males only earning the same amount of EXP no matter what they're level is.

/support!

It makes sense to reward the effort to level with better exp.

This is already in game - some enemies give much more exp, and quests now give a huge lot of exp.

@Mad Hyena:
While it is in game in a way, it is not at all balanced or enough.
Exp stops being rewarded graciously at about lvl 15, from there on until lvl 26 you get barely any %. Like, you need in the end around lvl22-25 exactly 3 NPC fights to get 1%. Then you step to lvl26 and you get basically 1% each fight.

The exp is often simply not enough for a healthy leveling. I am for example very active and fight every NPC there is but have yet to reach anywhere near lvl28. Most I had was lvl26, just able to reach Marshlands. And that after playing a lion for his whole life. In my opinion there should be even greater exp rewards.

I find it a perfectly healthy leveling - any MMORPG (or any RPG, really) I ever played, it's easy to get to 10th levels, but then, it gets slower each level. Sometimes it's months between levels on the highest ranks, even if you are active 12 hours per day.

I understand that but the decrease is quite sudden. Not a process but a sudden drop around lvl 11-12.
Also, with active gameplay I should be able to reach the last Biome as well but I am unable to without possibly paying for energy roots. if that doesnt tell anyone that the exp rewards need work, then I dont know what else.

The last Biome is meant to be special, just like special final level rewards in MMORPGs; a something not everyone is able to achieve. That, I think, is the very reason for level-based biomes at all? To reach something other users cant reach; it cannot be easy because, well, then everyone would be there, and it wont be as special anymore. xP

And in no MMORPGs you can ever reach top levels without paying for exp-boosting items, or it would take you years to reach. The highest levels are meant to be that; a source of the game's income, a special level for most devoted players, not a milestone for every single user to aim for. People often tend to pay for the feeling of supremacy, and not so much just for being "as everyone else".

But if you cannot reach it with activity, then what is the reason of the 'special Biome'? So you are saying that Lioden is Pay to Win?

Edit: You also forget that MMORPGs dont reset your level every half a year or so. With activity you can reach the final level as well. Slower than those who paid but you can reach it.

Just one zone in just one explore feature hardly makes the entire Lioden a pay to win game, dont you think? It's a zone that's in Leaderboards levels range, too, so again, it's not just a milestone to aim for, being a Leaderboard lion is hard - and being in the top is even harder. Being №1 is the hardest, and quite impossible, without paying, to reach that elite number one from ground zero. Plus, there's just been a HUGE exp increase in quests - I am getting a 1000+ on my level 14 per each quest, so it's several % more daily. And some enemies already provde more than 1% each, AND you get daily exp from sparring with your sub males now, too... I just dont see any reason to increase it even further.

Stats arent also given on a silver plate, so why level should be? If it's work and activity that counts, then raising levels is not different than raising stats - like you train your lionesses, just save exp increasing items, broken drones and etc, save your yearly meat pies and invest it all into your level.

Again - that last zone is not a milestone, it's the top rank - just like being in the very top of Leaderboards.

Eh, no. You only get exp if you get it as a bonus from the sparring. I get stats and imp more often. I am lucky if I get a snake quest that I can actually do. Which kill quest doesnt require me to go to the first few Biomes where I have to spend days to hunt down an animal, or a hunt quest that actually gets completed because my girls NEVER bring back the animal I need because hunting is as random it is frustrating. Items are the easiest but they usually dont reward as much either.

You know, if something is part of a game, people will think they can reach it. The last Biome is not labeled as anything omgsospecial. It is part of the normal gameplay and yes I aim for it and yes I believe I should be able to reach it with normal but very active gameplay without payment. Yet I am unable to, no matter how much time I invest in it. I am attempting again on my side account which has its leader as king from year 3.

If it was labeled as 'Special Biome', then I would be okay with it. But as long as it is there and open for any normal gameplay, then it is natural to expect being able to reach it with normal means.

Besides: leaderboard is a very bad excuse. About lvl24s are already on it. Last levels arent even required for it. People simply want to feel that they 'completed' the game with their lion, so they can start a new one to thrive for the same. Instead I am left frustrated and with each try I feel I am wasting my time more and more and my enthusiasm is dangerously dying.

The quests are very easy to do, really.. snake skin solves it all, Im usually done with them within an hour from taking a kill quest. And snake skin is ridiculously common, I have 20 something buried, each with 5 uses. If you dont have as much, that means you arent actually all that active on the game?.. Just exploring a lot isnt "very active". Active means being active in all aspects, gaining everything you can from many different sources. I only fight if I meet the enemy only on energy 0 exactly - so I almost dont fight at all, but my lion is level 14 and 7 years old. If I were to combine fighting and alternative exp gaining, he'd have much higher level.

In my opinion, there is more than enough exp being given out in ways other than fighting enemies in explore. If enemies were to get even more exp, that'd just make things more frustrating to users not lucky to have megastatted lions. I cannot explore anywhere beside level 1 just because my level is already too high for my stats - enemies in higher zones devastate my lion with no chance to defeat them. If I cant possibly win, I dont care how much exp they give as I dont get it, obviously. If exp gains were to be increased, enemy difficulty must be seriosly tweaked, too, or it's going another "pay-to-win" scheme - but with stats this time.

You get snake scent from the Whack a Snake game. And while I reach 500, I almost always get coconut. I only got so far 4 snake scents from both this and my side account, despite playing almost every day there.
And because I lack snake scents -and the fact that I wasted a ton of them because they were bugged and they were not yet fixed- I have to make a choice when I get a kill quest that requires me to go way lower than my Biome:

1. I either go to that Biome and spend the next days there, trying to find the animals while I also get lower exp, which will slow down my lvling anyway.
2. I wait a few days and let the snake quest vanish/or I use snake skull (which costs about 4-5 quest rewards) while I simply keep exploring in my own Biome, thus getting my normal exp.

And just a tiny clarification: Stats basically dont matter at NPC fights still. There is no difference for me between my 3k and 800 (is now 1k through gameplay) statted lions. I managed to beat just as many NPCs, lost against just as many as well. Just find the adequate tactic and know which NPC to avoid. (Rhino bull, Black Mamba, Gorilla, etc) But those must be avoided by all stats. Anyone can win against most NPCs in all Biomes.

But then again, I barely fight at all (and ONLY in zone 1! Never any further!) and my lion is at level 14 by 7 years. That proves that alternative ways of earning exp - items, quests, etc - do give quite good results. I cant say Im very lucky, not sure why your luck is so bad but it's never the case for me. I have more snake skins than I can use, I barely get anything but exp from fighting my sub male (and you can have up to 5, which is x5 chances of extra exp %) and the only times quests may take days for me is when the snake wants some exotic prey like hartebeest. Zebras and buffalos, my lvl 19 girls bring back within a day usually.
