Introducing my new species, buneiros! You can read all about them on this page.

Above shown are the female (on the left) and male (on the right) versions of buneiros. They are a closed species, but there are several ways to obtain one.

Updates

[01/07/15 1:15pm LD time] Hey sorry about the inactivity lately guys. I've been wanting to change the way I've been going about this species for a while, but uni's been taking up about 80% of my time, and honestly I'm running out of ideas for patterns on my current base, which makes me reluctant to put new ones out. My schedule should be much more lax after about the second week of August, and at that point I intend to make some very big changes to this species, including a new base and reworking the way I've been going about creating them. I'm not sure how I feel about the current breeding system, as it's also a huge weight on my shoulders to keep creating new ones in spite of how tightly I'm controlling the number of stars out there. As a result, I may be removing the breeding feature for all but special events. If I do decide to do something like this, all current breeding item purposes will be reworked to give you another equal form of compensation. They will not become obselete, so don't worry about that.

[25/03/15 4:07PM LD time]Looks like the great majority would like both backgrounds and decors for their buneiros! I'll be working on decorations, to be released some time in the future. :3

Rule of the thread

Please respect all other players. Anyone found being rude, hostile, or making someone uncomfortable will be banned from the thread and from owning any buneiros without exception. I will give no warnings. I'm not a strict person, but the need for this rule has arisen so please abide by it.

As long as you act respectfully towards others, you don't need to worry about this.

Rules of Owning

You may have art done of your buneiro.
You may not claim the species as your own.
When you own a buneiro, the character is yours and you may treat it as such.
You may not alter your buneiro's design.
You may resell your buneiro, but please link them back to the species page and/or this thread. Also, no selling for more than you paid for it, that is, no profit selling.
You are allowed charge a fee if someone wishes to use your buneiro for breeding.(Like studding.)

Obtaining your own Buneiro

You can get buneiros in three ways.

Contests
- There will occasionally be contests for your own buneiro. Keep an eye out!
Auctions
- Buneiros will sometimes wander around looking for a home. When this happens, you'll be able to attempt to impress them with beetles!
Breeding
- This will be explained more in detail later on.

I tried to come up with a new contest buneiro, but I've run out of inspiration </3 So it's up to you guys to help me! Give me something that exists in our world, whether it be some element of nature, some manmade object, a scenery, or even something abstract to help me design the buneiro! The winner will be chosen by random number generator.

One suggestion per person, and the winner will receive a buneiro with the theme they suggested. :3

Auctions

Rules

Please don't bother other bidding players. Next time this happens, you will be disqualified from winning. Everyone has a right to bid and shouldn't be told not to.
Once you've bid, you've bid. If you're not sure whether or not you will keep to your word, then don't bid. I'm lenient with this if you have sudden money issues, but don't bid 10GB if you only have 5.

1GB = 1100SB
MI = 100SB

Custom Auction Rules:

After winning a custom auction, you cannot win again for the following two custom auctions.
There is a 30 minute snipe guard on the last 30 minutes of an auction. This means that if anyone bids within the last 30 minutes of the end date of the auction, the auction will be extended by 30 minutes from the time it was supposed to end.

This is an auction for a fully customized buneiro. You may choose everything, with a chance for a mutation(if your buneiro is mutated, you can choose the mutation). If bids exceed 40GB, I will offer completely custom art for your buneiro.

@Virgo It's okay, I understand you wanting to know! I'm currently really busy with university, so I don't have time to keep up with it during these semesters, but I'm very likely going to have a lot more free time during my work terms. My first work term starts in september, and my school and work terms will be alternating every four months after that, so for the activity to go back up to the level that it used to be at, I probably won't be able to do that until september. I'd also like to change some of the things I've set up with the species to make it more organized and easier on me, but haven't had the time to do any of that.

tl;dr It should be active again in late august, when my semester ends, or september!
