So, most egg items are just food, right? Here's my idea: they could make it a possibility to try to "hatch" eggs, only since lions are kind of clumsy and heavy, they have only a VERY VERY slim chance of actually succeeding... IF they succeed, though...you get some kind of decor featuring a bird or chick! What do you think? I figure it's not too incredibly far-fetched, seeing as they actually already have a "hatch" option in place on the Vulture's Egg item, but that doesn't yield decor (i think it yields exp or something??) The idea behind this would be an actual bird coming out of the egg and being wearable by a lion like so many other animal "companion" decorations...and as said before, it has only the tiniest chances of actually working (to keep it fair, rare, and to maintain a modicum or realism). Please let me know if there is some glaringly obvious reason this is a bad idea, so i can learn from my mistakes... :P

Support; not only the eggs could hatch, but they could possibly "grow" into a adult! It could also assist in hunt, depending on the bird~ [Eggs could be of a random species, except from the Vulture eggs.]

Ooh. I like this idea. If you tried to hatch it, then it could say, "You built a nest for the little egg! Hopefully it can survive..."
Something along the lines of that. ^_^

I don't know whether I do like this idea or not... I mean, yes it would be fun. But it's a little illogical? How can a lion raise a bird? Don't the momma birds need to regurgitate in order to feed them?

I think it would be a 1 use only decor, like the incects.
But support!

I could see attaching this decor to a wee baby, and as their stages change, the decor "ages" :o!!

Ehh, I have to say no support. I like unrealistic things, but I just.. Hatching an eggs and all, I can't see it. There's very little chance of keeping it warm enough to hatch.. And even if it DOES manage to hatch, how in the world is the lion going to feed it?

Sounds like a cute idea, support!

And for all you people saying "lions wouldn't be able to hatch eggs", it's actually already possible to hatch eggs. Vulture eggs, it gives +20 karma (and you can also eat it to give -20 karma, but that's irrelevant x3 ).

I don't see how this is any different, you just have a small chance of getting a bird decor (maybe 1 of several outcomes) instead of getting karma.

@Kraft-

Thats not always the case. If the bird breed only lays an egg or two and immediately begins sitting once the egg is laid then yes. If the egg is found from mass layers after the hen has been sitting then again yes.

But with multiple mass laying birds, they lay over a period of time, usually with other hens, in the same nest. The eggs are never sat on or incubated in the slightest until one of the hens decides she wants to be a mother and takes to sitting on the nest. By this point, the nest could have been building eggs for a month or more. This happens with chickens, ducks, geese, guineas...the list goes on.

@Danny-

It really depends on the type of bird you get from the eggs. If the egg hatches a Chicken or a Guinea fowl or even geese or ducks, the baby wouldn't necessarily have to be fed by the lion. Any of the afor listed birds are pretty self reliant from birth. This is why you can buy them as babies from feed shops and pet stores and the like. As long as seeds or plant material and water are around, they are good to go.
