Hunting Thread

nzhilk.jpg

You have left your forest home, left without your pack. The earthquake shook a massive hole in your life. Now, you search for the Valley of Hope and for a new pack to share your life with.

Before each post you must put this:
With Alpha's name's Pack
Character name || Sex || Age || Rank
This is to make sure there is no confusion.

Occasionally I will post plot updates, with weather/prey/landscapes coming into play. You’ll see what I mean after I’ve done this a few times. Every update will have ‘Plot Update’ written before it.

Please take your time with your responses, and allow at least couple of people to post their own replies before you post again, even if you’re only interacting with one person at the time. This makes sure replies are well thought out, nobody is controlling someone else’s character, and everyone has the chance to get involved in whatever happens before the RP moves on from that.

Pack hunts will be arranged every so often by the alpha. I will set up a hunting thread that I will link here. Once the alpha has chosen the hunters you will RP that your character has left with the hunting party, and then switch to the hunting thread to RP the hunt. This is so that characters in the hunt and in the rest of the pack don’t get confused about who is where. I find it makes things much easier to follow this way. You may hunt small prey alone here, but group hunting must be done away from the pack, in the hunting thread. You will then RP your return here, and either bring the prey or lead the pack to the prey, all in this thread. Only hunting will take place in the hunting thread.

My rule of at least four sentences per post is absolute. If you don’t follow this you will get a strike by your name. Three strikes and you will no longer be allowed to rp here. I may remove a strike if you post a lot of detail in your next few posts.

Strikes
Nobody :3 let’s keep it that way, yeah?

The last thing to say is have fun everyone!

Current Plot Update

The wolf pack travelled across the soaked plains and have come to the base of the mountain. The rains have passed for now and the sun shines down. However, they must make the decision to either go around or over the mountains. They will soon encounter new wolves, but whether this be a good or bad encounter is up to their choice! Spring is still here and flowers will soon bloom.

Character Sheets

No thread generated. The original poster of this RP thread will be able to generate one for this feature.

Remington || Male || 4 years || Alpha Male

Remington growled watching only a few wolves run his way and narrowed his eyes looking up the mountain... where were the rest? He then saw twist and rose his and looked at her. It was clear she was with them... but she chose to stand by his side. He wouldn't admit it but he was happy to see her. He nudge the side of her and gace her muzzle a lick and would like to have her by his side. "Twist, where is the alpha?" He started to lope forward in Kades direction and got the smell of the rest of the pack higher on the mountain.

"Twist help Kade! He then barked to the rest of the wolves in his pack that staid to fight to follow him. The anger and thought made Remington's look boil, he would not stand for this and wanted to get vengeance for his family. The time was now, the alpha shouldn't be a chicken and hide from a fight. He barked, and growled as he ran up to the leftover pack.

*sorry its on the smaller side wasnt sure what to post and dI don't have much time, but thought give something for others to work with*

With Remington’s pack
Velvet || Female || 4 years || Remington’s Mate || Alpha Female
Velvet’s appearance

Velvet was shocked at Dakota’s words, so unlike the hunter’s usual self. She wasn’t surprised to hear him take it back immediately, but the damage had already been done. You can’t say things like that without consequences, even if it is out of character. For everyone’s sake she was glad that Rivers decided to follow her. The femme really was in no mental state to fight now, and the pack didn’t need her fight with Dakota to escalate just as another pack attacked. She knew this wouldn’t just blow over, especially if it turned out that Rivers was carrying pups, but she hoped Dakota would talk with a little more tact the next time they saw him.

The pair crept around the fight, out of sight and hopefully unnoticed by the strangers. As Rivers pulled up alongside the older female, Velvet glanced to the side. The usually cheerful wolf was gone, replaced by a haunted mess of emotions. Velvet could feel her own heart breaking at the thought of her friend going through that. She stepped sideways toward the other wolf as she moved, bumping into her side. With a tilt of the head she nuzzled at her, trying to make her feel safer with the alpha female at her side. Having been a low rank all her life, she knew the mental reassurance that merely the presence of your pack’s alpha could have, and she hoped her presence would have the same effect on Rivers.

”Hey,” she spoke softly, partly to try and maintain a calm atmosphere and partly to keep the other pack from sensing them, ”You know you can talk to me, right? Even if it’s just a rant or ramble to get things off your chest, it might help. We’re pack, and I’ll always have your back.” She sent her a warm smile, wagging her tail slightly, still unaware that they walked closer to Kova with each step.

---------------------------

With Shadow’s pack

Hazel and Whirlwind had launched themselves towards the pack, eager to fight. Hazel burst ahead, momentarily enjoying her first proper run since her litter was born. That turned out to be a mistake as the first female before her (Kade) lunged, causing Hazel to dodge suddenly. The twist in her body made her abdomen twinge, still recovering from the birth, and she stumbled. The female hadn’t struck her target, by a very narrow margin, but Hazel’s moment needed to correct the stumble meant she wasn’t aware of Ajax targeting her from behind.

Whirlwind, meanwhile, hadn’t expected the female to so swiftly change targets. It was almost as though it had been a feign and the second attacker had been the female’s target from the start. She let out a startled whine as the stranger’s fangs met her front left leg, but an experienced fighter she used the moment to her advantage, aiming her own fangs at the exposed back before her. Should she miss her strategy would change, and she’d drop to a sudden roll to rip her leg from the other female’s grip. It would hurt, yes, but it would mean she would be free and ready for a counterattack.

Shadow’s eyes had been on Hazel and Whirlwind as they fought, but came back to where he stood when Vulcan whimpered. His lip curled up, hackles already tall from the anticipation of bloodshed, and a growl rumbled from his body. He knew if the pup somehow survived this fight he’d rip him apart before they made it back to the densite. There was no place for his kind of weakness in Shadow’s pack. However, it would also be satisfying to see the pup get ripped open by the other pack. The message would be sent loud and clear to the rest of his pack; if you’re weak enough to be caught, you aren’t worth saving.

”Vulcan,” he snapped, growing agitated as the small creature whimpered, padding about, ”You’ve been swapped to the first wave. Stop your cowering and get out there now!” He emphasised the order with a snap of his teeth aimed just short of the pup’s rump, an attempt to startle him towards the fight.

(Yes, Velvet sees Rivers as a friend…in fact she sees the whole pack as friends because that’s just how she grew up. If they’re pack, they’re friend, and she’ll feel equally protective about all of them)

Lynx | Female Fighter | 4 Years, 5 Months | Shadow’s Pack
Lynx let out a low vicious growl as Shadow snapped at Vulcan sending the female careening back into her most painful memory. The sun was bright as it filtered through the trees, Lynx was tussling with her brother her own gray-blue and onyx fur mixing with his red-brown fur...then a voice, deep threatening...male, after her mother's voice cautious than fearful. A male as black as shadow turned the corner...the first grown male Lynx and her brother,Lion, had ever seen...where was her mother? That question was answered as her mother and a larger female turned the corner, but Lynx’s attention was quickly distracted as her brother ran toward the male, alway curious and always friendly. It was so quick Lynx had almost missed it, so final. One second her brother was trotting up to the dark male small ears perked, muzzle open in a friendly grin, tail wagging one hundred miles per hour. Than the dark male had moved with horrifying speed grabbing the pup by the neck and giving the small male a vicious shake, breaking Lion’s neck with a loud snap before dropping the pup to the ground. Lynx had known, even if her mother's cry of pain was not indication enough, Lynx knew somehow despite her young age, she felt that her brother was gone as painful as any physical wound… gone forever. Her reaction had been instinctual...no time for knee shaking fear...that would come later. She had ran at the towering brute teeth bared as she launched herself at his throat able to grab on, kick, twist, bite harder. It had done nothing, her teeth too small to break through the thick ruff of fur protecting the males neck. The rest was a blur, mind breaking pain across her eye for a pup who had never before been wounded, the sound of her mother's voice anger and pain becoming softer as Shadow did his worse, to set an example. Than a strange wolf grabbing hold of her scruff...and bringing her to a new home though home it never was and home it would never be. Lynx shook her head viciously to rid herself of the horrible memories her blue eyes darkening with anger so profound her legs shook with the effort to hold her spot, to not attack the alpha male until the second wave was called and the rest of the pack left. Lynx’s gaze turned toward the fight and saw a huge merle male come barreling through the heart of the battle, seemingly determined to reach the remaining wolves and fight them alone. “Shadow!” Lynx yelled pure fury still evident in her voice,but that could easily be dismissed as battle rage. “A large wolf has broken through...he is heading our way.”

Kova | Male Hunter | 4 Years | Shadow’s Pack
Kova watched as two females broke away from the pack trying to skirt the main battle. Moving quietly in such a way that spoke of his ancestor’s skills at hunting the male circled around the pair coming up from behind them placing himself between them and the distant fight. The male had heard snatches of conversation, had noted that the dappled brown female had seemed ready to tear into one of her fellow packmates while the delicately tricolored alpha had calmed her down by expressing the need for her scouting skills. The male did not know the exact reason for the dappled females outburst, but he could guess as the scent of not only her pack but Shadow’s pack as well as fear, pain and rage was entwined with her trail. He felt a flash of guilt for trapping them, then a flash of anger at his fellow pack member for what he had undoubtedly done to the female. Kova let out a low growl suddenly rising out of the long grass behind the two, his russet and white fur rippling over honed muscles. Kova was average in size, but he was male,he was bigger and likely stronger than either of the females...he would have to be careful though as being ganged up on could have very fatal consequences. The growl had not been a sign of aggression but frustration for the empathy he felt for the members of this new pack and a vocalization of the fight between two very integrated parts of his personality, honor, to do what was right and loyalty to stand behind his pack on whatever path was chosen.

Kade || Female || 5 years || Beta female

Kade knew she was going to be bitten, but she could handle it, so she just stood, doing her best to ignore the burning pain. Eventually, her grip tightened; her jaws were trying to close, but there was a leg bone in the way. She could break it, of course, as her jaws and teeth were made for ripping and tearing and breaking bones, but she rather didn't want to. Blood was in her mouth and on her back, and in a swift, angry motion, she jerked on the leg. Hopefully, her opponent would fall over, unable to stand on three legs when there was the weight of a fairly large she-wolf pulling on one, but if not, Kade would let go and attack again, going for another, less irritating hold.

Ezrin || Female || 2 years old || (Shadow's) Beta Female (who has turned)

Ezrin grinned, truly a savage, as the fight really began. Kade really was an excellent fighter - she changed targets so smoothly, you'd think it had just been a feint. Deciding not to dwell on it, she went for Remington, running right at him. Compared to the male, she was tiny, but at the last second, she veered off to the side where Dakota stood, the one who had been fighting with the mottled brown she-wolf who went off with another female. She was aiming to bite his shoulder - not hard, but just enough so to look like she was actually attacking while she told him they'd switched sides. There was no way in hell she was going to be 'attacking' the alpha male to tell him, and she decided that this one could get the point across nicely. If she missed, she'd roll to avoid losing her balance and go at him from the back.

Rivers || Female || 3 years || Scout

"You don't know how much that means to me," Rivers said quietly. "Well . . . I guess I noticed Dakota, when we all first met, and we talked for a bit. He was super nice and interesting, but I liked Sollux more and I thought he'd be okay with that. I guess he just got jealous or whatever, and earlier, when I was attacked, he was so concerned so I thought he'd gotten over it and was okay with being friends - what was that?!" Her sentence abruptly changed course as she heard a growl. When she checked, glancing around, she found a large male, clearly not one of them.

Her eyes went emotionless and her voice was deadpan as Rivers said, "I dare you. I dare you to attack me or my alpha, because I may not be a fighter, but no one from your godsforsaken pack will ever lay a paw on me again." By that point, the fur on her shoulders was puffed up, her tail was about as bristled as it would ever get, and there was a line of fur raised along her back.

With Shadow's Pack
Vulcan || Male || 1 year || Pup

When Shadow spoke up, Vulcan froze and looked at the Alpha with wide eyes before nodding quickly, turning back to the fight. It seemed vicious out there, but the pup suddenly felt teeth close near his rump. He half-yelped and half-barked, leaping out of the bushes.

It wasn't graceful. Vulcan had to find his footing on the ground as he looked around, unable to keep himself from shaking. Which jaws would tear into him first? Blindly, he ran with heavy paws around the group of clashing wolves, tail streaming behind him as he glanced over.

Then it hit him. He didn't know anything about fighting. Vulcan skidded to a halt, panting already. I look out of place. Was he the only pup there?

Lynx | Female Fighter | 4 Years, 5 Months | Shadow’s Pack
As the large merle male came charging through the field straight toward her Lynx was caught between the option to stay and fight or run...she did neither. The experienced female had learned from past experience that her pelt colors usually kept her from detection when the shadows were long and the wind was favorable. Crouching low and squinting Lynx kept perfectly still and was rewarded for her effort...the absolutely massive male sailed over her in one bounding leap heading straight toward Shadow where he promptly challenged the pitch black wolf. Interested, Lynx watched the wolf circle Shadow, heard the merle’s comment...it was no surprise to find that Shadow had made more enemies than just herself. Defeating the dark wolf might be easier than she had originally thought, might not end with her fatally or cripplingly wounded...which brought to mind the future she had not planned out. Those thoughts were for later though...Lynx was an experienced fighter and she was not about to let the large merle have all the fun. That did not mean though that she would honorably jump in or in any way fight fai.Shadow was skilled though perhaps not as naturally talented as Lynx...unfortunately though he did have the advantage of size, gender, and experience...more than enough to be cautious of. Lynx was shocked that the merle did not attack when he could have taken the onyx wolf by surprise...perhaps confidence that his larger physique would triumph over Shadow easily enough or perhaps to be cautious or plan out an attack. Lynx truly hoped that the merle did not underestimate Shadow because the black wolf was smaller...she knew from personal experience how many of her enemies had underestimated her because of her small compact size….all of them were dead or severely wounded. Creeping closer Lynx slid up a gray boulder so that she was just above the two wolves heads...she had not physically given any indication what her real intentions were to be...

Kova | Male Hunter | 4 Years | Shadow’s Pack
Kova held completely still staring the tricolored female straight in the eyes his rust and white colored fur not exactly raised in aggression...but neither was it laid flat. Most females attacked in such a way as she had been were usually terrified of the opposite sex for a long while after...this one seemed to be intent on ripping his throat out. It was respectable, the mask of toughness and aggressiveness the female put up...the question was how long could it keep up until her experience broke through...the body often forcefully made a person face their wounds whether physical or mental. The more emotions held in, the more chance of an emotional outburst. Kova had experienced it time and again...random bursts of anger or fear held in behind the mask he put up to the pack. Once again loyalty to his pack and his personal conscience,or what was left of it, clashed. Loyalty could not just be dropped at a moments notice or when things get tough...but Kova’s mother had been a good wolf and had taught him to be a gentleman..despite being in Shadow’s territory actively worked against that. Making a decision Kova crouched emitting in a rumbling voice the russet wolf spoke…”I will not touch either of you as long as we all stay right here...deal? I do not want trouble.” It was a small move...would probably have been better to force to the two females to Shadow...but this was something Kova could do without compromising is loyalty or honor.

With Remington’s pack
Velvet || Female || 4 years || Remington’s Mate || Alpha Female
Velvet’s appearance

Velvet bumped her head against Rivers’ shoulder as the Scout replied, a sign of comradery and attempt to comfort her. She had planned to offer more words of comfort, and possibly some advice on dealing with Dakota when they reunited, but that was interrupted when a stranger’s growl came from behind them. Velvet startled and spun, hackles raised. Her reaction was not as quick as Rivers’ and she was shocked at how suddenly her tone changed.

As Rivers spoke Velvet realised what was happening. She could smell a stranger from her friend, their scent and that of their pack laced with her own. The same pack’s scent was on the male before them. Velvet snarled, a rare flash of anger going through her. How dare someone attack a member of her pack, someone it was now her job to guide and protect? The pack did that and then dared to confront her again.

The male’s words sounded as though he were trying to placate them. Normally forgiving and trusting in strangers unless proven otherwise, Velvet wasn’t taking any chances this time. She stepped forward, half shielding Rivers and eyes narrowed at the stranger. ”You dare try and make us stay here after your pack attacks us without warning?” she growled. The tension in her body would be intimidating had she any fighting experience but as it was she looked more like a pup standing off in a desperate attempt to save a loved one. Still she stood her ground, tail high enough to let him know that she was an alpha. ”You say you don’t want trouble, then you leave us be.”

Velvet nudged Rivers in the direction they’d been running before, ”We have to meet the pack further up the mountain,” she reminded her packmate, not wanting to lose track of what they were doing, ”We don’t want to leave them in danger waiting for us.” Rather than walking on, she waited to make sure Rivers went first, glaring at the stranger the whole time. She wasn’t stupid enough to turn her back on him when his pack was attacking them. If he truly meant them no trouble or harm then he’d let them go on.

---------------------------

With Shadow’s pack

Trained to be vicious from the time she could walk, as soon as Whirlwind’s teeth made contact with the femme’s (Kade’s) back she started to shake her head violently right and left to tear up the skin. Suddenly the grip on her leg tightened as jerked, and Whirlwind was able to combine both her attack plans into one. She used her opponent’s strength in the jerk to fall down with increased force rather than try to stay upright. Her teeth refused to let up, either dragging the wolf down with her or tearing painfully at the skin before the angle made her release her jaws.

The force of the fall simultaneously pulled her leg free from the crushing grip and battered her other shoulder against a sharp rock. Not missing a beat, she rolled back up into a standing position, stumbling slightly once she was up as neither front leg could support her weight alone anymore. ”This is good,” she snarled with a menacing grin, ”I hope you fight like this until the end, it’d be no fun otherwise.” She tensed, preparing herself for whatever the female’s next move would be.

Shadow, meanwhile, was grinning as the first blood began to spill. His ear flicked, the only acknowledgment that Lynx was yelling at him, chuckling at the fury in her voice. She was a good fighter and he looked forward to seeing her also ripping apart the strangers. He glanced across the grass to where the male in question was charging at him, eyes glinting and face lighting up into a menacing grin. He didn’t know the wolf’s name, but he wouldn’t forget that pelt pattern.

”What a pleasure,” he chuckled, stalking forward, ”To be able to wipe out multiple generations of a family.” He clawed at the dirt, gnashing his teeth, ready for a great fight, ”I look forward to watching the blood drain from your throat.” The wolf’s calling him a thing of hell may have been an insult to most, but to Shadow it was music to his deranged ears. He leapt forward in a swift movement, intent on going straight for the throat. He may not hit his target, but wherever he latched on to he’d immediately start tearing at, having no intention of fighting fairly. He was an average sized wolf, but there was a reason most wolves feared and respected him; any who didn’t somehow met their deaths, even those in his own pack. If Shadow missed his target, he’d spin as soon as his paws touched the grass, and lunge again with the same intentions.

As Shadow entered the fray, Hazel recovered from the momentary pain in the abdomen. Luckily she hadn’t been pounced on while the pain froze her, and she was able to rejoin the fight. She scanned the area quickly. There’s no way Whirlwind would want her interfering with her fight, nor the Alpha with his. Ezrin could manage the wimpy male she was headed for, and Vulcan would probably get himself killed without even meaning to join the fight. Hazel’s hackles raised, wondering whether she should track those she saw sneaking away from the fight, when she spotted Lynx. Her head tilted, trying to figure out what the Fighter was doing. Shadow would take no joy in Lynx helping him, the whole pack knew that. She ran forward, to the other side of the boulder from where the males had begun to fight.

”Lynx,” she called, ”What are you doing?” Her eyes narrowed, suspicious about her pack mate. Being in Shadow’s pack hadn’t made her trusting, and being a recent mother had heightened that fact.

With the first wave fighting, further back on the mountain Fang chose to take charge. ”Second wave,” he called, ”If you want to fight I’d say go down now, but otherwise return to the den site. There aren’t as many wolves as we thought, there’s really no need for two waves of attacks.” He turned back, bounding away. He was no coward, but he didn’t feel comfortable with Hazel’s pups being left unguarded. Someone should have stayed to protect them. Hopefully he didn’t get stopped on his way back to the den site.

Rivers || Female || 3 years || Scout

Rivers, the entire time the male spoke, was growling softly, deep in her chest. Absolute fury flashed in her eyes as he acted as if he had the upper hand, like he had something they wanted. "You don't understand," she snarled. "No, I don't think you understand. You have nothing to bargain with, except your life, and I'm sure that the two of us would have no problems killing you if you attacked. You will back away and you will let us continue on without a fight." Here, she paused, and her tone became a little more soft, almost gentle. She also stopped growling. "You don't seem as . . . I don't know . . . bad? as the others in your pack. Soon, there will be no pack. All of us were recently left packless, our families all killed by a massive earthquake. Sometimes, you cannot help what happens or under what circumstances you were born. If you mean no harm, and you swear to submit to our alphas and our beta, perhaps you could ask if they'd be willing to allow you to join our ranks."

With that, RIvers nudged Velvet, encouraging her to move, to walk by her side and not behind her, where it would be difficult to help in the event of another attack from the rear.

--

Kade || Female || 5 years || Beta female

Kade screamed. It was a much louder, more piercing sound than any other a wolf could make, and embodied much more fury. At this point, the beta was soaked in blood, was missing some of her fur, and was bleeding fairly heavily from where the other female had ripped off her skin. She wasn't hoping for any sort of help at all, but the pain from her wounds faded as she stood and pushed her feelings and senses away to the back of her mind. "I'll not die today, bitch," she snarled quietly, narrowing her focus. She was pretty sure that this fight would take a while to end, but she would stand victorious. There was no other option.

"I have fought, tooth and claw, every day of my life for survival. You will not be the one to best me today, or tomorrow, or in a million years," Kade growled, and lunged again. At this close a range, there was no chance of missing the she-wolf altogether, but she may not land exactly where she was hoping, which was Whirlwind's foreleg. If she landed, there was no doubt that bones would break this time, and if she missed, she was bound to get a good toothhold somewhere.

Kova | Male Hunter | 4 Years | Shadow’s Pack
Pain flashed in Kova’s sunlight yellow eyes, not a physical pain but a mental torture, something just as detrimental to one’s health as any wound that ran red. Putting on a burst of speed the male circled the two females keeping a good amount of distance before cutting in front of the two. “ I can’t, I can’t!” The russet moaned, a low keening noise that raked against the nerves. Getting a hold on himself the male continued looking at the small alpha female and dipping his head in such a way that acknowledged that she was more dominant...but not currently dominant over him.

“ I dare, I dare….I dare to try to make you stay here because I am a part of Shadow’s pack not your pack.” Switching his gaze to the wounded spitfire female beside the alpha Kova raised his head and perked his ears. “ You are correct...sometimes you can not control who you were born too, where you were born, and the circumstances that follow. I have found that is often the case...but I can control my loyalty and loyalty is not so fical as to switch at a moment's notice because a subordinate disagrees with the alpha. Pack is sticking together and the pack is the alpha who is, in turn, the voice of the pack. Shadow is ruthless and I will be first to admit that...but he has kept us fed, kept us strong….we have pups to guard and feed and they are doing well. Am I one to argue when Shadow says attack? You were bordering our territory...a threat to the young, a threat to each of my comrades.”

“Do you not understand? It does not matter if I kill you or you kill me as long as I do what is best for the pack and the alpha. It does not matter if I wish you no harm...I need to follow what Shadow would wish me to do and right now that would be forcing you to join the pack, killing you, or holding you here. The last is a stretch because of my own personal wishes but if they are forced to clash I fear that my individual wants and needs will be overshadowed by the needs and wants of Shadow and therefore the pack. They are fighting.” Kova turned his head and perked his ears at the low rumbling sentence the merle alpha had practically roared as he confronted Shadow. “Turning his gaze back to the to females Kova looked at them with pleading eyes and a low whine…”Please...at least wait until the fight is over. By law of challenge and tradition if your merle wins this fight my loyalty will switch to him as he would have proven his dominance and health and would be a better voice for the pack, many have forgotten this tradition but not I. If he does not win...I guess we will be on opposite sides of an invisible chasm separated by loyalty. Give time a chance at least.”

Lynx | Female Fighter | 4 Years, 5 Months | Shadow’s Pack
Lynx’s bright blue gaze gradually strolled toward the voice emanating from the bolder on the other side of the dip where the merle and Shadow were fighting...Hazel. Studying the female and her suspicious gaze Lynx gave a sarcastic twitch of an ear. “What does it look like I’m doing Hazel?” Lynx murmured in a carrying but quiet voice that would make ears strain to hear. “Rarely does one get to study the fighting techniques of one as experienced as Shadow...it is never too late to learn. You heard Fang...there is no need for two waves and we both know that I am no pup sitter, nor am I going to act like one by running toward the densite. Do what you wish, but I am content to sit here.” Lynx’s piercing blue eyes slowly moved pack to the fight between the two alpha’s...she honestly did not care if Hazel bought her story or not...it was partially true and Lynx was good at hiding her ‘additional’ intentions...but Hazel was a paranoid one and likely would have been even if Lynx had told the whole truth of the matter. Either way Lynx would not let that get in the way if the merle need ‘help’ achieving his victory. She hope Vulcan was alright...she would never forgive herself if he was not.

Remington || Male || 4 years || Alpha Male

Remington never lost focus in his target, watching every twitch, any movement and sound. Remington knew how Shadow would fight, he was not a clean fair fighter just out for the blood he could receive so, right as he he noticed Shadow ready to leap and bite at him Remington stood tall and flexed as he wasn't going to move and decided to take the first blow. This way it would make it easier for him to come back and bang up shadow. As Shadow had made it to Remington's throat Remington no matter how strong knew it hurt and barked loudly as Shadows teeth had dug in. With a little wince of pain Remington growled and tossed his head and quickly pounded himself to the side hoping to have all of his weight land on Shadow. Remington knew what part of Shadow he wanted to grab and if he could get it the fight would be over in a flash. The blood dripping from his neck.

Raoula|Female|4 years|Hunter

Raoula stood, terrified, in the midst of the battle. Around her, wolves were fighting furiously. She slipped in the mud and shrank back, eyes wide with fear. What should she do? She had told herself and the pack that she would fight, but it seemed she had underestimated their opponents. Shivering, she got up and tried to leap for the safety of the nearby bushes before the enemy saw and chased her. She wriggled deep into the bushes, ignoring the twigs and leaves that scratched at her, and huddled there, peering through the twigs at the fight and tensed to run if an enemy wolf should spot her.

Aatu|Male|5 years|Fighter

Aatu sprang towards the enemy pack, growling with his lips pulled back from his teeth. He was determined to fight alongside his new pack, and he certainly wasn't going to let them down. He whirled around, his eyes scanning the pack for a target. Who was he going to attack? He noticed a young wolf, basically a pup, at the edge of the fight (Vulcan). He ran towards this wolf, snarling. The wolf was too young to fight properly and Aatu thought it would be unfair to attack him. Instead, he snapped, "Go away, pup. Run, and stay safe. This is not your fight."
