Newbies are being targeted by experienced players, please share this to spread the word! Scamming is the worst, and it's when a person tells you that they need xxx and will ''pay you later'', but they never do, and they make off with your xxx Here are surefire ways to get scammed Traditional studding What is it? It's when you send a lioness along with a payment of ### to have her bred. The breeder keeps her for 3 days (you can't transfer pregger lionesses) and waits for the cubs to be born. Traditional breeding is unsafe. Just because there are honest studs doesnt mean all studs are nice. I've heard stories of people doing traditional breeding and they had their lioness stolen. But i recommend using the current system because it is much safer then sending your lionesss over to an *unknown* person. Staff can't give you your lioness back, but they can persuade the scammer to give you the lioness back. User suggestions Also, transfering items to a person when they say they "will pay soon" and never does. Better to make the trade private and send them the link, keep it up until they actually buy the trade out. ~Sheba (Double Russet!) (#52208) Also, ARTISTS, never send not watermarked full size piece before someone pays you! Small, heavily watermarked one first. Finished one, after payment. Always! ~Ranfun [PFM] [OC] (#46507) Also a thing I see: people selling elderly lionesses who can't breed :/ Especially when they're advertised in breeding terms, like..."Celestial Lioness 10 marks High Stats." It's not exactly lying or against TOS but for newer players who don't know better it's super misleading. ~Scyllarus (#26842) *lionesses cannot breed after 14 years of age ALWAYS read through an offer on a trade, someone may of offered you 8SB rather than the 9GB buyout asking price. You may accidentally click thinking it's GB but make sure to read through thoroughly because this has happened multiple times, luckily I haven't been a victim but I know it was a big problem back in the early days of lioden. ~sanguai (#61810) Sometimes people will go around and ask newbies if they could send their lionesses to them so that the experienced player (not the newbie) to "train the lioness". But then they'll end up keeping the lioness for themselves. ~~Simba the Fluffy Lion~ (#27778) I've seen people falsely advertise items, lions/lionesses, etc as something they aren't. For example, I've seen people advertise lions as "savage maned" when they were in demand for what looked like a great deal. But closer inspection of the lions in question I saw that they had a different mane. But someone could easily be so excited about the "great deal" they are getting buy the trade out and not realize they got scammed till to late. Please check things out if a deal seems to good to be true! I seen people offer monkey business/oasis/event backgrounds as "RARE SPECIAL RAFFLE ONLY BACKGROUND". And they are selling they turn to be selling none raffle backgrounds for huge overpriced prices. Someone could be scammed by this thinking they are getting a very rare background. Only to find out it was not the case and the background they got scammed into buying could have been bought for a much cheaper price tag. Remember raffle exclusive backgrounds will have [Raffle] - in front of the name just like dynamic backgrounds will have [D] in front of the name. If it does not have [Raffle] - in front of it. It is not a special raffled background. Please note there is only been 4 different raffle backgrounds released and used in weekly raffles cycles thus far. They are "[Raffle] - Coast, [Raffle] - Hottentots Mountains, [Raffle] - Lush Oasis, and [Raffle] - Night Vegetation. ~Ivy (#2473) Pay close attention to branch prices. Sometimes you'll get something like a simple skull or feather with a price that reads "5 SB, 1 GB" which is incredibly sketchy to me. So pay attention to that when looking for things in branches. ~Lammergeier (#8680) {helper} *I advise new players to stay out of branches because they are usually overprices ex: 1 feather for 2gb If you are not sure about the pricing, ask {sales} chat! (but follow chat rules) Please, don't send items/lionesses to players just because they said ''will pay soon'' or ''i dont have the money, but i'll pay you soon'' Please, use the trading system to avoid any scammers. It's best to report them to the modbox with the screenshot of the pm. You can prevent someone's lion being stolen that way :) Think i missed something? I spent a bunch of gb on a Ferus lioness and didn’t realize the age was literally one day from aging up and retiring 😭 my fault but so sneaky of someone to sell it like that 0 players like this post! Like? |

To anyone worried about Traditinal breeding! Heres a little something i did not long ago: I was out of stud slots so i offered 3 free traditional breeding to the first people to pm me! The first person was a newbie who didnt know what it was. So i explained to them. They were worried their lioness wouldn't come back to them (She was a gorgeous little Bobbed tail named Hot Chocolate!) And so i exchanged one of my very own mutie(a clean daedal!) for Hot chocolate: They kept my mutie until she went back to them. So basicly, If your worried about Traditional breeding, maybe ask the person to, just incase, exchange a lion with a similar value with them!! Of course this still has risk, since they can end up giving you a lioness that isn't worth anything. But its one way that i've found! Though, stay safe everyone! Omg, grab bags are such a big scam. They say they will give grand prizes like apps and hybrids, but in reality you’re just getting feathers and herbs. Grab bags are against the lioden rules, anyways. People will sell them for like 500 sb a bag and scam newer players. 1 player likes this post! Like? |

when i was newer, i made a trade of a achro cub, g2 clean, good base, and someone offered a 14yr 4 mo old dwarf and i thought i could breed it but i couldnt, ad they ended up selling the achro. i didnt know you couldnt breeed a lioness over 14 yrs 0 players like this post! Like? |

also, an idea for newer players when they can chat, is to go to giveaway chat and look through ppls dens, you can find some good lions there to build a good starting pride 0 players like this post! Like? |

Remember though, selling an older lion/lioness is NOT scamming in any way unless they are outright lying or spreading false info (like directly saying that they have heats left, will live longer than the Lioden age. Mostly, if this person knows the truth and is saying it just to get a sale from someone who doesn’t know.) etc way too many people say selling old babes is scamming when in reality come on now guys. Anyone can sell their Lion/lioness at any age. Though, you may have fallen into the hole of forgetting to check or getting caught up in the other traits, it’s not really a scam, more like a mistake. Even if the person way overprices them that doesn’t necessarily mean anything, the market is fr all over the place if I’m being honest,,,, even if it’s a hassle for newer players, we all make that one mistake when joining a new game. So yes, it sucks, but try to remember that people selling old lions are not necessarily trying to target anyone <3 still be careful bc there are people who do want to rob you,, for the most part though Lioden is a really good community and I’m glad I’ve never fell victim to this    0 players like this post! I’d stress reading reverse breeding rules, noticed a few with split heats where the owner of the lioness gets first pick. It’s crummy but most of the time they do change the rules around 0 players like this post! Like? |
