It is the Golden Age of Piracy and Nassau is the a place where pirates can find freedom and not be expected to follow any laws. Because of this is is den of smuggling, crime, murder and much more. Violence is well known here and there is perhaps none more violent than the man who seems to have complete control over the island. One Charles Vane. Somehow and no one truly knows exactly he has managed to take control of the island piece and piece. Not only that but he captains a crew of the most violent and brutal of men. Men who are despicable and dangerous in every way possible. And their leader is not much better. Even so there are times when even the most violent and brutal of men know they can’t handle a task on their own.

And with the British Navy threatening to take control of Nassau Vane has resorted to doing the one thing he would rather die than do. Ask for help. Despite his hatred for admitting any weakness on his part he knows if he wants to keep his control of Nassau and the freedom of the pirates who both fear and respect him he has little choice. And therefore he has requested any pirate crew available to step forward and lend their sword, their arms and their strength to keeping Nassau free. With the Navy on their doorstep en masse the pirates need to move quickly so they can be ready to fight for what they want to keep.

The Navy isn’t about to let lawless men control the sea or Nassau. They see these men as criminals and deplorable creatures who need to be dealt with. And they are ready to do what it takes to gain control of Nassau and hopefully put and end to pirates. Even if it means resorting to using methods such as privateers or other less than wholesome choices.

So the question comes to pass who do you stand with and will you even make a stand at all?
