The Raptor Butterfly HamsterIn Northern Russia, a team of breeders and scientists have bean cross-breeding, rearranging genes, and simply trying to create a predatory hamster. Their true intentions were to simply create something new while under the false excuse that they were trying to create a predatory small animal to combat the growing problem of rabies-infected rats. These creatures are indeed carnivorous, but do not survive well in the wild, as they were extremely unhealthy and sickness was easy and quick to spread among them. They terminated the project rather early on and these little guys have bean sold on the black market recently as exotic pets. Species General Information:Species Name: Butterfly Raptor Hamster Height: 8-10 in Weight: 1.5 – 2.6 lbs Looks As their name implies, these guys tend to have unique markings on them that will be mirrored exactly on each side of them white or cream as the markings color. There is usually only two colors to a hamster. Eyes are usually black, but rarely, and this is considered a mutation, can be blue and sometimes amber. They look like Hamsters, but with slimmer bodies, sharp talons on their dominate toes on three-toed hands and feet, split faces with a clear mid-line, and their ears are very small with long tufts of fur being their only protection. there is no outside cartilage for the ear. Habitat: Just in captivity, there are no longer any surviving in the wild. They do best in pens kept indoors with open room to move and explore. Diet: They are predatory, and if they lived in the wild they would track and eat slow-moving or burrowing animals, using their claws to repeatedly stab their prey to death and then consume them with the set of small K9s. They still like to store food, as their saliva has some sort of preserving agent and they will spend hours licking their food and then burying it, digging it up later to continue eating their food. Gender Ratio and Differences: There is usually 1 male to every 4 females, as Female's are much more dominate and tend to be bigger, and Males are sickly little things that can only usually breed 3 times in his lifetime. General Temperament and Personality: The Females are hostile and territorial, becoming agitated whenever another female can be scented in her territory. Males are very docile and mellow, often just roaming around until they are killed or claimed and 'kidnapped' by females and forced to breed when the female wants a litter. Males are often killed by competing females or their current mate if he refuses to breed. If The hamsters are kept separate, then Females can become more social and friendly. Health: Not a very healthy breed. These guys are riddled with disease or mutations. They have odd tumors that half will grow on their cheeks and throat in their life and likely suffocate from. Lifespan is expected between 2-6 years. Social characteristics: Males are usually anti-social and like to roam about on their own, while females, if there is no sign of another male, will group together in small numbers and may interact in a community or pack system. Female's will however start fighting and killing one another if a male is introduced. Breeding: Females compete for the safest places to raise litters. She will usually be pregnant for little over a month and a half, and will give birth in privet, or if in a community a joint burrow, with litters ranging usually from 5-8 pups with 2-3 pups surviving birth. Pups take about 6-8 months to fully mature. Mutations: -Eyeless -Rare/uncommon random trait -Long claws -Long teeth Current Genetics:Base color(C): Common: Cream Uncommon: Grey, Brown, Ginger Rare: White, Black, Blue-Grey, Burgundy Marking color(M): Common: White Uncommon: Cream, Grey Rare: White & Cream, Cream & Grey Body Type(B): Common: Standard Uncommon: Long Legged Fur(F): Common: Standard Rare: Hairless Eye Color(E): Common: Black Uncommon: Amber, Yellow Rare: Blue, Red Tails(T): Common: None Uncommon: Hairless Rare: Gerbil Current Owners/Adoptables RP Thread Breeding *** this species is not open yet!! 0 players like this post! Hmm what kind of color fur an eye's you going to do? You could do like Red eye's but it should be rare or only if the Hamster is white and both parents where white and had red eye's, and that it's like 5% chances to get the red eye's, but the white fur is some what uncommon. Because I sometimes dis-like it when someone makes an introectioned breed able species. And have a rare eye color or base and it seem's so easy to get it.. I understand that people want it but that's why theres item's. Back to the cute thing. You could have: Fur: Short hair(seem like they are already have that.) - The "standard" fur, short and smooth. SH is dominant. Long - Fluffy long fur. Usually longer in males than in females. The LH gene is recessive. Saint - Smooth shiny satin fur. The Satin gene is dominant. Caution: Never mate Satin x Satin since the outcome would have very bad and thin fur, seeming very greasy. Rex - Curly fur (including the whiskers), possible in short haired and long haired. The Rex gene is recessive. Caution: Rex x Rex matings should be avoided since the fur and eye lashes would curl so much. It could lead to eye irritation and disorientation due to strongly curled whiskers. Umbrous - Umbrous puts a gray layer on top of the original color and therefore darkens the hamster. It is not clear if it is a color by itself or considered a fur pattern. When mixed with certain colors it does create new colors, like Cream + Umbrous is Sable. It is dominant. Item's: You can change them to your liking Mealworm: You feed this to your Raptor Butterfly Hamster. They seem very happy, and have 10% more chance for an extra pupI Malted Milk: You feed this to your Raptor Butterfly Hamster. You have a 20% chance of haven an extra pup that will survived! Chocolate: You feed this to your Raptor Butterfly Hamster. The female seem to have a bit of tummy ache. You have a 25% chance to having a mutation pup or two! Chocolate it poisons to actual hamster. This could cost about 4gb or so. Other You could have other things that could make it to have a higher chance to get a mut or rare eye color, or pelt color. Plus you could do patterns to, some common, uncommon, rare, ultra rare. Umm so far this is all I can think of. I if have more I will re edit this thenXD 0 players like this post! Like? |

lol uhm.... seems a whole lot more complicated then what I was planning to do. lol But I think I get what your going with. I'm not going to Implement so many fur or tail types, as that requires drawing and I'm lazy lol but maybe the other things... hmmm... Maybe I could implement genetics in a way, but IDK 0 players like this post! Like? |
