"You know Okami, you might like talking to Viola," he said gently "You two seem to have the same outlook" he chuckled "She's not hard to miss, she has two different colored eyes" he bowed his head "If of course that's ok with Starlord" he turned to him with a smile "I know what you mean by the way, the old king Kissan, comes to me often, even now that my time is running thin,".he sighed "Hopefully when I go, I will have a chance to guide Nfume in the afterlife"

Nfume tilted his head "What do you mean when you go? Where are you going?" He said looking up at Umeme "No where yet Nfume I'll tell you later" Nfume just sat and leaned on Mahali "He always says that" he said quietly "He has a long way to go this one" Said Umeme with a sigh

Viola sat under her tree and munched on a tiny meerkat carcass

Mahali moved from Nfume and sat by Starlords paws "You got big paws" he said, Umeme "Mahali be respectful" he said sternly Mahali kept staring "Why do all of you have big paws, none of the grown ups i remember had paws that big"

Starlord laughed. "Biger paws for exploring more ground. " he said with a smile. He looked up at Umeme "you much have your paws full with them dont you?" He asked.

Okami was looking at lionesses eyes to try to find Viola. Then she saw her. Okami walked over to the mahogany female and looked at her. "Umeme said we have a lot in common?" She said, her voice sounding flat.

Umeme laughed "I sure do, I'm not sure Mahali has ever seen a lion until I rescued him" he smiled "Luckily Nfume helps balance him out"

Viola stared at the lioness before him "If by 'a lot in common' he means we both think this whole meeting thing is stupid then yes," she said with a sigh "Hello, I'm Viola, I'm kinda new around here," she looked the lioness over again "Are you new here or something?"

Starlord let out a chuckle. "Cubs will be cubs. Even if they arnt lions."

Okami snorted. "This is stupid. No. I belong in starlords pride. he dragged me alone. And I couldnt even make the excuse of being pregnant! Even if the cubs are nowhere in site." She sighed."my name is Daku Okami but most just call me Okami. "

Viola smirked "Umeme wanted me to go along to help with the old broads" she scoffed "I told him I had to hunt, if it weren't for my eyes he'd force me to do everything, I guess that's one blessing from having rare eyes" she sighed "You're more than welcome to hang with me until this meeting is over Okami" she sat up "I can't believe I even considered coming to this pride" she said

Umeme smiled "You're right, cubs will be cubs" he chuckled "I can hardly remember being a cub nowadays" he laughed "How about you?"

Starlord shook his head. "I dont remeber anything before my adolescent years." He said.

Okami laughed. "Its the same with Royal. She gets to do what ever she wants." Okami snorted and sat down. "Being in a pride has some perks. Though it can get rough." She growled. "I wish that mothers would keep there cubs to themswlf and not let them run around killing themselfs."

Viola rolled her eyes "I know! The broodmothers here are so picky, they only watch the cubs they want to watch and the others just fend for themselves," she sighed "When I have cubs by Umeme or one of his allys I'll force one of them to watch my cubs, give them a chance at least" she looked over at Umeme and Starlord as they talked "I do appreciate being here, my old pride was close to throwing me out, it's just some of the other lionesses irritate me, like that stripped fool Giza, she thinks shes all that especially since that starving leopard hangs around her" she scoffed again


Umeme smiled "Even my adolescence is somewhat of a blur," he sighed at the thought "I guess the older you get the more you focus on the now"

Okami shrughed. "I dont know. Maybe the experience of traveling or something." She said as she gazed at her king.

Kika nodded. "Yeah. Her fur color was dark but she was a kind cub." She said remeberimg the ebony cub.

Haru smiled "To think I've been a grandmother this long without knowing, your father might be used to it but I'm not" she laughed

Umeme nodded "Nfume will be a good king I hope" he said as he watched Nfume and Mahali play "He's real confident, a little over confident at times" he chuckled "What about you Starlord? Do you have any heirs?"


Viola nodded "I've had enough experience traveling, when Umeme took me from my old pride, that journey was way to long" she sighed "Its sad how they almost threw me out"

Starlord shook his head. "None right now, but I do have a submale. Hus name is Tautris. He ia a good loyal lion but not one to be a king." He said with a grunt


Okami nodded. "A good pride wouldnt through out the best lioness they have. That would just make them weak!"

Umeme nodded "I had two sub males, Eluran left with my ally Treznor, and Seto" he paused "Seto chose to be a rogue, he was loyal to Kissan and refused to accept me as king, I'm glad I found Nfume when I did, I saw him be born, and now I get to help him grow"
