 Unseen magic has begun its work here. The descendants and allies of King Galbatorix himself have begun to rise - as if the King himself is returning. The days of the dragon riders have begun once again, and we must rise to destroy the threats that have begun to surface. Rise, my brave warriors and Dragon Riders, and we shall fight once more. The Riders  The Riders are men and women who are bonded to a dragon. They are bonded for life; when a dragon dies, his rider lives on. When a rider dies, however, so does their dragon. Riders are skilled in both aerial and ground combat once fully trained, and can conduct magic from their bond with their dragon. Elves have a higher chance of being chosen, although most riders will be human. Riders: (6/6) Lyanna Firenze-Partner: Belynda (Calla N.) They can only speak telepathically to their riders, and are skilled in combat. They can be any size, color, shape, etc. and can breathe substances such as fire and frost. They will start out as eggs. They can be any kind of person, and can come from anywhere. They will accompany the Riders and their dragons on their journey to destroy the new threats. They do not have dragons themselves, although they can ride another's dragon if allowed. Warriors: (Unlimited amount) Evelyn Forestyne-Atlas Gerrit Walker-Dick Grayson Reagen Reedsson-PotatoLord Cobal Ventch-Jacques Mavrin-Bailey Rules -Only one dragon per person. Only six can join the roleplay, as I don't want an insane amount of dragons. -No godmodding. -No instant kills. -No Gary or Mary Sues. Everyone has weaknesses. -I allow cussing, but please don't flood your post with curse words -Fade to black during sexual scenes The Beginning The assassins of the King have hidden the eggs along the Spine, as the King cannot make the eggs hatch without their Riders present. The Riders will find their eggs, which will give them an advantage; however, the moment that egg hatches is the moment when their very lives are thrust into danger. Meanwhile, the warriors have been notified of the existence of dragon Riders from unknown sources, and seek to find and aid them in their perilous journey to destroy the gaining strength of evil. Rider-Male Elf-Rider Rider smiled. "You are quite handsome." He said, barely above a whisper. He crouched down to be eye level with the dragon. His eyes showed intelligence beyond belief, but it hadn't been reigned in. All of his mind must be a scramble, coming out from an egg that had been left hidden for who knows how long? "Do you have a name?" He asked, in the same quiet tone. He didn't want any suspicion to arise outside. What would Rider do with this dragon? Bring it back to the elves? Hide from the humans king? Go to the dwarves? Too many things ran through his head, he couldn't concentrate or think straight. Mentions- Zircon Other- so, who names the dragon? Does the rider name the dragon or does the dragon come with a name? I believe that in the book, Brom gave Eragon the idea of the name Saphira. ((Of course, if the rider names, I would give the dragon the name he has I.e. Zircon.)) Radia-Female Human-Rider Radia didn't know what to do. Something seemed to be... moving on the inside. She turned. "You!" She called to the lady in the forest. "H-help!" She stuttered. What was she to do? Radia didn't even know what this stone was! The stone was moving, but as time passed, it slowed, and the heat cooled as time passed. Radia's breathing was getting heavier, but she attempted at control-- succeeding, but only slightly. ((Brom gave Eragon a list of dragon names; Eragon told the whole list to Saphira. That is the same time he learned she was female, as he was listing male names and she rejected them all. Once he started on female names, she chose Saphira from the list offered.)) 0 players like this post! Like? |

I can't remember if the dragons can speak to their riders as hatchlings or not x.x) Evelyn Forestyne / Werecat / Warrior / Female / 23 years / Lake Isenstar / Mentions: Radia, Salanthis, Open for interaction ______________________________________________________________________________________________ Evelyn shook her head, "My dear, I have no clue where you got that, but that is a dragon egg and it has chosen you as its rider... You are in a lot of danger." The werecat woman felt sympathy for Radia, and was debating what to do in her head. This girl would need protection, which the warrior could provide, if she wanted to risk her own life over a dragon and stranger. Korathan Mirthgazer l Elf l Warrior Korathan was a few miles away from the city Kirtan, near a tree. The black haired elf always found it relaxing in the woods, even if it was as dangerous as some people would whisper. Climbing upon the large and ancient oak tree, the male settled upon one of the thickest branch. Settling his backpack infront of him, he pulled out a wooden flute that he had carved himself. One of Korathan's hobbies was to practice upon his flute, Bringing the instrument close to his face, he began to play it softly. He hoped to himself that nobody would catch him, as he was sure of himself that he was not good enough for people to hear him and actually like his music. Radia-Female Human-Rider Radia shook her head. "It can't be..." She said, as if willing it not to be true. "I'm... I'm no elf or wizard or warrior!" She stared at the sto- egg, trembling and warming. No, it was slowing now. "Wh-what do I do?" She stuttered, more talking to herself than the other woman. She kneeled both knees on the ground and crawled toward the egg. She looked at the chipped part and saw something moving. She refrained from jolting back, only letting a slight flinch. Radia got out a knife that she had hidden. Radia-Female Human-Rider Radia jumped back when a head could be seen. It was scaley and wet. The egg held liquids-- the more you know, right?-- and a small body. Radia scrambled to her feet, gripping her dagger in her right hand. A dragon... chose me? Radia wondered. Her eyes still wide. B-but dragons are just old wives tales! Meant to keep little kids away from things that they were supposed to stay away from! Radia peered slightly closer, her still-wet hair falling around the side of her face. She opened her mouth. ((Hatchlings can 'communicate' with their riders, but it gets complicated. They can share feelings, such as hunger, and images as they get a bit older. Around when they start actually speaking is when you start thinking about names.)) While she was headed for the city she knew should be nearby, she soon grew distracted. What caught her attention was music. Someone was playing a flute, and whoever it was wasn't an expert, but they were decent. She followed the sound, moving silently, and soon came upon a male elf, sitting in a tree and playing a flute. For a few seconds, she stood in silence, wondering if he would notice her, and then cleared her throat. All of the fur on her shoulders and neck was standing on end and her shoulder blades were raised. If she had a tail, it would have been puffed up. "Hello," she said, her voice musical and light as any elf's would be, even after years of disuse. It would be useless to attempt to fight, as she'd have to protect the hatchling, as well as herself. The wooden instrument fell down to the ground after hitting some branches on the way down. The elf looked extremely embarrassed and his face turned as red as a tomato. Then, he turned his gaze towards Kade nervously. "Hi!" He responded, his brows raising as he looked at her. Clearly, he hadn't expected anybody to find him. 0 players like this post! Like? |

She knew how to play, as instruments had been a part of her training. Meditation, playing instruments, fighting. Looking back on in, that was all she knew. "You're not very good," she pointed out. "But I think I know what you were playing. It sounded similar, at least." She lifted the flute to her mouth and played a few bars, flawlessly. "Was that it?" She was on-edge after finding the dragon, which was wrapped around her shoulders, so Kade was tense and ready to run at the slightest provocation. 0 players like this post! Like? |
