Lexa watched as he walked over to them and crossed his arms over his chest. "Who's this." He asked motioning to James. Lexa rolled her eyes and turned walking to the stall across the ally way with hay and a bucket with a spout. She grabbed some hay and opened Echo's stall putting it in the feeder, "A competitor Trevor." She said walking back to the stall and grabbed the bucket filling it with water before closing echo's stall who seemed upset and angry in the presence of her brother. "You where suppose to meet me 10 minutes ago at the arena to help me set up." He said and Lexa turned looking at him, "Sorry, I lost track of time." She said looking down to her watch, "Well lets go a few more things need to be done." he said walking past James, "Watch yourself." He said lowly and walked on, Lexa walked past James and mouthed a sorry to him before she walked after Trevor.

Trigger moved his gaze to Echo who seemed on edge as the man arrived. He too a drink of water before walking over to the stall wall closest to Echo, "He seems like a happy ray of sunshine." He snorted and pinned his ears as he past James and gave a warning stomp of his hove. He looked to Echo, "Is he always that rough on her?" He asked with a tilt of his head.

Trigger snorted to James in agreement as he nudged him right before he smiled and walk off. He turned his attention back to Echo and flicked his tail, "You don't hear that much anymore, most girls won't go near a bucking bull." He snorted and lowered his head looking around the stall for a moment before looking back to Echo.

Lexa went with her brother and help set up the last parts of the supplies some contestants would need later. It didn't take her very long because before she knew it the first event started, roping. She looked around at the people in the stands and caught glimpse of James and what appeared to be his family, she smiled. She didn't realize that it was so close to time and she hurried back to the stalls to go get Echo.

Lexa hurried to the front of the stall and rolled it open, seeing Echo greet her happily. I grabbed her rope with a smile and walked her out of the stall before turning and grabbing her bridle and turned around. She reached her hands up and unhooked the halter slipping it off before offering Echo the bit one the bridle.

Trigger lifted his head hearing the soft clicking of boots on the ground. He looked and noticed it was Lexa and gave her a snort with a bob of his head and watched as she took Echo out. "Best of luck to you." He snickered to Echo from behind the stall door.

Lexa walked next to her horse with her head held high as she assessed the competition as they made there way to the out door arena. When they got there she noticed Echo acting weird and trying to get someone's attention. She raised her gaze and caught sight of James who yelled a good luck to her. She laughed with a shake of her head as she tightened the girth around Echo before grabbing the saddle horn and raised herself tossing her leg over. Lexa gave a wave and a smile as she adjusted her self and let her gaze move to the crowd where he was sitting with his family. She blushed slightly and watched as his brother looked down at him with an evil smirk sure to give him some crap about a girl. Lexa nudged Echo so she would make her way to the other contestants, she was glad she was one of the last or maybe the last to go. She watched as the event started.

It wasn't long before it was Lexa's turn and to her surprise she was last. She didn't mind it she actually preferred it but normally was one of the first to go. The time to beat was a little tricky for first but she only had to be in the top 5 to get into the next rounds which those times where easy to work with.

Lexa looked around for a brief moment and waited for the calf to be released when the time was start. She took her lasso in her hand and urged Echo forward as the calf was released. She tossed the lasso towards the calf and once it was around its neck she pulled back and did a running dismounted on Echo. Lexa ran towards the calf and flipped it over and pulled the rope from her pocket and tied the three legs together before raising her hands for them to stop the timer.

Lexa stood up from the soft dirt and moved her gaze to the timer seeing her place third. She moved her gaze over to Echo and smiled as she nickered to her. He walked over to her and gave her a nice pat on the neck and then brushed the dirt off her self and then mounted Echo and gave a wave to the crowd before they made there way towards the open gate leading out of the arena. She was greeted by a man with a paper giving her the ticket to compete tomorrow in the next round. She nodded with a smile as he walked away and then Lexa looked around.

Lexa looked around and watched and gave nods as people congratulated her and gave Echo a pet before they were back on their way. I herd a familiar voice and turned my head seeing James. I looked down at him with a smile, "Thanks. We made it around tomorrow they only take top 3 for finals the day after." She said and dismounted leaning right in front of James. "Do you know what the next event is?" She asked looking at him with a slight tilt of her head.
