Starting off with the basics:

~mutations can occur from any lioness, of any fertility, although the lower the fertilities have a slightly higher chance

~Breeding any mutated lioness' without items will give you the same mutation chance as breeding a non mutated lioness (The exception to this rule are Leopons and Overgrown fur, these are the only two 'Passable' mutations)

~Unless it is Piebald or Primal, breeding to a mutated male to get a mutation is pointless, it does not pass, end of story sorry

~Each cub in a litter rolls their chance for mutation separately, just because one is mutated doesn't mean the others had increased chances also

Mutation Items (from lowest success rate to highest):

~Cotton Root Bark This increases your chances to higher than a 1% fertility lioness, but also increases the chance of a lethal mutation (if anyone has average success rate % let me know :) )

~ Lion Meat This item gives much higher chances of breeding a mutation than a 1% lioness would, but not as high as a GMO cow would give (once again if anyone has average success rate % let me know :) )

~Lion Scrotum This item works only on mutated lioness (excluding Leopon and Overgrown fur, since as mentioned earlier these can pass naturally) It gives a 25% pass rate per cub in the litter

~GMO Cow This gives your lioness cubs a high chance of being mutated, it's estimated at approx 50% but no confirmed percentage

~Mutie on demand: Overgrown Fur/ Piebald/ Primal Since they're technically a mutation item XD and has a 100% success rate!

Now it gets complicated: Stacked Items

I'm going to explain this by saying there are three different 'Slots' used when breeding, One and Three taking items, and Two being the natural mutation chance

~Cotton Root Bark can be used alongside any other mutation items, lets say this takes up Slot One

~The lioness natural chances of throwing a mutation takes up Slot Two

~And last but not least Lion meat, GMO Cows, and Lion Scrotes take up Slot 3, this means only one can be used per breeding, and those three items do not work with each other

~Each of these items chances roll separately and in that order,
e.g. With a Dwarf lioness using a CRB and Lion Scrotum
Cub 1: Cotton Root bark activates, cub has Folded Ears
Cub 2: CRB fail, natural mutation chance activated, cub has Adult mutation
Cub 3: CRB fail, Natural mutation fail, Lion Scrotum activates, cub is a dwarf
Cub 4: CRB fail, Natural mutation fail, Lion Scrote fail, cub is non-mutated

Extra note for those using Primal studs while breeding Leopons~ the Primal mutation will roll first and then the Leopon, so while it's incredibly unlikely that the primal mute would overwrite a leo cub it's still possible

the piebald app can be applied to both lion or lioness :)
I believe it's only the primal app that's male only (and the overgrown fur app as female only)

Question. So I have this blind gal (my favorite mutation ever!) and I'd love to see if she can make blind babies is my best bet to get a lion scrotum to use on her?

yeah, the only chance to get her to pass on the mute is with a lion scrotum

This is a pretty old thread (and lioden dates mess me up so I dunno the last reply tbh), but you could add Pennyroyal on! Fed to male primals to increase primal chance in the next litter. Not exactly useful if you're studding a lioness but with a Primal king it could be useful.

so if I have an overgrown lioness is their anyway of increasing her chance to pass on that specific mutation?

Overgrown fur has a small chance of passing naturally, and (as far as I'm aware) the Lion scrote doesn't work on it, so the only way to increase the chance is to get more cubs/ use items like the Grain of Paradise or Buffalo Scrotums

really though for that mute I'd suggest just breeding normally and hoping rather than using up expensive breeding items

I just asked staff about the leopon chances, and this was the reply i got. so CRB actually rolls later not first.

Leopons roll first, so the cubs would have a chance at being a leopon before the GMO would trigger. If the leopon roll fails, the GMO has a chance of triggering later on down the the line.

The mutation rolling order is as follows:
Leopon, Piebald, GMO/Lion Meat, CRB, Fertility, Primal

Oh cool so if I use breeding items I'm okay to use my own king as a stud? He's primal and I was always worried using my breeding items and then using him in case his primal mute passed first instead of the item mutation. .

Yeah! It makes me really happy that pon chances roll first xD i was so worried about using a GMO cow on her or using my primal as the stud ;3;

Yay! Thank you so much for finding that out and posting here! I love my king and I'd love a lethal mute similar so at least I know now it's safe to use him!

yep! and you're welcome! I thought others would appreciate the information! The only thing that sucks about breeding pons tho, is you can't tell if your pregnant lioness has a pon bab until its born, so im too scared to use a CRB on her x'D like what if she had one and i killed it?! no thanks ;3; I actually have a suggestion for that very thing! a secondary " ultra sound " use the first one to tell how many cubs there are, then after that, you can pay a higher price to be able to tell if any have visible mutations from birth. I'm going to post that suggestion soon i think!

Well that would definitely get my vote! I don't breed pons personally but it'd still be a handy feature to have!

yeah cause any mutation visible from birth can be seen by the bat's ultra sound. I think that would be great to have. tho i dont think a lot of people would like the idea, so perhaps making it a bit more pricey so you have to work for the ability instead of just having it handed to you.
