Name: Poppet - An adorable name of british/middle english descent meaning a sweet, lovable, and endearing person or child.
Personality: Poppet is cute as a button and as sweet as a cherry pie. She possesses an unquenchable curiosity and an imagination that knows no bounds. Exploring, learning, and even taking risks often takes up most of little Poppet's days, and asking questions is never out of the question, which can sometimes lead to accidental pestering. These childish tendencies, while adorable and innocent, can often get the otteraptor into loads of trouble. She loves meeting new people and trying new things, however Poppet often has trouble understanding that not all people are as eager to jump into the deep end like she is. Happiness is the key to living a full life, and Poppet's only wish is to make the most of her short time in this world and spread her joy to the masses before being thrown into the next great adventure, whatever it may be.

#1 - Wanderlust
Places, places, there's so many places.
Just where should I begin?
There's river runs, and cityscapes
Ooo, markets are always fun!

From border to border, and sea to sea
I'll search far in between
No mountain's too high, and no valley too low
Or river too wide for me!

It's not for the glory, or exercise
(Well, maybe just a little)
Nor for the treasure, or trinkets to find
But the journey on which I'll go.

There's something about adventuring, and traipsing about
The people, the cultures, the questions that arise,
"A flying squirrel? Oh, wow!"
And, of course, the beauty of nature, without a single doubt.

There's magnificence simply everywhere,
if you just take a moment to look.
This wanderlust, it calls to me
and I'll feed it till my season's end.

#2 - The Little Explorer
Light. It was fuzzy at first, but welcomed me with a warm hug- it's soft tendrils carefully enveloping my furry body in it's comfort. Shapeless and indistinguishable, but omnipresent and loving all the same. Tiny paws reached out into the bright void as I moved to hug it back, urging it to come closer and keep me company. It did, for awhile, but eventually faded, and darkness came to greet me, instead. This new presence was alright- slightly colder, but it wasn't unkind. It lulled me to sleep with it's comforting stillness, until light came out to play, once more.

Big eyes stubbornly blinked and blinked until more things came into focus. A big, strikingly blue expanse hovered overhead, and soft puffs of all different shapes and sizes cruised along through it. Light was up there, too, but when I looked it left brown spots everywhere, making it hard to see other things. I wiggled and writhed until turning over, and was met with a face full of green stuff. It was short and spikey, and when nommed- puh! It didn't taste good. Wanting to get up and see even more, I pushed my small paws into the bad-tasting green stuff, and struggled until managing a standing position. Stubby legs wobbled but nothing would stop me, so I staggered forward until tripping over my own chubby paws. It seemed the challenge to discover things would be great, but I was set on completing my goal, so with no time to waste I planted my paws and pushed with herculean strength. Up I went, and from there on nothing could stop me from fulfilling my quest!

There were all sorts of things of all different colors, shapes, and sizes, and through trial an error I was able to learn about them. There were others like me, too, from big to small and young to old, and watching them could teach you lots. They had words for things that were real, and others that just meant other words. Learning how to use them gave infinite access to the knowledge of other creatures, if you asked, and once I learned how to do this the world became a little bit louder, to say the least. Time went by and I became bigger and older. Some creatures stop learning and exploring once they can get by, but I crave to know and see more. I’ve seen and experienced so many new things since then. The way a sunrise paints the sky with splashes of orange and pink, the sweet damp smell which lingers after a rain storm passes through, and mile-long canyons carved from wind and rushing waters. There’s a lot of grand sights that are sure to leave an impression, but the little, seemingly insignificant things, such as light, are what really amaze me. After all, without light, how would we see all the other wonders of the world?

Other The entry is finished! I was also confused if we were supposed to give them a gender or not, so I just went ahead and made her a girl.
