97 years have passed since a nuclear war devastated all life on Earth, leaving very few survivors. Those who did survive often perished from the effects of the radiation which was one of the longer lasting reminders of the fatal conflict. Luckily not all human life was lost, for years before the nuclear blast ten of the world's most powerful countries put into orbit ten national space stations, all of which were carrying a controlled amount of human beings. Their motive was in response to the growing tensions among various nation-states, all of which were seeking total economic and territorial domination. Such greed from mankind is what led to the catastrophic event, one which the ten allied countries had assumed would occur. With the fate of human life in their hands, all ten stations eventually merged into one large station; The Ark.

The year is now 2104 and three generations have since survived in space. However, the future of the human race is now under threat, for with each passing day oxygen levels begin to decrease while the population increases. In an attempt to gain some time the decision is made to send one hundred juvenile criminals to Earth to know if it is survivable. It will be the first time in over ninety years that humans have returned home, and the state and secrets of the ground are completely unknown. Mankind is taking the next step into the future.
They are being sent down.

Lea Demetra | 16 | Tracker ~~~ Dropsite

(I reallt have no idea what to jump in at and no one has responded to me so I'm going to just leave this super short terrible reply here and hope that anyone knows what i should do)

Lea had hung back until the commotion of the injured boy drew any lingering attention, and slipped from the dropship. As she stepped into the open, she had to let her eyes adjust to the blindingly yellow light coming from the sun. God it was bright down here. Very different from the dim lit cells, or even the well lit hallways of the Ark. Much brighter than anything Lea had ever seen.

After gathering herself, Lea leaned against a tree and focused on taking in everything around her, placing herself nearby the dropship but appearing all the more like a silent guard, or hidden shadow. Overhearing a hesitant voice from beside the deopship, she frowned, regarding the girl with an ear but focusing on the fresh air. At the mention of food, she narrowed her eyes //Of course we need food. Plants and animals to eat. We didnt receive any food from the Ark to last everybody even half a meal. At the mention of needing volunteers, she side stepped to the side of the tree, looking straight at the girl on the rock, and raising one hand in a confident way. She didn't speak, but she knew she could find something. After hearing about leaving the Ark, she had requested some "survival guides" from old days and long gone dreams and memories of the concept of "the wilderness". She had seen tracks of animals she could only name from such books' pictures, specific edible plants and even more plants that could simply be used for different things - such as fire fodder, shelter building, etc. She knew she could find something to eat. With or without others, she could - she would - find something. She didn't care for conpany, in fact she preferred to be alone, but she could stomach it for this unknown land. As long as they didnt get too close.

((yES MY LIL SISTER YOU GO *VERY MANLY SQUEALS*))

Ethan Fauhs • Male • 14 • 100 Tracker
Location: Dropship • Mentions: Talia, Athena

With the shadow of a smile, Ethan kept one eye on Talia as he listened to the boss-girl's announcement. Something about her made him feel safe, almost like how his mother made him feel, until she found his boredom-induced plans and went off to the authorities to tell on him. It was "for his own good", as she had told him. But he had already lost all trust in his family back on the Ark. So, even if it was only one-sided and in his own little universe, Talia would become his new 'mom'. At least until he decided everyone here was decent and could be trusted, which would probably never happen.

With each word the girl atop the rock before them spoke, Ethan nodded in agreement. At least some of the kids here had some sense. He didn't want to be stuck on a foreign planet with 99 nut jobs and lunatics. Well, 98 if you counted Talia as someone sane.

When he assumed she was finished, Ethan raised his hand as if they were in a classroom, signaling that he wanted to speak. "We should form ranks, or something like it," he suggested, looking pointedly around at those who had gathered. "We need leaders, people we can trust to address the problems and organize us in a proper fashion. And hunters, trackers, gatherers, whatever you want to call them. Someone to provide food, if there even is anything here we can eat. And plenty more. People to give medical attention to those in need, guards or warriors of some kind to, well, guard us..." He paused briefly, hoping these older kids would trust someone younger to make such suggestions. "We need order." He glanced at the older girl standing above them for some form of conformation. "Right?"

Ares Violet • Male • 21 • 100 Guard
Location: Dropship • Mentions: Lance, Athena, Kato & Tori

When he was given not even a word of thanks, Ares gave the scrawny teen before him an indignant grunt, glancing back toward his sister and the growing group around her. He smiled, a swell of pride rising in his chest. He had been worried that during the time she was locked away, Athena would end up broken and dead on the inside when he finally broke her out, but now he felt stupid for even thinking such a thing. This was his little sister he was talking about, independent and strong and stubborn, forced to grow up the second she was old enough to walk so she and their mom wouldn't be floated. Obviously being incarcerated would only make her stronger.

Shaking himself free of those nostalgic thoughts, he turned back to look at the ungrateful kid he had helped, looking over the object he had pulled out. A radio, from the look of it. He'd seen plenty of them during his time on the Ark. "Got a signal?" he asked, kneeling down in front of the boy and listening rather impatiently to the low buzz it made with each change of the frequency. He didn't stay long enough to hear the jumbled voices of people, too bored to stay still for that long and deciding that he wasn't useful there anyway.

Instead, he wandered over to a pair of kids surrounding another boy, who looked dead. Or unconscious, there was no telling when his face was caked with blood. Rather than focusing on the cringe-worthy teen with obvious head trauma, he turned to look over the pair trying to treat him. One, the girl, looked wild and violent. He liked her already. And the other, he was weird; white hair and pale skin. He wouldn't be surprised if he just shriveled up and burned to ashes the second he stepped out into the sun.

"So, lost cause or is he actually gonna make it out alive?" he asked, leaning a bit to look over what all was going on. To his surprise, the bloody bandages were being removed instead of wrapped around the wound, but apparently there wasn't much wrong with it, judging from the intense and concentrated look on the pale kid's face. "I'm not an expert or anything, but I'm pretty sure you're doing that in the wrong order."

Asta • Male • 12 • Grounder Medic
Location: Camp • Mentions: Norah, Benjamin

As he was led away from the group that had gathered in the clearing, Asta gave a small wave toward those be was walking away from, flashing a smile as he looked up at his mentor. He had always wondered why she was so cautious around their Commander - he was very nice when you got to know him, almost like he imagined a father would be - but he didn't question it. To each his own, he liked to say.

He was shaken from his thoughts when Norah spoke, looking up at her with wide, surprised eyes as though he had been shocked by her sudden question. It took him a moment to answer, nodding quickly and fishing through his pockets for the long, purple-budded stalks he had collected. "Here!" he said proudly, holding them out in one palm. They were a bit crushed from being stuffed in his makeshift pockets for so long, but he was happy with himself. He'd caught more than usual, with the sort-of-help of his furry little friend.

He would have showed Norah the useless leaves Liten had discovered too, had he not heard the quiet footsteps and familiar voice of his single, proper friend. He perked up, swiveling around on his heels and grinning like a toddler on Christmas. "Ben!" he exclaimed, forgetting that he was supposed to be giving his mentor the requested herbs as he rushed over toward the barely-older boy. He slowed when he noticed the grim expression on Benjamin's face, frowning as well in a mixture of concern and curiosity. "Did you see them, too? We could only see them fall from the sky... But Emmeli said she saw them running around or something. Are they really people? Do they look like us?"

He certainly had a lot of questions for someone who had only just arrived back in camp, but his spark of excitement had fueled the small amount of confidence he had in his pool of social anxiety, and as a result the questions that had been on his mind for ages were now flooding out with no apparent end.

Yoru | 18 | Dropsite | Mentions: Kato, Lance, Ares, Tori

As Yoru watched the other teenagers mill around, something caught her attention. There was a boy on the ground- he was bloody, but there were two people next to him- a girl and a boy with rather unusual white hair. Upon closer inspection, the injured boy's face was covered in blood, but she could definitely tell he was breathing. The white-haired boy was removing bandages from the other one. The bandages were clean, albeit bloody, and she was momentarily confused until she realized the he was probably checking the wound. Yoru stepped up behind them as another, older boy came over, saying something about doing it in the wrong order. She studied them both- the boy with the white hair seemed to know his way around medical tools, while the other one seemed more fit to be a guard. Yoru didn't say anything, but merely waited for a response form the white-haired boy.
