Disappointment clouds his eyes for a single moment, but he seems to bounce back from it almost instantly. He wouldn't let something like that keep him down! After all, he did have a clan to take care of. " I would love to join." He replies. He would have commented on her apologizing over something so silly, but he didn't feel as if it was his place. He didn't really want to embarrass her anymore as it is.

Padding past greypool, he pads after the she-cat. Watching her take her place at the river he lifted his head to sky and tasted the air. Fish might be a respectable food choice for the riverclan cats, but that doesn't mean they don't eat other small creatures such as mice or an occasional rabbit if they were lucky. Finding nothing he takes a seat farther up the river bank attempting to cast his shadow away from the water as to not scare off any of the fish.

She stared down at the fish and angles her paw holding as still as possible. She looked down and flashed her paw as quick as she could. A fish hooked on to he claw as she threw it on the shore slicing open it's side to stop the pain.

Rainshade's attention is momentarily diverted by the kill. Dipping his head in a silent prayer for the creature he soon returns to his own hunt. Watching the shadows below the surface of the water carefully. Taking his opportunity and lashes out at the fish. His claws graze the side of it, injuring the small creature. However, this fish managed to squirm out of his grasp and escape. Though it most likely wouldn't survive long and he could go fetch the dead creature after the hunt if the river didn't wash the corpse to far away. " Mouse-dung.." he curses under his breath at the loss of his near catch.

A small smile plays on his lips as he gazes down at the fish, " Don't be silly! Thats your catch and i wouldn't dream of taking it away from you. After all, we both came out here to hunt. I'm sure i'll manage to catch something eventually." he comments gently nudging it back. He didn't want to take credit for the she-cats earned catch. However sweet as the gesture may be.
