Spotted Hyena is listed in Shrubland, as I said in the thread rules: "Some of the NPCs appear in more than one zone - they will be listed in the first zone they appear.", and according to Lioden wiki at the time when I made this thread the first zone they appear in is Shrubland :3

my experience from battling mountain gorillas is charge>grab>kick
doesn't always work but it works more the higher stats you have. it also depends whether or not the gorilla gets two hits at the start and if he misses alot or not

The extremely scarred lion (there are two - eye scarred lion and all over body scarred lion) was damaged a lot by strangling. Kicks and pounds weren't very effective on him, all getting 11 or under damage, but strangling always ranged from 16-20 damage. (I did this because I used the scarred lion technique but it didn't seem to work, so I assumed that you must not have the second type of scarred lion.)

Charge/Trample/Pounce (he was stronger than me so I didn't get to see which one to use) -> Grab -> Strangle overall.
