Drue

Drue was snapped out of her trance-like state of watching Heath tear at the now-bare patch of dirt with his large claws by the sounds of screaming and growling. She turned to see two of her enclosure-mates ganging up on another one. She didn't know what had happened, but the cat that was being attacked was definitely pretty scratched up. Drue knew she couldn't just stand by and watch as they killed the poor thing, even if the three cats were a bit bigger than her.

The yellow and black cat ran over in between the attackers and victim, snarling menacingly, "What's going on over here?" She yelled, her large canines glistening from the wetness of her mouth. She let out a threatening growl and the hair on her back was standing on end, her tail flicking with impatience as she stared down the two other leopards.

{Heath}

Heath got to his feet, the noise of some sort of commotion quickly filling his ears. He followed Drue, who had left his side in pursuit of the noise. Heath stood behind Drue, cold eyes pinning Belle before tackling her to the floor.
"This isn't your fight, killing another will do nothing for you other than get you killed. After all, the humans don't take kindly to animals that don't get along, they'll have you put down before you know it. Especially because of your unstable personality, I doubt they'll give you a second chance. I wish to return to the wild, but that doesn't mean I'll kill the innocent for it." Heath stated blankly, putting a lot of weight on her, and if he wanted he could quite possibly crush her. He was larger than the leopard, so he had no problem holding her there.
His eyes turned to Rajeer.
"And you, you have no honour. Flirting with that leopardess and then trying to maul her for her beliefs. Truly disappointing." He spoke, his words hit hard like a bullet between the eyes. You either let them soak in, or were too
stupid to understand them.
Heath then stepped away from Belle, and took up a defensive stance near Kara.

Belle snarled defiantly at Heath, attempting to scratch his blue pelt. She weakened, and stopped struggling, "It doesn't matter what the humans do, they know I'm dangerous and unstable but put my back in here after I killed my only family." She spat at Heath, ears pinned back in a ferocious growl. "Lets see how they react when you kill me." She hissed, before completely collapsing and barely breathing.

{Heath}

"I'm not killing anyone, merely separating a fight. I did not put enough weight on you to crush a fly, let alone a windpipe. So stop acting like your dying, because you surely are not. Even if you were, you are deserving of it, considering you attacked with intent to kill. To add to the fact that 'I have killed you', the humans will not harm me in the slightest, only transfer me to solitary, since I am the only maltese tiger held in captivity at this moment. You should have known what you were in for when you attacked." Heath replied, emotionless, to the leopardess once more, someone would come to her aid soon but it wasn't going to be him. He yawned, making eye contact with the felines that had gathered.

Arnold's eyes widened at the commotion inside the enclosure as people started gathering the watch the fight. He hustled off to report to someone of authority.

Rajeer stood up, blood dripping out the corner of his mouth. He stood next to Belle. "You! You're even worse than that weak excuse for an animal!" he snarled at Heath. He leaned over to whisper to Belle. "If he even so much as flinches, attack him with all you've got,"

Kolasis backed up into the corner of the enclosure, overwhelmed by the scene before him. His eyes were wide with terror, and he whimpered weakly.

Belle remained motionless, watching the scene around her. Containing a grin, she watched the old keeper run to find someone to contain Heath. When Rajeer approached her, she didn't flinch or even blink, only continue to play dead.

"Of course I am. I don't understand why your suddenly so mad, perhaps you've gotten a case of rabies? Or are you upset that I defended another of your kind? I see the problem, your allowed to attack a leopardess, but when I do it for the sake of saving another's life, I'm the bad guy? Shame, we could've made such good friends, we share the same belief of the wild after all. Pity your anger revealed itself all too soon." Heath replied, keeping a cool demeanour. He was also larger than Rajeer, being one of the biggest, if not the biggest wild cat in the world. Heath still kept his wits around Rajeer though, an unexpected attack could give Rajeer an advantage, but not out in the open like this. He kept his eyes focused on them both, he was more than willing to attack if need be. It didn't matter to Heath if he himself died, better than moping in a cage.

Kolasis shivered in the background, emitting another whimper.

Rajeer laughed. "Oh, I'm not mad at you for that! You're a traitor! Just like Kara. You defend her, which obviously means that you share the same beliefs!" he cackled, almost falling over. "TRAITOR!"

"Call me whatever you believe, I don't mind. You are below me in my mind, so I do not care about your opinion. Calling me 'traitor' does nothing but show me that you are no older than a cub, throwing petty insults to make someone feel insecure, the perfect opportunity to attack. I'd just like you to know that it doesn't mean anything to me." Heath shrugged. He couldn't care less about what this leopard had to say, he isn't the one to decide who believes in what. Good for Rajeer and Belle, they are clearly insane, and meant for each other.

Rajeer laughed, thumping his paws on the ground hysterically. "Traitor!" he rolled over, giggling. "Traitor? Ha!" he began to choke, but recovered quickly and continued to cackle.

Heath let out a chuckle of his own, one that started from his chest and slowly climbed up to rumble in his throat.
"Your attempts to infuriate me aren't working, Rajeer. I suggest you try another tactic. By the way, really need to work on that laugh of yours, it makes it hard to take you seriously." Heath stated once more, rolling his eyes. Rajeer honestly was like a cub. Although, a quite cunning one at that.

(Okay, so, I have this problem where when I roleplay and my character gets in a fight and I'm letting the other person's character win the fight, I start to get angry at the person instead of the character, and to prevent that I try to exchange jokes and things like that with the other person to lighten the mood and help me so that my anger management issues don't get the best of me.
SO...
I found this adorable red doggie sweater with a reindeer on it at the store today, and I bought it for my dog because it was on sale. My dog hates me now XD

Rajeer rolled around, slapping the ground. He got to his feet, dusted himself off, and trotted away as if nothing had happened.

Kolasis sighed, hoping that now Rajeer had left, the commotion would end.

Heath let out a sigh of relief. He didn't want to make a scene, nor did he want to have to hurt anyone. He left Kara's side, since the main threat was over, although he was still in a distance that he could fight off anyone, or if she was in trouble. Heath used to have such a peaceful life, what the heck happened?

Drue

Drue watched with bated breath as Heath spoke with the other cats. She was on edge, ready to jump to his aide if they attempted to attack him. She snarled again at Rajeer as he walked off, not believing that he would just leave peacefully.

Once he was far enough away, she turned her attention to Belle, ready to do anything she had to do. Why was it okay for them to bully Kara just for not wanting to be in the wild? Drue had grown up in zoos as well and it was just about the only thing she remembered.

Arnold came hustling back to the enclosure. His eyes sought out Rajeer, and he entered the enclosure. Grabbing the delirious snow leopard, he dragged it out of the cage (So professional) and out of sight.

Kolasis began to grow uneasy once more as Arnold left with Rajeer. What was going to happen to him? Were they going to...silence him?
