There's a guy who's been playing a single game of Civ II for 10 years and it's utter fucking disaster. Currently I believe he's in the latter half of 3000 AD and embroiled in a 1700 year war that's been dubbed the eternal war. Only he (playing the Celts), the Americans, and the Vikings remain, and the Vikings make it utterly impossible to reach peace. They keep breaching peace contracts, usually with surprise nuclear attacks, and give the other two nations no time to breathe and rebuild. 90% of the earth is destroyed, covered in swamps and nuclear fallout, making it incredibly difficult to provide food for his nation. Couple that with the fact that he has to keep building up his army and he can't focus on food at all, and you have much of his population dead from nuclear war and the rest starving to death. Dude's been playing for a decade. And he's not gonna stop any time soon. He hopes to eliminate the Vikings in the next couple years so that he and the Americans can actually end the war and begin rebuilding the planet. That's quite a fuckin' game right there. 0 players like this post! Like? |
