Hello everyone! I have been playing in Hard Mode as a personal challenge since I joined Lioden, and have decided to create this clan to share this style of play with you and challenge you to challenge yourself! Lets see what everyone can do in Hard Mode!

Allow me to introduce my current king, Saskhi Ka! He is the result of dedicated Hard Mode breeding and I am very proud to be able to say that he is the very first Hexapan king on Lioden!



My ongoing breeding goal is to create a line of lions who resemble cheetahs. For role-play/story purposes, they are cheetah/lion hybrids who have cheetah blood in their lineage through the use of magic. I have been working on this breeding goal since long before the Hybrid mutations were introduced to Lioden, so obviously these are not mutants and are not Lioden official "Hybrids" but are part cheetah only in name and for story purposes.

An extension of that breeding goal is to create a king who has ALL Panther marks in the game. My goal is for the Panther marks to enhance his cheetah- like appearance and not to detract from it so the order of the marks is important.

Saskhi Ka was the very first lion to have 6 Panther marks. My future goals are to eventually add the elusive Auburn Panther (technically has been released but no lion in the game has this mark yet as the applicator is incredibly hard to obtain), and the new Red Panther mark.

A secondary breeding goal of mine is to create a small menagerie of lions who look like different types of large cats (I may possibly expand this to other animals as well). I am currently working on a Tigress style lion and a Black Panther style lion.

After trying for more than a year, I finally kinged a HM compatible Kimanjano male with Fulvous Royal mane, Sunglow eyes and Peach skin! Due to the new project and need for room, I chased away the previous pride members - with the exception of Wenet.

@Berenos those are some gorgeous naturals! I love cream bases, and while my king is Bone based, which is a gold, most of my other favorite natural bases are in the cream category so I'm slowly drifting that way lol. I'm slightly considering changing my king to Buff the next time he retires but I haven't decided yet...

Why not go ahead and king that heir for looks? Sounds like it would work nicely. :)

I love the creams the most, too! More so the Light/Medium shades. And I'd like to use him as my next king, but I haven't done it before, so I'm a bit unsure. I know I'd have to king the "looks" heir first, but then what? I retire him immediately, but conserve his looks? Do I have to have a "stat replacer" at hand, or would it "reroll" with his looks? I fear I'll do something wrong and get stuck with a male my girls can't breed with until I can retire him again xD

The Katavi Pride

The Katavi Pride is my ‘starting from scratch’ project, involving custom lionesses and a blank-heritage male. Mad Hyena (#29080) was kind enough to give me a heritage-less young male to train up to take over for Haidar so my king would be closer in age to my rising girls. I’m planning to work on stats and Golden Countershaded, hopefully with some special bases thrown in.

I’m still working on the clan lore, but so far, I think they live in the Katavi National Park in Tanzania. They claim to be descended from the Cape Lions that one lived farther south, hidden away in the Rift Valleys and avoiding humans. It may only be a story told by the tribe’s shaman, but they do possess the large size, thick dark mane and spotted coats that were common in Cape Lions. The lore starts with the first generation moving into their new territory in Katavi National Park to avoid poachers during the Great Hunger (January Event).

Chuma, the young king of the Katavi pride. Patient and wise beyond his years, he is devoted to protecting his pride’s new lands, but more than willing to stay on good terms with his neighbors.

He’s a fully customized male with a Sunshine Base. It’s a solid, but I’m hoping he’ll have a special countershaded heir eventually.

Jaha, the queen of the pride. Graceful and strong-willed, she maintains order in the pride and settles any disputes. During times of trouble, she is the voice of reason most often and advises Chuma frequently.

Shauku, the lead hunter of the pride. Although she looks fierce, Kisa is friendly and easy-going. The largest lioness of the pride, she is unquestioningly loyal to Jaha and the queen’s enforcer when necessary. However, most of the time, she is a dedicated and intelligent hunter who works hard to keep the pride fed.

Kisa, one of the pride’s hunters. Good-humored and a bit mischievous, she is always eager to hunt, explore, or amuse the rest of the pride. Their best storyteller, it’s not uncommon for her to entertain the rest of the pride with a story in the evenings.

Ushari, one of the loveliest of the pride and the most vain. She’s a skilled and ambitious hunter with a strong desire to replace Jaha as queen. Hot-tempered and impatient, she’s not as suited for the rank as she feels she is, which causes some strife in the pride now and then.

Tiifu, the shaman and healer of the tribe. Gentle and calm, she hails from a long line of shamans that have served the pride for generations. Said to be able to understand dreams and the whispering of the spirits, Tiifu is also highly skilled with herbs and tends the pride’s wounds.

Others Who Joined The Pride

Reirei is a daughter of Uzal. Welcomed into the pride, she found her place as the Katavi Pride’s trinket seller. Clever, cautious, and full of charm, she has a knack for bartering with the monkeys and other prides.

Asiya is another daughter of Uzal and half-sister to Reirei. Small and a little nervous, she is not a particularly skilled hunter. However, her sweet nature and endless patience makes her exceptional with cubs. The cubs of the Katavi Pride are under her care and tutelage until they are old enough to start hunting.

Nzuri is another beauty that joined the pride. Chuma was fascinated by her golden eyes and brilliantly colored coat. Unfortunately, she was found after being attacked by hyena, resulting in her right leg and hip not working properly. She was unable to hunt larger prey, but her grace allowed her to excel at smaller animals. With her patient nature, she has become the pride's cub-trainer, teaching the adolescents the finer points of hunting as they grow.

Msasi is a young lioness with a striking golden coat that caught Chuma's eye. While somewhat distant in nature, she is lovely and quickly becoming skilled in hunting. Clever and enjoying solitude, she is quickly becoming the pride's finest scout.

Hey, everyone. Also blowing a little life into this thread. I don't really have an exact goal set up but I do breed for feline markings mostly. I'm also attempting to breed for Blue, Green and Red eyes. I also have been trying to Include white eyes as evidence of my next king.

Another thing I want to show off is my next king. He is a ten marking, son of Skinner. He is an ebony with white eyes that I have just fallen in love with. An awesome thing is he carries the ice undershine and a golden coat that was given to his father with applicators. I'm not a huge fan of his tufted mane so I'm thinking if I can get a mane change app I will go ahead and change it out.

Some of the more fun things I have to share is my mutation project i'm doing. I am planning on attempting to breed all of the current mutations ingame. Including fatal ones. I have bred two, Thats Temptation my Folded Ears and Juilet my Achromia. I'm hoping that they will produce me some good mutations in the future. Although I will have to save of for my freezing spots if I do get any leathals.

@miso your lions are gorgeous! It will be super cool to get every mutation too! You'll probably want to mass CRB as that tends to give the best chances for the lowest cost.
I just recently started mutie breeding myself a few weeks ago. :D I already got my favorite lethal (so lucky!!) Conjoined. I should post them here...

One of the recent news posts said they might consider adding more frozen slots. I really hope they do because I already have plans to use all 5 and more lol. And you'll need more than 5 to freeze one of every lethal....! Especially since they are planning to add more lethals in the future.

The Vishnu Tribe
Welcome. The Vishnu Tribe hails from south India. They migrated here after worries of poaching became too much for the current king Skinner. He lead himself his single son and a few of his ladies to the African savanna. They had to learn the ways of the land. The tribe has an affinity for Feline markings, and more exotic looks, including colorful lions and even some of the darker girls most prides would turn away. We accept them with open arms. They named themselves after a Hindu god whom they felt looked over them well living in India. Although now in Africa the shamans of the tribe still practice giving offerings to Vishnu.

Idhika is a relatively new member of the pride, she was picked up by the pride for her lovely coat and piercing red eyes. For the current leader, this is the look he goes for. Although she is a non-believer in the tribe heritage she does understand she needs to respect the members who do still practice the old ways. She took her place as a trainer of adolescent lions and elder cubs. Although also she keeps the Tribes trophies.

Madhur is a young lion born from Skinner and Mandeep. She has the feline markings the clan fights to keep in their lines. She is a very calm and collected lion, who is in training to be the tribes next shaman. She has a strong spiritual connection with the other world and often can be found meditating and offering flowers or food to the deities. She also protects the Tribes only human cub. They are unsure what came about this cub, but Madhur has sworn to protect him with her life.

Ekanthika is another newish female welcomed into the tribe. She is possibly one of the most aggressive liones in the group. Often times having to be put back into check by one of the other girls. She has no problem protecting her tribe by any means necessary. Although this causes her some trouble. Often times she will get into fights with the other lionesses and it needs to be broken up by Skinner or one of his sons.

Ferha an older female whom joined the pride along with the other group of girls. She has dedicated her time to producing healthy cubs. She loves her pride and has taken a keen liking to one of skinners sons hoping she will be around to produce cubs with him. She has also formed a bond with Madhur, and the two work together to keep the spirits pleased.

Mandeep is the prides main hunter. She leads hunts and teaches the adolescents of the pride how to fend for themselves. She is kind and patient but is willing to give a little tough love if need be. She expects respect and gives respect back to those who treat her well.
