After reading the suggested flavor texts, I couldn't help but imagining a lioness running away from a good male that drones on and on about the Cycle of Life and the delicate balance of the food chain. You have my support

Love this idea, and the suggestions of adding specific personalities! I hate the current message. But perhaps we can personalize it a little more by adding a line at the end for a personalized lioness response? It could be based on general personality (good/kind/neutral/snarky/evil) instead of distinct personalities, to make things simpler- and it doesn't really matter what their specific personality is, because we don't know unless we claim them- in which case these leaving messages wouldn't be used anyways (although perhaps the claiming message could be altered as well?)

So- if you have a kind or good personality and you let a lioness down gently, a good or kind lioness would seem forgiving and understanding, and probably wish you well; a neutral lioness could seem not to care too much either way- not happy, but not terribly upset, like she has a 'there are other fish in the sea' mentality about it; and an evil or snarky lioness could leave with a huff, or make a harsh comment about not liking you anyways before stalking off.
Similarly, your suggestion for a snarky or evil lion making rude jokes/comments about her would be met differently- good or kind lionesses could appear hurt, fleeing from the harsh words before you finish, or perhaps even crying (in the situation similar to the one you have for evil, where the lion is being really mean). A neutral lioness could look somewhat shocked, perhaps, but walk away calmly, masking whatever emotions she may be feeling and deciding it's better to just ignore this behavior. An evil or snarky lioness wouldn't stand for that- firing back similarly nasty comments about you, or just lunging at you for a fight (at which point it could say something like "you dodge her hit and run away, laughing about how a lioness would dare try to fight YOU of all lions." or (evil?) "enraged by your words, the lioness lunges for your throat, but you fight back. Clearly unprepared for your strength and ferocity, she soon changes her mind and flees, and you walk away victorious.")
Neutral lions would, of course, seem calmer about the ordeal- perhaps simply stating that he doesn't think they'll work together, perhaps coming up with an excuse that she's really very nice, but he simply doesn't have room in his pride for her, or your amazing awkward suggestion. Good lionesses could seem a little disappointed, but accepting of this- even if she sees through his behavior. Neutral lionesses would seem casually accepting, perhaps even sightly revealed- a former encounter with being turned down by a harsh lion, perhaps?- and would leave in peace. An evil or snarky lioness probably wouldn't take too kindly to this, perhaps rolling her eyes and aiming a swipe at the lion's face before stalking off, muttering about how she could do better anyways- or, in the event of the awkward lion slipping away (and perhaps an evil lioness?), call harsh names after him when he doesn't come back?

It might take a little work to set it up so a lioness of each personality type has a response for each lion's personality, but I don't think it would be too difficult, and it would probably make the players happy- I love little details like this, and I'd love to see these come up when I turn away a lioness. Maybe we could even flip it and have similar messages for when we fail to impress a lioness and she turns us away? That would be interesting too!

I would imagine the evil text being for heartless lions. but what if vicious lions perhaps threaten the lioness upon leaving? I would imagine attacking them, but that kinda sounds like slap, so I dunno. Of course this is only if there's a different text for every personality for males. I'm too lazy to write flavor text so I'm just leaving ideas for now rip.
