I have to admit that I am a bit disappointed that Angelic 1 is winning the poll (at least the other 2 try to mix the bright blue and yellow) but on the other hand, if saturated and unnatural blue with orange and yellow in a gradient is breed able, then surely green will have to be breed able in the future, right? At least the green we have is consistent.

And as for the issue with the black genetic group trio winning the poll, I have to say that there are probably 2 main problems with how that poll was made.

1: There were no previews of the possible bases.
Whilst I understand that it would have been tricky to make 12 bases to preview, the fact that previews of the possible Xmas bases were absent meant that the userbase could only judge what the bases could look like from the names of the bases (which isn't much) and from what the bases already in their genetic chart look like. So, from what we know from the genetic groups at current:
Cream - Mostly plain bases, nothing that would get people generally excited over a new possible base unless they see it first.
Gold - Whilst golden genetics has been gradually improving, it still holds the stigma of having some of the most obnoxious yellows, and the prevalence of golden NCLs does make the whole group feel less exciting. Moreover, the most unique bases in the group are a hybrid base (so extremely hard to get), Xanthic (the new eye burner base) and Green (and whilst people do want more green bases, the fact that the one we have is a 'joke base' and cannot breed suggests that the gold Xmas bases being green would be unlikely). Overall, unlikely to produce bases which people like.
Red - Much more variation in colours, with browns, reds, pinks, purples and oranges. The bases thus far have been vivid and pretty, so precedence is good.
Black - This group is a colour inversion on the red group with lots of variation in the cooler colours such as blacks, greys, whites, browns, blues and purples. The bases thus far have been varied and are less eye catching than the red bases whilst not being plain like the cream bases (the lighter blue bases are exceptions but they make good variety), so precedence is good. Personally, I believe slightly more people prefer the black group's variety for bases, hence why they would assume that the Xmas black bases would be more likely to be better bases than if they were cream for example.

This is why people chose black/red over the other bases in my opinion, as they are more likely to look interesting due to precedence (black being slightly more popular and so getting the victory). And since there were no previews of the bases, precedence was really the only thing we could judge them on.


2. There were only 4 possible combinations to choose from.

I understand that it may be satisfying to have a solid trio all from one group, but that makes it even more in the favour of the red/black groups, as whilst the red/black bases usually have more variation (or use more popular colours), gold and cream, whilst some people may like 1 of those groups' possible Xmas bases (more likely if previews were available, but we can also suppose that people were thinking this without them) they may not like the others. Maybe try a multiple choice poll with a certain number of choices instead of a strict 1 choice poll. Whilst I do concede that red and black would still probably win (because a lot of users find their bases more appealing) it would, however, allow for a gold or cream base which people find very appealing a chance to shine rather than being held back by another 2 bases from the same group which people do not want. 

I hope this explains my perspective on the poll and its reults. I would probably also suggest making more polls on choices for possible cream and gold bases throughout the year to see what people find more appealing from those base groups, as honestly, both of those groups need some exciting stuff in them (bumble bee base anyone...? ).

I love Angelic 1!
But I feel like teh blue on it should extend a tad more on the neck? And extend a tad more lower on the body?

Opinion time!

I, personally, feel like the colors in the first option are much too vibrant. I think that the base will be too difficult to work with. I much prefer the shades in the other two options. However, I DO like the swishy, stripey pattern in the first option! It's gorgeous and makes the base look much more interesting and different from everything else we have!

Mix the stripey pattern with the vibrancy of the second or third option and that'd look really good imo!

I chose the third option because the colors are light and faded. They're easier for markings to blend in and they look a tad more 'angelic' to me. c:
