So one day I got a creative bug and wanted to draw a lion and not just any lion, a primal lion! And not just any primal, a new variation! I came up with the following, which can also be seen on my blog Jax-hammer. Primal: PopulusBlurb from blog: "A very rough sketch of an idea for a new Primal Variation I thought up: Populus Populus is a heavier set Primal with all of it’s mane characteristics located on it’s throat, chest, abdomen and belly. It’s anatomy is not dissimilar to that of a bear, with it’s longer arms and short but powerful legs (and of course, it’s stubby tail). Populus, if implemented, would only be able to be bred from Smilus Kings. It would pass itself and no other kind of Primal (except maybe normal primal), but it would pass at a lower rate than even Felis or Smilus. Like the Smilus, there are no female Populi. The reasoning is that with this implementation there would be more merit to kinging a Smilus besides “it looks cool”. Now there’s something unique that a Smilus King and only a Smilus King could give his player. A Felis-only variation is coming soon, as well as a Smilus/Felis mix!" Primal: Xeno and FatalisBlurb from blog: "So here we have Primal Fatalis (top) and Primal Xeno (bottom). Fatalis was based on Smilodon Fatalis and Xeno was based on Xenosmilus. Fatalis has a similar deal to Primal Populus – It’s a Primal variation that can only be passed from Male Felis Primals. It passes itself and normal Primal– nothing else – and it’s own pass rate is lower than felis or smilus is. It is a gracile beast with little mane and more ruff. I figured it’d make since for the Felis to create something more feline-like– the Fatalis. Xeno is the rarest of all Primal variations and is the product of a Male Smilus and a Female Felis or a Male Felis and a Normal Primal Female. It is not a sabre-tooth cat but a Scimitar Cat, a genus of extinct panthera with impressively wicked choppers. As you can see, it has a primary canine and a second, short canine before it as detailed in the skull of the beast. Primal Xenos can pass normal Primals with non-primal lions, however it can only pass more Xenos when breeding with another primal. Xenos can be male and female, with Xeno females being the only Female Primals who can pass their mutation. The pass rate for a Xeno is lower than Fatalis and Populus. Xeno’s, like Leopons, come in First Generation and Second Generation. Second Generation Xenos are easier to breed and first generation Xenos come with their own unique coat: Machair." Base: Machair (mocked up by the wonderful Natanocte) So what say you all? Would you like to see these variations in the game? |

Supported! Xeno(morph) would really give all these female primals a use - plus a breeding challenge. 0 players like this post! Like? |

I support! If Piebalds and Patches can have a lot of variations, why can't the Primals? 0 players like this post! Like? |

Xeno has my full support! Female (non-Ferus) Primals really need a niche, so I think it would be a fitting addition to the game. 0 players like this post! Like? |
