Yeah, cause males have a better chance with lower stats and females have a bit better chance with somewhat higher stats, cause think bout it, if we claim males all year long, they would be killed everyday or just sent off/losing their pride while females don't get chased as much as males if people don't have enough male slots!

The females that people claim also for many tend to be things to kill for karma, or release for karma as well aren't they? Unless they are a chased lioness or someone wants to mass breed, they tend to be useless

While I can understand people not wanting mutations to be able to be claimed, there are other Explore encounters that could work.

A third option could be added to "Invite him to join your pride" perhaps? And it could give a 50/50 shot for him to accept the offer?

That's partly true, but look at the fact of players have 1 sub male slot and have lets say 4 males, three get either killed,chased or sent off, and while females, their useful for hunting,breeding and sometimes karma, it's just, players would rather not kill females in order to try getting cubs to sell/giveaway to others, AND males are useful for patrolling, sparring, and replacing the current kings when they die, either way males need to be claimable due to the fact lots of players don't get male cubs but like every 1 in 100 times? hell i can't even get male cubs, I have to trade for them! That's not fair cause I could've used somethings for my pride!!!!!

It was originally about the maneless male and people were mentioning not wanting mutations to be claimed, so I was just making suggestions for other encounters that could work.

What if it was just like with females? If you don't have the space you cannot claim them, i'm not fully certain if they give the option or not to claim when you lack space for females, but it could be the same for the males just a little notification saying sorry you don't have the space for them to join your pride.

You can take a gamble on male cubs and adols at the giving tree if your willing to risk things.
