Introduction

Hey guys! I'm Dax, one of the admins for F.o.L.

I've been part of the clan pretty much since the very beginning, whenever Nox created the clan and asked me to be an admin a few years ago.

I am unfortunately not as active on LD as I used to, and have been on many short and long hiatuses over the years since I've been on Lioden. However, I'm trying my best to get back into it right now, both for the sake of the clan and in hopes that it will be a source of happiness for me like it used to.

I've been a furry since I was about 10, but I haven't been active in the fandom until the past 4-5 years. Dax 1.0 was created in 2010, Dax 2.0 was created in 2013, and Dax 3.0 was created in 2017. I've been a fursuit maker for the past 2-3 years, though I dabbled with it when I was younger. I've been a digital artist since around 2010, but I haven't been actively drawing on a regular basis and taking commissions until the past 2-3 years.

I currently have a head, tail, and armsleeves of Dax, and will be finishing up the rest of his fullsuit in the next few months. I live in Texas, USA. I will be at Anthrocon 2018, if anyone wants to say hello! I go to meets in North Texas occasionally, but am hoping to go to more soon. I make fursuits, but am unfortunately not open currently!

I'm a trans guy, and have been socially transitioned for a little over 4 years. I've been on Testosterone for almost 3 years, and am about a month post-op Top Surgery. My orientation is a complicated thing, I haven't found a label that I can fully relate to and be comfortable using entirely, but Pan-/Poly- are close enough to keep it short and to the point. I'm also polyamorous. I'm not currently in a solid relationship, but I'm very close with my previously-partner/currently best friend who is just going through a lot right now.

I currently work as a server at an Italian restaurant, but will be working at a veterinary clinic in the near future. I'm moving into a dorm in August and will be going to college to get my Associate's as a Veterinary Technician, and will then continue my education in Biology. My ultimate plans are to build and run my Local and Exotic Wildlife Rehabilitation Center 10-15 years down the road, but that isn't something that I would be getting income from (I'd actually be spending money on it), hence the career as a Vet Tech and eventually something Biology related for income.

I have ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder), so I apologize in advance for the issues that may occur on my end with communication. I've been through a lot of stuff in my life, but am in a relatively good place right now (especially compared to my past), and so I highly encourage anyone who needs some help/advice on anything mental health related (or even LGBTQ+, biology, etc.) to come to me! I will always do whatever I can to help people, whether it be resources, my input based on my personal experiences, or even just lending an ear when someone needs to vent.

About My Characters

I have my fursona, Dax, as well as my sub-sona, Duke. I have 3 other active OCs (Eidolon, Abyss, Aspen), and 2 inactive OCs which I'm in the process of selling. And then of course I have my business mascot, Bourbon, who is in the process of getting a redesign which I will post once finished.

Dax currently has a finished head (headbase by me, furring-work by OakleysCons on Instagram), tail (by FabFurStudios on Furry Amino), and arm sleeves (by BlueRaccoon23 on Instagram). I was originally making his handpaws and lower half digi-legs w/ feetpaws last year for TFF 2017, but I had a lot of stuff come up and didn't end up doing so. Yes, it's now been over a year since then, and no, they aren't done. I pretty much scrapped the plans for that and will likely not fur the foamwork anytime soon, if at all. However, I will be making a whole new bodysuit, handpaws, and feetpaws with the help of a friend of mine which I plan on debuting at AC 2018.

Dax's Head

Duke currently only has handpaws (by Freakhound Studios), but I plan on commissioning his head/feetpaws and making his tail sometime this year. Likely not prior to AC 2018, unfortunately.

None of my other characters have suit parts, and I don't have any plans for them other than the possibility of having a head of Aspen made by the same maker who will be making Duke's, and me making his tail. The 2 OCs that I'm in the process of selling both have suit parts and originally had suit plans, but those won't be happening now that I'm selling the characters.

My Work

I do digital art, and at the moment use mostly an older iPad, though I'm working on transitioning to my UGEE 1910B drawing tablet. I take commissions, and am currently open for headshots!

I also make fursuits, but unfortunately am not currently open for commissions. I am always open for quotes, but it doesn't look like I will be available to take on any commissions anytime soon due to work, my personal suit, and college starting in august. I mostly do foamwork (headbases specifically), but I have made finished feetpaws, handpaws, and tails.

Hello everybody! Please call me "Raven"

I don't know how long I've been a furry. I was always reluctant to be associated with furry because of all the negative things I heard about it. It wasn't until I went to my first furry con last year that I truly embraced the title.

I've loved animal movies and books for as long as I can remember. The first books I could read were "Arthur" and "Clifford" books. I grew up around the Lion King, Lady and the Tramp, and Fox and the Hound. My adolescent years were full of me obsessing over Warrior cats. Today, I am still the same person in love with talking animals, feral or anthro.

I am always on the lookout for recommendations for books, movies, and comics featuring animals. Like I said, I've loved Warriors, but I've also loved "The Sight", "Ratha's Creature", "Blacksad", "Lackadaisy", "Zootopia", "Guardians of Ga'Hoole", "Plague Dogs"...the list goes on.

I also am very active on another sim website, but since it's against the rules to talk about other sites I won't say what it is. All I'll say is that it's a Villa full of Fur...I consider that site to be more furry friendly than Lioden, so I'm more active there when it comes to this fandom.
