New Explore Encounters
Inspired by this month's event, a new poacher-based encounter will be added - available year-round in all explore zones! When you interact with a bird cage left by poachers, there's a high chance that one of many unique bird decors (with 1 use) will drop for you!

We will be updating this encounter every few art updates with new amazing bird species to collect... sort of like those Pokemon things, ha ha.

Here's a list of current bird species that can be found in this encounter:

Just a note, the scops owls make a wonderful combination when equipped! How cute!

ANOTHER Explore Encounter?
Why, yes - and it's also available year-round in all explore zones! A second fun explore encounter added this week is a Maghreb Magpie with a hoarding tendency. Maybe you can steal one of its shiny quartz rocks? Collect 30 of the same colour in order to craft them into new recolours of Silver Ornaments!

But Wait! There's MORE!

Gorilla Enclave has been updated with 7 new decors with an Andalusian theme. As promised, the Enclave shop items will expand towards the whole world with unique decors, because our gorillas came from a zoo and want to share diversity with our lions. We start by venturing right off the coast of Africa into Spanish Andalusia. We consider it a nice, slow transition. :D The following decors will now appear in the Gorilla Enclave:
* Mediterranean Monk Seal Cub
* Iberian Lynx
* Iberian Wolf
* Iberian Eagle-Owl
* Mouflon
* Andalusian Horse
* Hills of Andalusia

There will definitely be more sets to come, as we slowly expand into the world! We cannot promise that these decors will stay forever in the Gorilla Enclave, but they will surely be there for a long while!

But WAIT! There's MOOOORE!
Monkey Business has been updated with new backgrounds:
* Ghana Wetlands
* Nabiyotum Crater
* Makgadikgadi Pans
* Blue Mountains
* Great Karas Mountains

And the Whack-A-Snake game will drop two new decors as prizes:

* Copper-Stem Corkwood Tree
* Fez Aloe

New Custom Base!

Korat is a new custom base. Its genetics are Black Dark Countershaded Special!

New Combo Base!
Remember when you all voted on a poll and "specific combos" won? Well, let's give it a try!
Olive will be the first combo base of this kind, meaning it can be obtained by breeding two specific bases - Caramel and Xanthic, as per user suggestion from here. Olive is a Cream Dark Countershaded Special base. Obviously, it can also pass itself when bred to any of the factor bases, or another Olive base.

NOTE: A ton of bases from our Game Development forums have been picked for combo bases that will appear throughout the year! Some creators have been contacted about them for lineless versions, or to adjust some information. We really appreciate all of the amazing suggestions, but there are only so many bases we can add in a year!! We'll be announcing them in each future news post as they're released - sometimes with full information on how they're obtained, and sometimes not. We like when the community plays detectives in the Scrying Stone! :D

Chatoyant has been revealed in the Lion Wardrobe! It is March's special event base - a Golden Dark Solid Special, based on a user suggestion from here. We felt like Solids needed more fun specials.

Chatoyant markings also have been added to the Lion Wardrobe!

NOTE FOR TODAY'S BASES AND MARKINGS: All lion stages and lethal cubs are updated. Unique Primal adult stages have been updated as well. The rest of the current muties should be updated this weekend - the mutation status page will be updated Saturday and Sunday accordingly.
