Aldrid almost jumped out of his nest, as he heard his father's voice carrying through the cave. His mother and sister where already ready to go out of the nursery and Turtle was not even there any more, the little liger cub quickly jumped out of his nest. Al quickly squeezed passed his mother and sister, making it just in time to arrive behind his brother.
Aldrid laughed as he head his brother proudly tell their father that his stripes where coming in, "You are always slower then Cloud and I am", Aldid teased. Both Aldrid and Cloud had, stripes for a long time. The little liger had been born with stripes and Cloud had grown into her stripes, after already one moon.
Aldrid looked up at his father, or at least where he suspected his father was. The cub was smiling, he had to hold himself back from calling his father SunStar. Aldrid bounced around on the spot, what was his father going to announce. The cubs focus shifted, as he noticed that more and more cats were gathering. This was exiting, the cubs had never been a part or seen a pride gathering. The biggest gathering that the cubs had witnessed, was when Sun was so ill that Light had gathered some pride members, to discuss what would happen if the king did not get better.

Sun sat there, watching his pride mates gather in the large cave. A smile crossed his lips, he was happy to see that SunPride was so big now. Not just did they have many cubs, but also adult cats. Sun looked down, when he heard a small high pitched voice call out to him. Sun chuckled at Sunlights words, "I see, hopefully Nik was not too mad that a cub younger than him won", Sun said jokingly. He faulted for a moment, when his son mentioned this MoonPride cub, now at least he understood why there was a MoonPride cat in the SunPride camp. "I am happy you had such a great day", Sun said, smiling.
By the time the young liger had made it to the part where he told his father his stripes had come in, the king had jumped down the rock and was standing next to his son. "You already look like an adult", the father praised, to be honest he could barely see the stripes, but he would never say that. Hearing Aldrid's words. the father scoffed the little liger over the ear, "Now, don't be mean, Aldrid", the king kindly ordered his son. "Now, It's about time the two of you take your spots", he king said. Leaning down, the king first grabbed Sunlight by the scruff of his neck and placed him on the top of the meeting rock. "Stay away from the edge, I don't want you falling down", Sun told Sunlight. The king then quickly went back down to grab Aldrid and this time, he jumped onto the rock mound and set the blind little liger cub between his paws.
Drawing Sunlight closer to himself, using his tail, the king told his sons, "Do you both notice these cats? This is the pride we work for and look after." Sun explicitly did not say see, because of Aldrid. He knew that his son's might not become kings, but for now they were SunPrides princes. The white lion looked up and waited for his pride to gather and especially, for his mate to join them on the meeting rock with Cloud.

Sun looked over at his mate, Light was sitting next to him and she also did not know what this meeting would be about. The king then looked down at his pride mates, just under the meeting rock there was Jereth. The small deputy was the closest to the rock, he was sitting with his back to the king and head queen, also looking at the pride. Waiting for a few more moments, the white lion watched as the last stranglers made their way  to the meeting. Seeing Moed out of the corner of his eyes, with a little snow leopard cub next to him, the king gave the healer a nod.
"SunPride cats, Moed and I have meet with StarPride. They have declared me as the king of our pride and have gifted me with nine live, so that I might lead this pride for a long time to come. StarPride has also informed our healer and myself of the Pride Code, so that our pride may live the life under the laws that SunPride has decread", Sun delaired. The king then started to recite the Pride Code nice and slowly, so everyone could follow. After he was done, the king looked down at his pride. "With my new nine lives, SunPride has declared that my name, from this moment on ward, will be SunStar. Any king coming after me, will also carry this name", SunStar let the hole pride digest the information for a moment.
"Next, there are several matters to attend to. Firstly: Umbra has returned to us, but sadly lost his apprentice during the cold season. Tonight the pride will hold a vigil to honor the short life of Lekahn. Secondly: Moed has confirmed that Aldrid is blind, I wish for the pride, especially guards, to keep a closer eyes on him so he does not get hurt. Thirdly: While I was away it seems like a MoonPride cub has made its way to our pride, I will meet with several cats in my den to discuss what we should do about it", with the last thing announced, the king looked over at the little snow leopard cub. 

"Now then, Marik please step forward", the king directed. Once the young male bobcat stood in front of the other cats, the king spoke again, "Marik you have expressed interest in following the path of a guard, as you are of apprentice age you will now be assigned a mentor. Your mentor will be Winema. I hope Winema will pass down all she knows on to you", the king paused for a moment, then continued, "Winema, please come forth."
Winema, you are ready to take on an apprentice. You have received excellent training from your own mentor, and you have shown yourself to be brave and strong, despite your short scise. You will be the mentor of Merik, and I expect you to pass on all you know to to this young cat", SunStar nodded his head to the pair, a sign for them to step forward and touch noses.

The king watched happily, as the apprentice and guard greeted each other. Nodding his head to Light he jumped off the large meeting rock, ending the meeting. Turning back, the king turned to his head queen, "Can you take them back on your own, I want to discuss what is to do with the Moonpride cub", SunStar said, nodding towards the small snow leopard cub. Waving his tail towards his deputy, the king walked over towards the MoonPride cub. Moed and his apprentices where with her, the small cub seemed to be sick. A bit lethargic and down, SunStar looked over at the healer and apprentices, "What's wrong with her? I hope it is not contatius", the king said, giving the healer apprentices a look.
Walking passed them, the king entered his den. Sitting down inside, the king thought over on how to get the cub back to MoonPride. As the others followed, SunStar turned to Moed, "I want for you to go to MoonPride, with some guards. I believe StarPride wants our prides to hold a meeting", SunStar said, looking down at the small cub he added, "Take the cub with you, make sure you make Moon understand that we did not steal his cub." The king let his eyes wander away from the cub and to his deputy, "Jereth, I want you to select a few cats to go with Moed. Make sure you send Sukul, he is strong and will be able to protect the party if worse comes to worse", SunStar instructed. Looking passed them, the king let out a sigh, "I want for you to leave as soon as possible, but for now we will morne Lekahn", the white lion started with a heavy heart.
