Okay. So this is a very loose idea that I got from several friends while in a Discord chat.

This would affect those of us who choose to murder our lions (and cubs) rather than send them off. What if, when you chose to kill a lioness/cub, you got a reward for it?

These rewards could be any one of the following things:

Lion's Claw (Common)
Lion's Tooth (common)
Rib Bone (Common)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lion Skull (Uncommon)
Dead Lion Cub (received from killing a cub; Uncommon)
Dead Lioness (received from killing a lioness; Uncommon)
White Lion Pelt (Uncommon)
Any Flesh of x Lion Decor (uncommon)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lion Meat (only from adult lions of either sex; Rare)
Lion Scrotum (only from sub males; Rare)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

All of these prizes are based on a % chance, so you might wind up killing a lioness/cub, and receiving no prize at all.

Example of how it could work:

Killing a lion/lioness/cub has about a 5% chance of giving you a reward.
From there, each prize category is also based on a percent chance:

Common Prizes have an 80% chance of spawning
Uncommon prizes have a 30% chance of spawning
Rare prizes have a 1% chance of spawning

Maybe an algorithm could be added in to measure the size of a members pride, and adjust the % chance based on the size, that way it's fair for everyone, and farming these prizes isn't an issue.

You could get decors or backgrounds from sending lions to the nature reserve, kind of like your lion was admiring the scenery and decided to take it home or something.

Considering there is a way to switch your personality and be able to kill lions with no energy loss I think this is just a way people could farm items. I mean considering all the NCLs they can purchase cheap and claim themselves and then just turn around and kill I don’t really like the idea. Especially with lion meat and lion scrotums being involved. I feel it would ruin the market.

Kind of like how male piebald lions are bred to NCLs just to get the mutation to sell for a quick buck. I feel this could end up the same.

The whole mechanic would be based on a percent chance. While it states that these prizes are "common/uncommon/rare etc.", there is a very good chance that you kill a lion, and not get a reward at all.

Say it's maybe like a 5-10% chance to get a reward in the first place, you'll more likely get one of the common/uncommon decors than the Meat/Scrotum (like say commons have an 80% chance, uncommons a 20-30% chance, and rares a 1-5% chance).

If the idea is implemented kinda like that, I don't see how someone getting 1 scrotum/meat every once in awhile will ruin the market.

Because of users farming the system.
For example leopons only have a 5% pass rate HOWEVER a user with 10 leopons have more of a chance of getting a leopon cub then a user with just one.

The system you are explaining to me seems like a similar concept.
One player has 5 slots and kills 20NCLs a day but let’s say a “wealthier” user who has 200+ slots is able to kill 200x that amount in order to gain items.

This really just doesn’t seem like a fair concept to me I’m sorry.

Idea for sending lions to the reserve: Some sort of decor like in the February event or the Patrolling decors. Yes, there should be rewards for the Reserves as well, but it's hard to come up with those, really, unless the lions "give you a parting gift" which has a low chance of being something really nice, but is typically food or amusement items.

Either way, I support the idea of item drops, though I'd make rare drops even rarer, possibly... Maybe a flat 1%? Those items go for a lot anyway, and this would make it easier to obtain them. Just don't want it being something that the devs hesitate on for one detail.

Maybe if you have a king with a personality that doesn't make him lose energy on killing/reserving a lioness the rewards are invalid? The percent chance of getting an item can be measured by the amount of lions in a person's pride, as well. (Trying to think of ways to get around the farming the system issue :/ )

That's a good idea Entity. I'm sure they could code an algorithm that takes pride size into consideration, and adjust accordingly so it's fair for all.
