I really love this and I felt the same way!! It might be simpler and easier to implement (for the developers) if the baby lions just show their base? So like if your cub ends up with a Sterling base and their sibling is a Cream Lighter, one cub will be shown as black and the other will be shown as cream. Same thing for Gold and Red bases. It would be easier to implement than drawing markings and bases for all the cubs - just 4 different colors for each cub position! I think that that would be reasonable, don't you?

I was about to say something until I saw this!
It's super weird looking at my black base lion and seeing dud cubs curled up against her, and then looking at them and they're the exact opposite of a dud. It's really jarring and sort of ruins the decors I placed, especially if the cubs wouldn't have felt out of place at all if they were just their base group colors. When the lion isn't a cream base it looks like she stole them from another lioness!
As long as the artist has the base assets for all the nursing cub options, changing the colors shouldn't be difficult at all, and maybe the color should be a medium while we're at it, so the cubs still blend with a light or dark shade lioness.
The poses, while they sound like a little more work to put in, still sound cool. It seems like a nice way to keep your lionesses' pose while she's pregnant, as well as keeping that touch of personalization. The concept evil pose is pretty neat, to me it says "eff off, even if I'm knocked up I can tear out your insides in two seconds flat", and damn if that ain't what I want for my evil personality lioness.
TL;DR, great concept, love it, 10/10 I would die for you.

My suggestion for the cub art would be changing the color to the base color group - Red, Golden, Cream, Black (and maybe Grey or White for Black Light cub bases). Having 4-5 colors would be easiest for the artists, and having 12 colors (Light/Medium/Dark variations in each color group) might still be doable. I would also like the cubs to be layered a little bit, rather than having the mother lioness's decor go right through the cub art on her page.

No support. This is asking the art and programming team to do a lot of work for a pose that a lioness is in for 3 days, and the cubs are only there for 5 days. I agree with the layering that Voidmaker stated, but doing different colors for each cub would be a lot of work and coding. Considering how many cubs are born each day, for the site to have to generate a different colored cub for each cub in a litter would cause a lot of stress on the site itself. This isn't something that is easy to do. Even 4-5 colors isn't an easy thing to do. The poses would only be around for 3 days, and would be a lot of extra coding and work that would have to be put into a pose like that. There are quite literally hundreds of marking files on site, and for the team to have to change every one of those marking files to fit new pregnancy poses would be a lot of work. Not to mention having to update the base files, the eye files, and the skin files. It would put unneeded work on the site team, and the coding team. I understand it would be a cute idea to have cubs show their genetic base group, but it would be a lot of work considering how many lionesses give birth every day. At any given time, when a lioness would give birth, the site would have to generate 1-4 new cub art to sit on the pregnant lioness. And that's just for a normal lioness, not even getting into the possible 8 cubs for a DU lioness.


Basically, both the cub art and new poses would be a lot of work for the developers to do art-wise and coding wise. I'd assume that the coding for each cub to show their base color would be a lot of work, and put a lot of strain on the site itself. Xylax and the art team have enough on their plates with the upcoming male poses, and they just released tigons about a week ago today. The tigons had to be updated for every mark, base, skin and eye color in-game. The same would be for these new lioness pregnancy poses. Due to this, I do not support this idea.

I'm suggesting only bases be altered to better represent cubs, I think only doing base colour groups would be easier, but thanks for the feedback anyway :)
