This is my first time ever hosting a Group RP, and co-coordinating one at that, so I'm super glad people are interested and excited, I've always loved the franchise. I hope the rules and whatnot have been reasonable, sometimes I feel I'm over-excessive ^^;

I'm glad that one managed to kick off, I left for a few months too while I finished up school, only I left without notice so when I returned? All my RP partners and anything I was involved in previously had either left, disbanded or fizzled out slowly, so throwing myself into this was a ball-sy move honestly. Glad I did though because this looks and sounds like it'll end up being amazing

Just skimmed over your character sheet and while it's looking great so far, perhaps you should change Zach's age to 18? Just because not only then is he technically correct if he turns to Claire and reminds her she can't tell him what to do, as all movie teenagers do, but given Jurassic World took place two years ago and he's already 16 during, he would now actually be 18.

I hope this doesn't come across as rude or a nit-pick, because that's not the intent, it's more a case of...If he turns up on the island, while she'd probably try, Calire technically can't baby him the same way he would be supervised at 16. It is, overall though, totally up to you! <3

I'm really glad it didn't come across the way I worried it was, and ah shit, I've gone around thinking it was two years after. Gonna have to make some minor adjustments to my own calculations then, have a wonderful rest of the day, though.

While you are correct in saying that it was never specified, they never suggested any other alternative method of cloning the dinosaurs in Jurassic World and Fallen Kingdom. Plus, Dr Henry Wu is still the lead scientist, and since he was also the lead within the original Park, it's incredibly unlikely that they'd develop a modernised method of cloning, y'know?

As the saying goes, 'If it ain't broke, don't fix it'. While I myself am not 110% certain of this, given the Frog DNA has been canon throughout the films, it's more than likely the same still applies here. I feel like if there were new methods, we would have had it explained to us as to better understand. Thank you for bringing this up though, what are your thoughts?

A fair point, but given Dr Wu never realised they were capable of breeding (He left the Island way before Jurassic Park began to melt down due to Nedry) and the rest of the group were forced into a confidentiality agreement, I doubt he was ever informed. Additionally, given how shady the past two films have shown Wu to be, something tells me he wouldn't be at all bothered to begin with even if he did know.

From what I remember of Jurassic World, and correct me if I am wrong, we as audiences only realised the Wu was the man behind the genetics of JW mid-way through. Given Wu has been proven to actually be a bit of a villain in both of the recent films, I don't think he'd've trialled a bunch of new frog species just for World. He knows that the first frogs worked so would have probably used them, as long as InGen gets its dinosaurs, I doubt they asked questions.

In any case, given the lack of evidence to imply they changed it, which means the gender-fluid DNA is still canon, this RP will still allow for dinosaurs to be capable of changing their genders if their environment needs them to. I'm glad you brought this up though, because I've never considered that before! It's certainly an interesting take on things.
