I need help. I was talking to my best friend a couple months ago about her opinion on gay people. She said she disagreed. I’m a very closeted bisexual and I’ve wanted to come out to her for a long time, but I’m worried she’ll be uncomfortable around me or not want to hang out anymore. I also go to a Christian school and from what I can tell it’s a mixed bag of supporters and homophobes. Once I tell her, the whole school will know and I don’t want to be kicked out or have some weird “therapy” to turn me straight. I want her to know the truth, but I also don’t want to lose my best friend. I already know that I will also get bullied for it behind teachers’ backs, so I feel scared.

Gonna be real here, I don't think it's wise for you to come out in that situation. Especially at a Christian school with a good amount of homophobes, or if your parents are Christian/homophobic as well. If you're worried about getting bullied and the negative outweighs the positive, wait.

Thank you for the advice. My parents are very supportive of the LGBT+ community and I think I’ll wait. I started having a crush on a girl and I’m very bad at hiding it, so I think they will find out regardless.
