The Ahuizotl (Ah-wee-zoh-tl) are a creature from Aztec legends. They are a bit larger than the domestic cat, their shoulders in the average adults around 1 to 1/2 feet in height, though some have been seen to be around two feet at the shoulder. They are easily distinguishable from normal cats by size and pattern at a glance. At a closer look, another factor is that their paws are capable of frabbing things much like hands. Not only that, but the tip of their tail ends in a fully functional and large hand. They always look wet, sleek and shiny. Often times they have fur that will clump up on their back, looking like spikes. Others might even have spikes or quills adorning their back.

They live in or around water, making marshes, rivers, and even oceans their home. They don't seem to have issues breathing underwater or on land either. They use this to their advantage, luring and dragging victims down into the water until they drown. They prefer soft flesh and bone, and though they have been known to hunt larger prey, even humans, they rarely eat the whole prey unless in groups. Unlike most felines, these also seem to be capable of eating fruits and some roots and tubers as well. They seem to hate the taste of roots and tubers for the most part, not enjoying bitter tastes. The fruits however are adored by them, and sweet smelling onces seem to be a great way to attract their attention..

Whereas most smaller felines seem to be more solitary, these felines seem very social with one another, often times working in groups to drown large prey. Often smart, strong, or beautiful Ahuizotl will go off to create its own group. Members can challenge its leader, sometimes in battle but other trials have been used as well. The leader can also simply pass the title on to another as well. The leaders of multiple groups of Ahuizotl will often meet with small groups, allow breedings, and have even been known to exchange members.

These can be lion or more horse like, and cover merely the neck, Head and neck, The back, etc.
PIEBALD / PATCHES
Patches of white or black that cover random parts of the body. Passes randomly onto each child.
ALBINO / MELANISM
The lack or abundance of pigment. Albinos glow and Melanism seethes darkness.
GLOW / DARKNESS
They produce a glow or emanate darkness behind them, along with eyes shining or dripping dark.
