Hmm the stuff at the bottom is def corking, taller cacti like that tend to develop it to be more stable. The stuff at the top.... I’m not sure? It seems to be part of the plant not some growth on top, maybe it got sunburned? Did it ever have a drop on top of it and then stand in the sun? I’ve had plants burn like that before

@ronan, I would check the roots but with three cacti in one small pot, I think that the roots might have got tangled together

@McRainbowFace, I only water my plants at sunset/night time to try and avoid sunburn after my mum managed to kill her similar cactus because of sunburn. However, when I'm home over the summer, the cacti are placed on windowsills without privacy panels and all family members have the option of watering the various cacti around the house, so it might be sunburn from last summer.

Thank you both for your help <3

Hey! My succulent was chewed on by my cat. Does anyone know what I should do? Is my plant a goner?

https://ibb.co/qyy2gQ3

Should I break off the chewed up bits, or leave it? What Will the healing process look like?

@Clay

It should be fine! Remember that plants go through this kind of stuff all the time in the wild. :D

Leave the chewed up bits alone for now. They'll scar over and be fine (in my experience). Just make sure the plant isn't within the cat's reach again and it should be fine. :)

Hi!

I hope Im allowed to post even though Im not in the clan! If not I'll join and pretend I posted this at the right time lmao (If it is a clan, I thought it was since it is in Clans and Families).

> I will edit in pictures when I am home, at school currently so I cant photograph them. <

I have a bamboo plant, not sure if there are certain types, but I got maybe a year or so ago along with two others my siblings have. Our bamboo plants all sit on a window ledge together and the pots are usually kept full of our filtered water (drinking tap basically) with little pebbles to hold the plants down. My bamboo lost a stem (3 total in each pot), but it is doing quite well! Larger leaves have sprouted up, and it is tall in those regards. I know theyre slow growers so there is no stalk up that far yet. I tend to drop water on the leaves of my plant like rain to see if it does it any good.

Though lets just skip to the little problems:

1. The other bamboo plants that are mostly treated the same are still short and shriveled? Yellow/pale too, I think. I'm not sure why they aren't growing like mine did. Would normal sink water harm them if some got in the pot?

2. My bamboo's highest leaves are brown at the tips and sort of turning pale? I'm sure it was getting enough water so I dont know whats going on? Perhaps it's just a little sunbleached? I do rotate it everytime I put it back so that the leaves dont stay crushed too long.

Yep! I’m on mobile right now so I can’t help too much, but there are a lot of great guides under User Created Guides as well as free CSS in tree carvings!

I have a question - does anyone know what this plant is? (Also don't worry about my cat - I've had this plant for about a month now, and he's not tried eating it, he's a good boy)

Hey guys,
Got another question about one of my cacti if you dont mind x
So its been Easter break from Uni and like always when there's a break, I go home. I watered my cacti the morning I left, and gave my overly big one a feeder because he has always been to big for his roots. I was home for 3 weeks and my cacti were left at uni, on a window ledge with the blind up for sunlight.
Anyway, got back about 3 days ago and noticed one of my bigger cacti is all wrinkled and stuff (the others are all healthy beans and look like they did when I left) and is now covered in brown spots. Now I didnt think much of it at first but despite giving it some water, the brown spots have only grown and the plant itself has continued to wrinkle up. I've got some pictures of how it looks now below (hopefully they will be of decent quality x)
If anyone has any idea of what's wrong or if I'm just being overprotective of my cacti, let me know xx
Thankies <3

I have had a small jade plant for a few months now! It's been growing decently and has plenty of light. I've been watering it more often since it's spring now and I noticed that it wasn't doing so good before I started watering it more. Recently, though, its leaves have been falling off more frequently. When I first got the plant, there were three stems. One of them wilted so I had to cut it off. I've been doing all I can to help my plant but it seems now it's rather keen on the two stems left being a little droopy. Is there something I'm doing wrong? Is there something I should be looking for? I'm really worried about it! I love my little jade plant
