I was thinking, it would be nice for those of use with little self-control to have a special place in our Hoard (or adjust burying) where we could put SB / GB (or even items maybe) where they can’t be opened until a date you decide upon. This would help with saving GB and stuff without impulse spending your entire savings...

Also, if you don’t support, Please tell me why...

Wouldn't it be a better choice for everyone involved to just learn self-control?

What if for example, you are prone to gifting smaller things, when you could intead try and save up for a better gift... or if you just don’t have self control

I feel like the kicker is that self-control completely removes any need for this, and introducing it brings extra work for the modbox when people invariably want in earlier, as mentioned.

Of course it's not just you. Everyone has struggles in this area, but discipline, experience, and hard work will make you a superior person. Such is life. When you think about it, no amount of patches can really remove the inevitable consequences for our personal weaknesses. In the end, the person responsible for your decisions is always gonna be you.

Self-control is a valuable thing to have. Best to let it be taught to you here and now where there are no meaningful consequences for failure, methinks.

I completely support this idea, and it's NOT a matter of self-control. Some people have had their accounts hacked, with GB and SB stolen. If the 'vault' is secure enough(such that a simple password-changing hacker couldn't access it), it could be used to keep GB and SB more secure. It could also be a nice way to store things and forget about them-- you need some GB and will do anything to get it? Surprise! There's some in your Vault from a year ago that you completely forgot!

It'd be a great feature, worth a lot more than it's made out to be. Perhaps there could even be a 'vault donation' type of a thing, so that people can gift you SB and/or GB without you immediately knowing(say, as a birthday gift, but they'll be on hiatus when it's due, so they have it sent at the correct time via vaulted donation. You get a notification saying "You have received a donation from [user], you can open it on [date]!"?)

Overall, this idea is definitely worth my support. It'd be hard to implement, but no harder than gradual unlocking of story chapters, the way I see it. The date-based unlocking could be used that way, as well.
And maybe it's something you need to pay for, like how you pay for a Showcase? You need perhaps 1-5 gb to even get a vault, perhaps even sized like goodie bags are? Say, a 1gb vault can hold 5gb and 10k sb, and each gb 'donated' to the vault's size increases it by that much?

And I don't think vaulted SB should have an effect on explore, achievements, or any of that. And you cannot set it to open before at least two IRL weeks have passed(or one in-game year?), rollover or not. So while it could be used to get the 10ksb retirement achievement, you'd have to time it just right and roll over daily to make it work.
It can be abused, as can everything, but even so, it's worth it.

That gifting idea would be great! I think it should only be SB and GB so people basically don't just give you trash

Like a time capsule? That's a cool idea. I think it would great for helping save up for heirs- at least for me. I tend to ibf a lot when i have the gb so not being able to access it until I would actually being working on my heir would be great.

I support the locking function until the GB/SB is needed, but it does seem a bit unnecessary, ngl.
I am a VERY BAD impulse buyer [300gb was gone in 2 minutes a few months ago], but I don't actually find it hard to not unbury money/items. You just have to keep telling yourself that you can;t do it, or make a priority and think about that to encourage yourself not to spend it.

Also, I think we should be able to edit a bundle and add more sb/gb to it because it's a pain in the ass having to make several hundreds of bundles just to spend AGES opening them.
