1) "But I'm not nonbinary. Who CARES about this?"
- The nonbinary people do. Some of us, anyway. Representation is very validating for people. Think about how happy you feel when you read about or see a character who is like you, and you just click with them. It makes you feel positive about yourself, less alone. That's a good feeling! We all deserve to feel that way. In addition, titles are a choice. You may opt not to take a title if it doesn't apply to you.
2) "This is just more 'uwu MOGAI uwu' shit. It makes [us] real trans people look bad."
- Correct, it is inclusive toward the genders outside of male and female. Nonbinary individuals are, in fact, real trans people, not cis or confused, and as valid as anyone else. [We shouldn't put one another down like this, fellow members of the trans community. We should stand together for our rights and representation. We're family. Let's build one another up and seek to understand each other.]
3) "'Nonbinary' isn't real. Sex is gender, and there are only two sexes, so there are only two genders."
- False! Sex is your body, chromosomes, gonads, hormones, etc. Gender "refers to the socially constructed characteristics of women and men – such as norms, roles and relationships of and between groups of women and men. It varies from society to society and can be changed." (World Health Organization) Many societies over the course of history have normally included more than the two genders of American and European society. Don't invalidate the existence of other cultures, dude. There are, in fact, not even only two sexes. People may be born with chromosomes other than XX or XY. This is known as intersex. Please see this well-illustrated differentiation between gender and sex!
4) "'If you give a mouse a cookie...' Like, come on, if you give the gays more gay titles, they're going to ask for a million more gay titles for every specific thing!
- Actually, the inclusion of Achillean and Diamoric/an alternative would reduce this. Sapphic covers lesbian and bi/etc females, Achillean covers gay and and bi/etc males, and Diamoric covers the entire remainder of the spectrum! Only three little, gay titles.
5) "But I hate LGBTQ+ people and want them and their shit to not be on this site."
- We feel the same way about you, mate. Block me and stay off of all of my threads. And/or delete your LD account(s)? rftygubhijnkl
6) "This isn't really a priority. The LD team needs to focus on improving/fixing bugs, updating files, adding bases/etc, creating muties, etc."
- I didn't say it was top priority, m'dude! The team may choose to prioritize however they like. In the meantime, all the 210+ of us want is for it to happen sometime! Assess a suggestion by the quality of the suggestion.
7) "I don't like you, Elliott, creator of this suggestion, possibly for reasons unrelated to the suggestion."
- It's immature of you to No Support a suggestion solely out of the bias of the suggestion's creator. And the fact that you're so petty that you're locked onto No Supporting a suggestion that would validate an entire 270+ group of people because of the suggestion's creator is something about yourself that you need to look at.
8) "But it's not "open to interpretation" like the other LGBTQ+ elements of the game!"
- Firstly, the "Sapphic" title immediately proves this false. Secondly, few of the heterosexual elements of the game are "open to interpretation." LGBTQ+ elements shouldn't have to be coded unless the heterosexual ones are also coded, you know?
9) "This isn't necessary."
- See #1 and #6, please! Also, they already have Sapphic, so the playing field should be evened out~

I support, but for future reference, I suggest avoiding phrasing these threads like they're a controversial topic. While they might be, treating something like it's controversial will only invite people to debate it. Instead, try to treat it like it's normal, with no pomp and circumstance, and people are gonna be less likely to shoot you down or get up-in-arms.
