Quick note: I drew inspiration from this
suggestion, but I had a lot of alterations and suggestions, so I thought it would be better to make my own version.

The Story
In Ancient Rome, lions were often brought in to participate in fights, usually in matches against those condemned to death. What if a few lions escaped back to Africa, but passed down the practice of gladiatorial combat to their descendants?


Explaination
I’m proposing a PVP system that will take stats into account. Something like the May fights, but with a little more involvement from the players. It’ll be a way to meet friends/rivals as well as create a purpose for high-stat kings.

It will also be completely optional, as you’ll go into the “Coliseum” and enter the battle yourself. You’ll put up a “challenge,” which will display your name and stats, and another player in your stat sector can accept your challenge. The fight will begin and you’ll have 10 minutes to make a move. If you don’t make your move, you automatically lose.

You will be able to fight 3 times a day, meaning you'll have a maximum of 3 Prestige Points a day.

The Tricky Stuff
The fights are sectored by stat, similar to May. That way you won’t end up fighting some tanky beasts with your 100-200 stat boy.

Each stat (excluding skill) will make a particular move stronger or help in some way.

Strength - Makes Trample/Grab/Pound stronger
Stamina - Makes Charge/Bite/Kick stronger
Speed - Decides who goes first
Agility - Makes Pounce/Swipe/Claw stronger
Smarts - Reduce the chance of grab and stun

Like the PVE battles, if a king has a higher stat than you in the particular move (I.e. if you try to Pounce on a king with better Agility) you will be at a disadvantage, as well as vise versa.

What’s the Point?
Well, just like collecting rare markings and bases, there won’t be much use to those who don’t enjoy the PVP. However, there could be “Prestige” attached to winning each battle.

The Prestige points you earn from winning a battle could go towards a special shop. This shop could contain mostly Gladiator-specific decor or backgrounds, but also things like Human Liver (hint hint: Human Liver could also help in the PVP arena).

How Would This Affect May’s Championships?
Well, not at all. Though it could be added into V’Kai and Vashkartzen’s quests (“You’re not ready for the Arena, bro. Go warm up with some Gladiators!”). It could even replace losing in the Arena, as that gives you a low reward anyways.

In fact, during certain months, you could possibly fight with certain characters to hone your skills for the upcoming battles and get event currency (with a limit of course - probably once a day). These characters would be leveled on how high your stats are (I.e. a boy with 100 stats won’t face the same Vash as someone with 5000 stats).

Bast: “Come and fight with me, [Name]. I’d like to keep my skills sharp.”
Anubis: “I’m not a fighter, [Name], but would you show me how to fight?”
Apedemek: “Ew. I don’t want to fight a mortal servant.”
Apollyon: “Come on! Let me show off in front of Menhit!”
The Harbinger: “Are you prepared for the battles ahead, young lion?” [You can either fight the Harbinger or one of the Horses]
Aiatar [Angel-Aligned]: “It’s fun to train with mortal lions sometimes! It keeps them sharp against demons.”
Aiatar [Demon-Aligned]: “You! I’ve heard about you. Come to seduce more mortals with your wickedness?!”
Erelath: “Hey, stupid brute! Akar thinks I need some time with ‘normal lions’ or whatever. Come fight me.”

There could also be some flirty tiger or leopard in February, a Ferus for March, the Maneaters for August, and a certain jolly albino with a red hat for December.

Ideas for Decor
- Scars, of course
- Claw extensions, maybe from bone/lion teeth
- Jewelry, probably from bone
- Romanesque stuff and animals
- "Beaten" versions of the event enemies you defeat (perhaps only available during that month). Ex. "Beaten Nirah" who's flopped over dramatically with a couple of scratches

Additionally, you could cash in your Prestige for other rewards. The prices are designed to prevent an upending of the market for said items, but they're up for debate!

200075: "I don't think that Buffalo Balls and Lion Balls should be available whole year round. But if prices were higher... Maybe 180PP for Lion Balls and 360PP for Buffalo?"
As a note, 90 PP would be 30 days of 3/3 wins, so 180 PP would be 60 days and 360 would be 120 days.

I know this will take a lot of coding and I’m not expecting it anytime soon, but it would be nice for an eventual feature!
