I'm not sure how common an issue this is, but I often find that I want to purchase something on my side with funds I have on my main account or use an item on my main that I only have on my side account. So I switch accounts, access my bookmarked link to my other den, "send a gift", and verify four (4!!) separate times that yes, I do actually want to send my self something.


I'm here today to propose a simpler way to access things. For accessibility, I've broken down this post into 3 categories: items, currency, and lions, with mockups of the potential changes included with each topic.

ITEMS

Item transfers would be accessed through the hoard, either from the individual stack/item pages, or through the organization tab. A button would be added alongside the other options to initiate an automatic transfer, where the stack(s) or item(s) selected would be automatically moved to your linked account's hoard.

CURRENCY

Currency could be handled in one of 3 ways.

The first potential method for currency would be one single bank shared between the two accounts. This means that every SB or GB you earn/receive/purchase would be accessible at all times by both accounts, and the balance displayed at the top of the screen is the total between accounts, not each account's individual balance.

The second method would be to maintain the individual balances but to add a third, shared bank that was accessible from either account. This way, you could keep certain funds locked into a certain account, but add your disposable "extra" funds to a shared account and have access to it immediately no matter where you were logged in to.


The third method would be through the bundle creation menu. Similar to the item portion of this suggestion, a button would be added next to "Create Bundle" that would transfer the funds directly to your linked account, bypassing the need for four separate verifications. Through this method, both balances would remain permanently separate, but transferring funds is exceptionally simplified.

LIONS

Similar to the item portion, lion transfers would be accessed on the individual level, as well as the cave level.

On the individual level, an added button at the end of the chase/kill/nature reserve option list would immediately transfer the lion to your linked account's den (granted that adequate space was available).

On the cave level, an option added to the "Mass Move and Remove" list would send all selected cave members to the linked account's unsorted den (again, if adequate space is available).

From Novaa (#109407): Id like to make a suggestion for the currency.. So you know how you can easily transfer event currency? What about monkey teeth? I have some monkey teeth on my side Ill never use that is going to waste. If I was able to transfer that itd be sooo much easier.

I like this, and I'd also like to suggest removing many, if not all, notifications generated between linked accounts. Almost all of my notification messages are about items or currency I've sent myself, or my kings studding to each other's prides, and it makes it really difficult to find any messages about transactions with other users if I ever want to refer back to them.

From tips18 *side* (#149760):
I support this as long as you are prevented from transferring to frozen accounts (I believe that currently an account must be rolled over once a week for transfers to be allowed?). If this could be used to bypass that limit then frozen accounts would be even easier to abuse.
