You come to the first door. It is very fluffy and soft! And are those carrots you smell?

You walk over to the second door. It is.. sticky. The wood is engraved in a very weird and oddly familiar shape, yet you can't seem to figure it out. You hear a light skittering sound. Like a bunch of fast, quick legs against a tile. You do not like what you hear at all but morbid curiosity seems to drive you to it.

You pad over to door three. The door is a large block of wood that is decorated with feathers. You hear raspy screeching and hissing sounds. Sounds like a bunch of large creatures are inside.

You open the first door and.. Awe! Its a bunch of little fluffbutts! (Cuddling Rabbits)

You slowly open the second door... and immediately walked into a web! As you try to get the sticky web out of your mane, you realize what the skittering sound was. Spiders. Everywhere. Uh uh. You realize the engravings on the door were spiderwebs, You dash out of their as quick as you can, but you found out a spider latched on your fur! (Darwin's Bark Spider, Ogre-Faced Spider)

You open the 3rd door, and are greeted with screeching vultures! They dash at you, trying to protect their eggs. You managed to snatch one! (Vulture egg)

{I used to love this so I'm going to do one!! :D}

You had just had a fight with your subpage. He didn't like your treatment of one of the fodder cubs you got at trade center for the gorilla enclave. You had snapped at him, and he ran off. He decided to sleep in a separate cave in your territory tonight, and you had a dream...

You are dropped into a den of sorts... the walls all meet at 90° corners, and everything is dark enough that you cannot see... except for three doors.


The first door you pass has been painted and plastered in a familiar pattern... the stripes vaguely remind you of a friend... possibly from January? It's blurry now, and you can't remember exactly...you turn to continue scrutinizing the door, but stop dead in your tracks. You start to hear a loud cackle from behind the door, and it runs off. You lean your ear into the door and are surprised by the rough, furry texture of the striped door... how strange...

You decide that the stripes were simply too hideous, and you shuffle through a narrower part of the strange den. The door is much shorter, and much thinner than the first. It seems to consist of oak trees placed together and coloured. It is much too small for a might king like you to be able to squeeze through, however, you feel as if it were familiar... maybe it reminds you of cub training. Whenever there was an outlier in training, they were sent to a small nook beneath the tree roots to hide before the other cubs bullied them, or before they could scare the others... though, this never stopped either from happening. Ahh, to be a cub again. Young, wild, free, stinky, unskilled, no responsibility, no freedom... yeahh, maybe being king is better...

You quickly reach the third door. It is much larger than the other two, however, it does not seem to be solid. The door is more of an opaque waterfall. A lion nymph appears and approaches. "This is the third door. It is the gamble. I will tell you that this reward is much greater than the other doors. However, it will require two things from you. First, you will have to answer my riddle correctly. Second, you will be sent back to the mortal plane to apologize to your submale. He was well within his rights. It is no fault of his that you bear no morals. If you can do these tasks, your reward will be great. If you fail the riddle, you get an egg. If you fail the apology, you recieve a curse. And, if you fail both, the gods will turn their backs on you and your pride... choose wisely..."

So? Now you are faced with the devastating choice between each door. Striped with fur, wooden and small, or water and large. Choose wisely, it may be the last choice you make. If you want to return to your pride, you better choose soon. Time is wasting, and the clock says "tick, tock". Wait. What's a clock???

Surely all of this "curse" mumbo jumbo wouldn't be accurate! And how difficult could the stipulations really be?

You step back, staring at the water fall inside the door which prevents your entrance. The lion nymph reappears. "The same rules and... conditions apply. Do you accept?"

You think for a moment, terrified by the seemingly overwhelming size of this deity. However, you quickly shake the thought. This would be nothing compared to the events that took place with the other deities. Anubis, Bast, and Seth.

You walk forward, "I am ready". The lion nymph gives a devious smirk. Then, you must solve my riddle.
Until I am measured, I am not known. Yet how you miss me, when I have flown. What am I?

You open the door somehow, even though you don't have opposable thumbs. You peek inside and see..... yourself? But, as a cub??

You see two... unusual cubs hiding underneath the roots of an unfamiliar tree, and your cub self trotting over to them to tease their unique appearances. You crouch down, remembering this moment. Your cub self starts clawing away at the roots, and your present self cringes. A moment later, you hear yourself shreik and cry, running over to the other cubs. You glance back at the roots to find the unusual cubs staring back at you. They recognize you.

You start to back away, remembering the sting of their claws. The first cub rushes out of the room, and hides behind you. The other cub drags a bunch of wood behind them. "We have to recreate the roots at your den.... just in case", they announce. "Who said you were coming with me??", you exclaim. "We did. You bullied us, so the least you could do is allow us to become a part of your pride"...

You just realized.... you actually really like that texture...

You go back to the first door with coarse, striped fur. You faceplant into the door and sink down to the floor. You start hearing a noise... like a light revving of a humans machine- oh, wait! It's just you..... why are you purring? O-kayy...

The door opens, and you fall inside. You hear that cackling again and look up to see Laharu with a new... friend? How strange.

Laharu locks eyes with you. "Catch!! Buddy! Do you have anything to munch on?? Me and my new pal are soooo hungry!" You ponder for a moment.... "I have some food in my hoard back at my territory. Why don't you come with me?" His eyes widen and start to glow... he cackles and howls, racing to the door. His friend is a little more shy.... they grab some gifts and bring it to you, drop it at your feet, and saunter off to join Laharu. Very strange. Oh well...

“The answer is time or a clock.” The large patched lion grits out before he frowns.

Upon being returned to his pride he approaches one of his submales and pulls them off to the side, speaking softly to them. “I am sorry for what I have done. I never meant to upset you.” He murmurs, eyes locked in the ground. Rarely did he repent for anything. It meant a lot that he was doing this.

"Very good" the diety purrs. It's eyes tracing you, deciphering your intentions.

"You will recieve my divine blessing, the energy of a bull, the wisdom of a tortoise, and the karma of the vulture. You shall return to the mortal realm in peace. Goodbye, AceTh".

With that, you wake up in your den, unsure if that was just a dream. Oh look! Goodies....
