"Thank you," Said Apolleon, "your kindness will never be forgotten." He bowed and motioned the cubs towards the Grimm before slowly turning. Giving a long sigh and starting the long walk home.

Vahalunn returned to the cave a month later.. although something was much different to his appearance; something very, very wrong.

The brutish king's eyes were now flaring with an ethereal, icy blue color, whatever colored eyes the lion had before now no longer to be seen, with flames of the same color erupting from his claws, although they emitted no heat, only cold. The dark patches that were around his legs, back and rear now having strange, bat-like membrane in its place, almost like.. wings, and the patches appeared to spread across his whole body like some kind of disease, his hind left leg being completely consumed by this strange darkness. Although, arguably, that was the least disturbing aspect of this ruler's new appearance.
A bizarre, otherworldly aura encompassed the lord, and he appeared to have no emotion that shone through his expression.

The creature that appeared to vaguely resemble Vahalunn stepped forth now, his wings tucked behind him and moving as he walked. Two very young cubs, likely only barely weaned off of their mother, ran after the massive monstrosity of a lion. One looked to have some small similarities to the king, while the other.. barely had any resemblance, although judging by the way they interacted with one-another, one could only assume they were siblings, and that this.. thing.. was somehow their sire.

The king stopped before one of the nearby lionesses, presuming her to be one of the many broodmothers that worked with the cubs, gestured the two cubs forth with a gentle flick of a tail.
"I would not be here right now if it weren't for the lioness who bore these two, or for the broodmothers that have cared for them. Do you - or any of your pridemates - have room to take them in?"
The two cubs played beside the lord and lioness, tussling and tackling each other as they giggled and laughed - unaware of the reason why they were here. And it was clear that this creature didn't intend to tell them as he looked directly at the lioness.

Vahalunn nodded to the broodmother, wordlessly using his paw to push the cubs closer to her before he turned, walking away from the cave without so much as a second thought or glance behind him.

The same creature from many days ago returned walking down the well-worn path, this time with a decently-sized group of cubs in tow. All of them looked as though they had just been weaned, but many looked tired and sullen, others appearing wistful while a small few had a look of both fear and hope in their eyes. Like before, all the cubs that had been brought bore very little resemblance to their king save for some markings that appeared similar to his own.

Vahalunn followed the large trail into the expansive cave with the group of cubs, his icy-colored, ethereal eyes scanning the darkness before he approached a lioness whom he presumed to be a broodmother that wasn't quite so busy as the rest likely were with cubs and adolescents from other prides.

"I have come with more cubs." The lion's expression was unreadable as he seemed to stare blankly at the lioness, apparently not much for words. "Do you have any space for them?" He inquired, his head somewhat tilted to the side. Apparently, this king was not one for simple introductions, either, or the concept of politeness..

(hi! oocly speaking, there's 16 5 month old cubs that i'd like to send over for the shelter if that's okay, but if you all would prefer if i send a considerable amount less at a time i'd be more than fine with doing that as well! thank you for your time in reading this! also apologies on behalf of my king being a jerk-)

Grimm nodded and spoke, looking at the newcomer who was.... not the nicest but then again, Grimm had met more rude lions over the years. She looked at the frankly incredible amount of cubs following the stern king

Vahalunn gave a nod to Grimm, whether it was to acknowledge her words or if it was a sign of gratitude was unclear, however. The lion gave a mere glance to his cubs, seeing them all looking at him expectantly.. to which he gestured over toward the brood-mother. "You are all to stay with her and her pride. They will care for you," he spoke to the younglings, before turning and walking out of the cave. Like before, he appeared to have no visual signs of regret or remorse for leaving his kin to this place- actually, it seemed as though he showed no emotion at all, his tail swaying momentarily in the wind before he vanished behind the corner of the cave.

The journey had been longer than expected and Eithagarwen was looking forward to finishing it. The cubs were wearing out what little patience she had left. They were tired, and she was tired of them.

They had travelled far outside of her prides’ territory. Far enough away that she was certain the cubs would not find the way back.

Eithagarwen enters the cave and waits.
