Starting Out

Look, there is no quick way to getting a ton of SB really quickly. These tips are gonna take work and time, but in the end you will have a lot if you save every SB you make! A lot of these methods aim to cost as little as possible in order to maximize the total amount you earn, but there are some that you gotta spend money to make money

Where to Sell

A lot of these tips are going to involve selling. My best advice is to sell in the trading center as its free and you're more likely to sell quickly! You can of course sell on a branch, but the slots cost money and we're trying to save SB/GB, not spend it!

Another great place to sell items is in the Stockpile forum. Create a shop and update frequently! You can also link all of your trades in a topic to make easy for people to find similar items of yours for sale

Pricing

Check out my Quick and Dirty Pricing Guide for an insight on pricing lions without too much hassle or math

The best way to price is to look at what people are selling the same or similar things for in the Trading Center and on Branches. If you want SB/GB quick, then find the lowest price and go lower. If you want the maximum amount you can get, sweeten the deal with another item, service, etc.

Always price both SB and the equivalent or at least 1GB! Some people will pay with GB if that is all they got and they absolutely need the item or lion you're selling

When purchasing to sell, buy low, and sell high. Typically when you buy it is when prices will be at their lowest because there will be a boom. Wait until prices rise back up when the boom lowers

DON'T PRICE LIONS AT THE AMOUNT YOU SPENT GETTING OR MAKING THE ITEM OR LION

You will most likely not make the sale at all, so price reasonably to similar items or lions in the TC and on Branches

Items

Carcasses
The easiest things to sell are carcasses! There are a lot of people that either don't have time to hunt or forgot for a few days and need food. Hunt your babies for all they are worth and sell 100 uses of food in Trading Center. Make a two to three hunting parties of three lionesses each. Hunt each party to their 10 allotted hunts and keep going.

To save carcasses, don't feed your cubs/adols as they can wait to eat til they age up, as long as they are protected they will not starve and die or run. Wait until your whole pride is up to 60% hunger! Or cycle your lions so you only feed like 10 lions a day, this will help save carcasses to sell and you won't be wasting a Elephant Calf Use on a lion that's only at 20% hunger

Typically I price at 10SB per use, so in the end you'll make an easy 1000SB or 1GB

This way of earning takes the most activity from you, you really gotta be on the ball with sending them out to hunt every 30 minutes! A missed half hour is one less prey item you could've added, which means more time you gotta put in for SB

Even the Meat Chunks you get can be sold, but I recommend just selling those to the Monkey in Monkey Business for a quick buck once I have a good number of them

Craftables
DON'T sell one at a time though, sell in bulk! People that are looking to craft will be more likely to buy a bulk grouping than one at a time. Find out what one is going for, and then times that by however many you have. For a quick buy, price at a discount for selling in bulk!

Decor
Event, Rare, even common decor are valuable. Some people literally collect common decor, so just like with craftables, sell in bulk! With Event or Rare decor, keep in your hoard for a while and frequently check the prices in the TC and Branches. When you see the highest price or a price you need or want, sell it then! Event decor will be more valuable 6 months after the event has ended since not as many people are able to get it. Don't sell it during or right after the event, that is when the prices will generally be at their lowest and you'll lose out on what you could have made

Breeding Items

This method is going to take some currency. Typically event currency or actual SB/GB. The best time to buy breeding items is when they are offered during events. Even buying them with SB/GB will be worth it when the market goes back down. Buy low -- Sell high. These will your best bet at making a pretty profit

Applicators

Like Breeding Items, you'll want to buy these during the event they are offered in. Even the really common drop ones will be worth selling later when the boom is over in the market. Applicators are honestly probably the most valuable because people want to make their lions pretty, so grab as many as you can and let em sit in your hoard for a while

Beetle Battling
The Loser's Documentary (#186827) add on
Battling beetles can be profitable too! Not only can you sell the high stat offspring, you can also sell the items that get dropped when you win a battle.

Lions

Lions get a little complicated, but here's my best tips to getting SB

Mass Breeding Cubs

NCLs are the easiest to just breed and chase off. You can also always breed with your normal pride to. Any cubs you get and don't like, DON'T ABANDON OR KILL THEM! Sell them in the TC for Gorilla Enclave fodder. That gorilla likes super specific cubs sometimes, and you're missing out on a good chunk of change every time you get rid of a 'ugly' cub willy nilly

Price the cub at 100SB or 1GB, title it however you want, most just label them fodder, others will include the stats, base color, and gender. Even if you don't sell the cub by the time it ages out, you can still try and sell it as an adult or just chase it in the end. If you're massbreeding and selling a bunch anyway, it won't hurt too much

NCLs

During the July Event is the best time to sell NCLs because people will be looking to sacrifice lions that they don't care about. Make it even easier on them and rename them as 'Sacrifice' so they don't accidentally sacrifice one of their beloved lions. The guys that do Hard Mode are also usually really interested in NCLs. Like cubs sell for 100SB, or do bulk sells at 30SB each

A lot of people will also purchase Chased NCLs or Posed ones, so just go ahead and claim every NCL you come across for that chance at a posed. They're also good for the Mass Breeding method for above. You don't even gotta waste too much food on them, just feed them enough to keep them from leaving and be done.

Stat/Muties

These are the replacers, the ones you breed specifically for people to replace their kings with. These can make a really good penny, but they take the most time and sometimes even money. Muties are harder and will cost you more than you will ever make, so I don't recommend them as much unless you randomly bred them. The stat replacers I recommend building up from clean lions as many Hard Mode players will buy them for a little more than what they would a dirty one. As mentioned in pricing, price by similar lions that are listed in the Trading Center. For a quick buck, sell at the lowest price to be the lowest in the TC

Special Bases and Markings

These are pretty easy if you've got a king or queen with special bases and markings, but they don't always pass so it will take time. You can always stud out to the same based kings and queens, but that will cost money and there's not a guarantee that the bases will pass or make a combo base. I'm listing this method because it is possible, but I don't recommend as you'll be spending more than you're going to sell the lion for

When to Sell

This is a more tricky question. As mentioned with Breeding Items, Decor, etc you don't typically want to sell during or right after the event they've been offered in. Unless of course you need a quick cash out. Frequent Branches and the TC to see when and how much prices fluctuate from month to month. A good rule of thumb is to sell 3 months after or 3 months before the event they are offered in. This is when the market will lose its boom as the items become more scarce either because people used them immediately or are hoarding them until the market goes up for them again.

Sell Cubs and NCLs at anytime, and especially during July

Craftables, common decor items, etc you should sell when you get a good bulk size of them. You can also do bulk mixes of items for a quick buck too!

Games

Serengeti Shuffle
Scoring 3500-4000 will drop 400SB, Black Stallions, Catnip, and Snake Scents which can all be sold/saved!

Reptile Roundup
This one does take practice and good keyboard, but eventually you can grab coveted decor and backgrounds to sell! 70 points and up is a good score to get to for the best decors

Whack-A-Snake
Scoring 500-1000+ can drop backgrounds and decor that you can sell for 2-20GB depending on the rarity of the background/decor

Slots
Though this one takes 50SB per play, even the lowest tier drops can be sold for SB

Ending Notes

I get it, you want to be the richest person on Lioden and be able to purchase whatever you want. But just remember that this is just a game, and you should have fun while doing it. Don't get lions and items just because you think you'll make a profit off of them. Get lions that you're going to enjoy having in your pride first, and make a profit later!
