After some talk in a new server I joined about Dhahabi (which is dhababy) combo bases, I got the idea of Red Dark/Medium Solid commons and rares. Red Solid in general is neglected compared to its Countershaded sibling and has a lot of rich beautiful potential, so I swatched five of its bases to create a viable cross between those and an accessible massbreedable gold. I settled on Dhahabi exclusively rather than several NCL bases or gold commons due to its similar genetics in Medium and brown tones, which no other Medium gold had. Also, Dhahabi seems to be disliked in comparison to Maziwa in the same group which always seems to outshine it. I love Dhahabi most, but even in my clan dedicated to NCL traits Maziwa gets much more attention. Just look at Mudstone's factors I'm pretty sure devs also forgot about Dhahabi. Maybe a combo would help it out?

Just as Dhahabi was originally suggested as 'dhahab', Arabic for gold, Ahmari's name is derived from ahmar, Arabic for red. I took its palette (on the left) from swatches of all factors against Dhahabi (on the right) and eventually combined the patterns of Dhahabi and Sepia with the colors of the red solid commons and rare. The goal of the combo was to look like a median of its factors enough so that designs on both Dhahabi kings, Sepia kings, and red fails would all look good on the combo at once, rather than it not working easily with certain factors.

Its genetics would either be Red Medium Countershaded or Gold Medium Countershaded, but the base is bright brown, red, and orange, and is literally named Red in Arabic, so there's that.

What's good about this base is that I made it to be massbreedable by both special base factors. Dhahabi breeders (like me and my future heir!) have access to the generated NCL commons of Henna and Sienna to easily breed to, and Sepia breeders can breed their kings to Dhahabi special NCLs, meaning that this combo can easily benefit both groups. People who king an Ahmari have easy access to its factors and can fill their pride with good lions of similar genetics that help pass the base to their cubs. As it is a balanced combo base in this manner, my belief is that people who like it or who have either of these specials kinged will continue to breed it and appreciate it, like Elysian and its excellent group synergy (which is why Elysian is still popular a year later- because it's a perfect blend of the designs of Ice and Ebony and is easy to synergize with for both groups!) rather than forget it after the hype dies down. At least I sure hope so!
