The creature seems docile enough! There was a short pause but you sit besides it while the creature starts preening its plumage? Fur? Whatever. You muster up the courage to ask what he /she is.
"What are we? We call ourselves Gryhunds."
What are Gryhunds?
They're like birb+dog minus wings and more color! Can be natural looking, pastel to colorbombs! No two gryhunds have same color. Special gryhunds came from different coats,patterns,colors, and mane length.
"Gry" from the word gryphon and "hund" from the word hound. (just changed spelling for fancy namesake).
I planned them to be semi open species! You get one for yourself free but there's a catch! Other than that, you can only get one through adopts,customs, and breeding.
Special adopts are exclusively made by me and are generally rarer than forest gryhound and myo gryhund.
Now, this is suppose to be an adopt thing only but i got inspired by original species here so why not make it into a semi-ARPG style adopt? There will be events, useful items, and myo events if ever this species will gain more interest. More info will come soon...

You lose track of time. You ask questions after questions and he eagerly answers them all. Sometimes he would ask about you and you were picky with giving information which he seems to understand. Overall, you had a wholesome conversation with the gryhund.
"Oh looky here, it looks like we can be friends. I enjoy talking with you and i kinda want to be your companion. Too bad though, i already have mine."
You sigh a bit. Not gonna lie, you were enjoying yourself. To make use of the time, you ask why he is here.
"Hmm... i was waiting for more of my kind to show up.... I know! I can introduce you to them! They need a bit of bribery but dont worry, im sure you will have a great time with them as companions. There's some of them here!"

Want another gryhund but free?>
After acquiring 2 gryhunds, there is a possibility of them breeding! A gryhund is born when the parents experience true bond or true love.
There is also a possibility that a gryhund can have a partner from other person's gryhund for life. They're monogamous and gives 1-2(very rare)litter per breeding. That means the gryhund that has a partner from a different person is unavailable to anyone anymore.
How do this work?
Draw the 2 parents either bonding, working together during trials/danger, or helping each other.
Artwork must include:
•fullbody of each gryhunds
•colored bg
•artwork doesn't need to be fancy as long as its understandable
•Any biomes are okay
Artworks are posted on a different thread to avoid cluttering. This thread is for introduction and adopts only.
Once you posted i'll be making the design of the new gryhund!take note: this is not a custom design, the appearance of the new gry will depend on the looks and color of the parents coat. Its a mix match of the parents overall. >

Gryhunds breed only once in a blue moon(so long) unless there's an item that can help it?
You cannot breed the offspring to either of their parents as they acknowledge that it is something to avoid.

Raffle adoption
Sometimes, when an offspring isnt wanted by the gryhund parent's companion, they put it up on adoption and are up for grabs! They will be raffled free and when there's enough entries, the new owner will be chosen through a random generator. Its up to the owner if they well give it away to someone or raffle it.

The truly free adoption. The owner is willing to give an offspring to someone without any condition. If you're given by an offspring please pm me and i'll confirm it to the giver as will as place you as the new owner of the said gryhund.
Very special item
A mysterious item that lets you create a myo gryhund. The item will attract a new lone gryhund of your liking and will stay with you! This item has a very rare chance of appearing during adventures.
wild gryhunds!
During exploration, there's a very slim chance of encountering a wild gryhund. They all have similar coat but different plumage colors! For getting one, you have to pick choices. Be careful tho, as the choices will determine if you will get one or not. Or....you have an item for 100% success?
