So...recently in March Development Update #19 you guys heard about what happened to Kenya's White Giraffe. It was sad, and the decor for a memory is only a giraffe skull. I wished that it could have been the Kenya's White Giraffe and her baby... Not complaining but! (Admins you did a wonderful job on this!!) Ok so because I wanted a decor of the Kenya's White Giraffe, I decided to make one very soon. I will post updates here, feel free to watch! Soon when I am done, I will but it up to get rejected or accepted. If it gets accepted, I will put it up for sale, for you guys!!!! I got my custom decor! I just need to draw the giraffe now! Ok, so today I receive the results from the custom decor. As I predicted...this was rejected so i will work on these: -anatomy -art style -lineart This is what he said about the tips: - The anatomy is not realistic enough, it seems very simplified, the proportions aren't very natural. We do not suggest to copy photo references ever, but we do recommend studying anatomy and references, proportions and body structure when tackling such big, complex decors especially. This art takes over half of the picture and it needs to fit with lion's anatomy semi-realism as much as possible. - The art style is not detailed enough, the colour areas are very flat, contain very little shading, fur/skin texture and there seems to be a lot of blurred parts. We don't really have sharp edges on Lioden, but so much blur doesn't really fit well in the scene. - The lineart is very thick, and it really stands out compared to the lions. We encourage trying softer, thinner brush size with pencil-like delicate strokes that can make the lineart softer than a cartoony style, but sharp enough for detail. So...don't worry! I'll still fix it, and go though it one by one. :D 0 players like this post! Like? |
