I really didn't want to have to do this but... Inbreeding having any kind of mutation, hunting, patrolling, etc effect should be under rejected suggestions by now. There's been enough protest and reasons against it, and most suggestions posted regarding this are often shot down by the community. For reference, I'm referring to the Rejected Suggestions board posted by Xylax #4. Reasons Why To Add It to Rejected: -It effects clean breeders, which makes up a large portion of the site now. -Projects can be effected and ruined. -Negative response from the Community. -Some suggestions have had insensitive parts in them. -Too late into the game for something this major to be implemented. |

Please! At this point it's such a repeatedly unpopular suggestion there's really no way I can see that it could be added without causing total uproar - even suggestion threads about it keep creating drama, let alone any actual feature... So imo it's just not a constructive thing to keep being suggested. Simply listing it as rejected would mean new threads could be quickly closed down, rather than going round in circles each time. 0 players like this post! Like? |

To be honest, I originally 'no supported' because of my current breeding project - which is try to get as many instances of inbreeding as possible on one lioness. I know it has no effects, but clean breeding doesn't have any effects either. Buuuut... After stalking the thread for awhile, I've decided to move my vote to support. Regarding the appeal from the community, we're adding inbreeding effects to the official "Rejected Suggestions" list. Inbreeding is part of how lions work in real life, and it's been a massive part of Lioden for 8 years now. We aren't planning to add penalties or effects at this moment, as it would be a monumental change to a system that has been in place since the game was created. It would affect everyone. If we ever decide to touch on this aspect of the game in future, we'll make an official thread with questions, propose our ideas, and see what the community has to offer. It would be similar to how we handled cub mortality. 0 players like this post! Like? |
