Tae-Hyung looked at Cyrus with slight disbelief. ”I dunno man, the people here must have some idea of what they’re doing, don’t you think?” they countered. . They laid back on their bed, covering their eyes with their forearm while listening for Cyrus’s response.

~Aiko Tanaka~ And Taro
Aiko nodded understandingly. ”No need to apologise. I get it.” She backed up until she reached her bed, settling at the edge of it. ”I used to deal with that kind of thing too.”

Bacchus shrugged indifferently. ”Talking isn’t nearly as effective as throwing somebody, trust me,” they reassured her with a small grin. He hoped Astraea knew he was mostly joking, he really wouldn’t throw someone, per se.

James shushed Aaron, gently pressing his index finger against Aaron’s lips. ”Don’t question me,” he exhaled with a small grin. He removed his finger from its place silencing Aaron.

Felix nodded. He didn’t really react. He certainly wasn’t disgusted, or necessarily surprised. He seemed more neutral. ”Cool. That’s not gonna change the way I think of you,” he said, before asking a question. ”You use male pronouns though, right? I don’t wanna misgender you..”

Avery nodded. "It's my default, I can't help it, sorry," he said, not even realizing he did it again. "I've gotten a bit used to it by now, it still sucks."

Astraea laughed, turning her attention back to Bacchus. "I've scared off quite a few people in my life. Swears and I have been friends for a while," she said, "I've thrown some people, too. It is effective, unless they wanted to be thrown."

Tae-Hyung smiled. They hummed in response, chuckling. ”Oh don’t worry about that, I definitely will. I just hope Hopper and I don’t annoy your ass to death.” Hopper clearly heard and understood them, because he huffed loudly. Tae-Hyung heard their dragon, and only chuckled.

Aiko nodded, a small, understanding smile twisting her lips. ”I used to have a lot of anxiety. I still do, but I obviously learnt to handle it so it doesn’t affect me very often.” She bit her lip for a moment. ”It gets easier. Some people adapt quicker. Some have it worse. It gets better though, I can promise you that.”

Bacchus listened with interest. ”Hm. Humans are scared of odd things. You’re not even remotely scary. Than again, I do weigh a literal ton, so I’m not worried about being thrown by you.” he observed. ”Humans weigh so little, you all are incredibly easy to lift and throw. That’s what makes my throws so effective.”

Avery listened quickly, then nodded. "Y-yeah, I know it will eventually. I think I'd still be rather skittish, even without it, honestly," he murmured. He gave her a small smile. "Uh, anyway, w-what's your power?" he asked. Even if Aiko was a bit famous, he had never seen a video of her powers, if she even posted one. He obviously knew who she was, but never watched her enough to know a lot about her.

Cyrus scoffed softly at Tae-hyung. "You could never annoy me," he purred, resisting the temptation to call them a pet name. He looked at Hopper with a smile. "Hopper couldn't either, both of you are a treat," he said.

Astraea
Astraea rolled her eyes. "Wow, thanks," she said sarcastically. "But yeah, humans are scared of weird shit. Like most of us are afraid of spiders, or the dark," she said. "Uh, like, I'm scared of dragonflies," she admitted with a soft laugh.

Mariana
The constant sounds on the airship always excited Mariana. She loved the hiss of steam pouting from the engine, where she spent most of her time. The machinery there fascinated her. Sure, the whole ship was amazing in itself, but once you actually dug deeper and studied all the parts, it was almost magical. Mariana loved learning about machinery and how things worked. Her father had built this airship before she was born, with the help from her mother, of course. Mariana was born on this ship, and very rarely had the chance to go on land. It was her idea, in fact, to attend Theadia. She'd never been to a real school, she had gotten all of her knowledge right here on the ship. She wanted to explore, make some friends. She didn't really have friends, apart from some of the younger men that worked for her father. Her and her mother were the only women on the ship. Meaning that Mariana was the only single lady on a ship full of heterosexual teenagers. Which meant that she always got a lot of attention, mostly unwanted. It wasn't that Mariana didn't like attention, she just didn't want that kind. There had always been one that was very kind to her, though. He was maybe her only friend. They would often climb up the many ladders to the very top of the ship, and look out at the sky and the clouds. She liked the time they spent together, it had always been relaxing. She would miss it. But enough of getting lost in memories, time to make some new ones! Mariana finally left the engine room, closing the door and leaving the hisses and spurts behind her. She climbed up a short ladder to get to the main deck, and looked around. It was still quite dark, but her surprisingly enhanced night vision let her see almost everything clearly. Her green eye flitted over to another door, which had been opened by a familiar man. A sad smile was on both of their faces. "Hey," the man said softly. He was fair-skinned with shortly cut dirty blonde hair, and his light blue eyes always had a hint of playfulness in them. He was tall, maybe 6'4". "Hey, Derek," she greeted him fondly, walking up to him. "I gotta go soon," she murmured. He just nodded. "I know. I came to say bye. I'm gonna miss you," he said softly. He gently wrapped his arms around her back, holding her against his chest. Mariana didn't struggle, instead clasping her hands around his torso, hugging him tightly. "I'll miss you too, you shithead," she giggled, a hint of sadness in her voice. She could feel a soft rumble of laughter from Derek's chest. "Don't be a dumbass," he said, patting her back. Mariana nodded, releasing him from her tight grip. She looked up at him, sighing quietly. "Okay, bye," she said, picking up the duffel bag she had packed. She waved sadly at Derek, then left the deck to enter a room where her father was waiting. "Ready," she said, her father nodding silently. She knew by the look in his eye that he was going to miss her too. He led her back outside, where a rope ladder was waiting for her. He unfurled the ladder silently, dropping it into the air. Her father had decided to drive the airship to the school to drop her off. Mariana had tried to protest, saying that dropping her off at a bus stop was perfectly fine, but she had lost that fight. The girl took a hold of the ladder in one hand, her other holding her bag. She firmly set the heel of her boot onto the rope, hoping it was stable. Her father waved to her, and then she was lowered into the air, off the deck. The ship was surprisingly quiet, as quiet as a flying ship could be. Her other foot finally met solid ground, and she stepped off the ladder, looking at her surroundings. This was so strange. There wasn't a sheer drop leading to death, there was no worry of falling off of the world. Mariana didn't bother looking back up, as the ladder had already disappeared and the ship had floated away. She was alone now. Taking a cautious step towards the doors, she took a deep breath. New start. This'll be great, right? she talked to herself. "Right," she said aloud, opening the doors and heading into her new life.

Tae-Hyung was slightly caught off guard by the velvety purr that came out of Cyrus’s throat as he spoke. It sounded nice. Really nice. They swallowed, smiling with a slight chuckle. “Oh trust me, Hopper can be a handful,” they cautioned. Hopper was now rather displeased, squinting at Tae-Hyung with dark smoke billowing out of his nose. Tae-Hyung knew exactly what they were doing to the dragon, and also knew that they dragon wouldn’t lay a talon on them. They smiled.

She grinned. “Awh, so shy anyways? That’s cute,” she said. Aiko hesitated, trying to find the right words to describe her powers. ”Uh, it’s hard to explain, but essentially, I move at such a speed that it looks like teleportation. I call it flash stepping.” She hoped that her little explanation made sense for Avery. ”I can demonstrate if that didn’t make sense. But if it did, what’s your power?” she asked.

Bacchus grunted. ”See? Weird things. Why be afraid of something so silly? It just doesn’t make sense.” he grumbled gruffly. He might have sounded pissed off to most people, but in reality that was just the nature of his voice. It was always meant to sound harsh, and threatening.
