Ever wonder why the gorilla enclave wants your cubs so bad? Cub fights.

They have monkey teeth?! Well, they must be beating up some debtor monkeys.

They sell all these different animals from all these different parts of the world- exotic pet trade.

Where did they get that lion meat from, you ask? Well, the cubs that lose in the fights, of course!! They wait till they grow up- and they fool you into thinking they are innocent.

What if the elephant mafia and the gorilla mafia are secretly working together to bring the downfall of the lions?

I regret doing quests for them. But with the whole monkey teeth thing, maybe they lose their teeth like humans do???????

Surely one lion would notice. There are around 3,345,406 lions in lioden, not even counting non-claimed NCLs or cubs given to the enclave, while there’s only around 100,000 gorillas left in the wild.
Now, imagine cubs fighting each other. I’ll estimate around 2,000,000 cubs sent to the enclave throughout the entire time it’s been here, now 1,000,000 die while battling the other cubs sent. Also, not every gorilla would risk their lives with lion pets. So I’ll estimate around 500-3,000 gorillas want to own lions.
I suspect there’ll be a bunch of cubs that survive, given most players choose “difficult” and have to find a cub with 100+ stats.
If a cub has most of its stats at strength, and another at smarts. If these cubs team up together, they could be extremely overpowered, and probably kill the small amount of gorillas killing lions.

1. Why would they ask for certain genders?

2. Why for certain stats?

3. Lions can kill gorillas, especially at night and in a group. There are a ton of lions there, and if they are used for fights, and they win, certainly they’re strong, and can rebel.

4. Gorillas can make ropes... out of sticks. Sticks. You’d think lions will be able to break out of that.

5. If they’re used for battles, why would they request a certain marking?

@Fooxie:
1. Why would they ask for certain genders?
I have two possible answers. They could breed lions and have their own market with cubs (see point 5).
Another more disgusting theory would be that male cubs are used for fighting and females are seen as trophies or strippers for gorillas. Maybe they are forced to work in brothels.

2. Why for certain stats?
Maybe there are fights which only cubs within a certain stats gap can be put into. Not every gorilla has one for let's say a 150 stat fight.

3. Lions can kill gorillas, especially at night and in a group. There are a ton of lions there, and if they are used for fights, and they win, certainly they’re strong, and can rebel.
"However, the cub MUST be under 12 months old. They become too dangerous to us after that. We will make sure they grow up to be proper predators somewhere else." (Taken from gorilla enclave)
With "somewhere else" he could refer to cub figthing.
But there is a possible catch that could answer your question very easily: Cubs under the age of a year or shortly after reaching one year of age get killed. If this was an organized event with multiple gorillas attacking one lion in an area which makes it impossible for the lion to escape. Or they could simply be poisoned.

Which makes sense because that's where the items offered in the enclave come from. They are importing items from different parts of the world (various theme sets, e.g. indian theme set). They are selling human liver. There are eye applicators. Base and marking applicators have a high price tag. They also are high in variety...

4. Gorillas can make ropes... out of sticks. Sticks. You’d think lions will be able to break out of that.
Not if they are killed of early enough. Or have claws and teeth removed forcefully. They could also be imprisoned in caves. You just need strength to lift a rock from a cave entrance. No need for claws or anything.
Anyway, the cubs the gorillas get are unable to kill a gorilla. They would only be able to do that if they were left alive.
IF they were kept alive, we would encounter them during explore, right? Did you ever encounter a male ncl??

5. If they’re used for battles, why would they request a certain marking?
Some gorillas want a cub that looks nice. There is a demand for cubs with markings among the gorillas because plain lions are just becoming boring. Maybe some cubs are becoming slaves for rich gorillas. They would want a pretty cub.

Wow, I am really getting into this theory
