``O-oh,`` Haruki watched as she perched on a chair, a small smile creeping onto his lips,``N-nice name!``

He watched as she placed her stuff on the desk beside him. Wait was she... Sitting next to him? But why? Wait... Was she trying to befriend him? Well, he had to admit, he wasn't very good at making friends himself. He was awkward when it came to first impressions and making friends, but he still had a few. He was glad to at least make a new one.

``O-oh!`` He perked up at her question, scratching his freckled cheek rather nervously,``I-I'm Haruki Tsunory! Fr-from Japan!``

Rebecca watched him silently. Her eyes focused on his hand as he scratched his cheek and then they flitted back up to his eyes. Her mouth twitched silently at his compliment. "Japan? You're from Japan?" she asked. "That's....cool?" she muttered softly. Compliments were not her thing. Blush dusted her cheeks as she realized she had just complimented him. "Whatever," she said, suddenly loud, trying to hide her embarrassment, "My Families from Mexico. My Father and Mother met there." she said

``Oh uh,`` Haruki tilted his head, had her pale face suddenly just turned pink?,``Thanks?``

He wasn't sure if she was being nice or just cold as he stared at her, slightly stiffening as she said ``Whatever`` suddenly loudly. His hands gripped the table tightly, his eyes now on his lightly scarred knuckles. After a moment of pause, his pale green eyes trailed up to her again.

``That's c-cool!`` Haruki smiled, brushing some of his messy fringe out of his right eye,``My parents met in America. My mom is American and my d-dad is Japanese. They got married in Takayama!``

He seemed quite proud of it as his fingers drummed his desk, a small grin on his face,``It was really cool! Takayama is really pretty a-and it was great to grow up there! It s-seems kinda like those old villages y-you see in movies and honestly I find it great! There were so many nice people there until I moved to-``

Oh wait. He was rambling. Haruki just let out a rather awkward chuckle, his face crimson as he tried to hide his redden cheeks behind his hand.

Rebecca tilted her head to the side as she listened to his rambling, finding out that she didn't mind it much. As she listened she let her icey blue eyes travel to her notebook. She rested her cheek on her hand as she finally stopped fiddling with her necklace and just let the cross hand there. When he chuckled she brought her eyes back to him and blinked. "Oh! I want to visit Japan sometime! I've only ever been to Mexico. I was born here after my parents moved here and got married. I'm one of 12 children." she said.

She tapped her beat up Vans against the floor and let her eyes travel over the male as she surveyed him. She was wearing a pale grey v-neck t-shirt and distressed skinny jeans with her Vans. She had absolutely no color on her whatsoever other than the very light pigment of her skin, the cross necklace, and her electric blue eyes.

: Fidget was, well, living up to his name and clicking his pen whilst thinking. Slightly staring off into space. Some students were talking with each other but honestly, he didn't really understand why people made friends at college, seems like a waste of time. The sun could explode any second and you would never even realize it until you were dead. Hell, you could die at ANY point in time so what was to point of making friends? Just seems like useless entertainment with emotions:

``Tw-twelve siblings?!`` Haruki perked up, sitting up straight with wide eyes,``How did you live like that? N-not to be rude, but it seems like a handful!`` Haruki rubbed the back of his neck with a small smile,``I have just an older brother Yoshiro. I call him Yoshi.``

Ah yes, his brother. Haruki's smile slightly twitched, the grip on his desk tightening. He gulped a bit. Yeah, Yoshiro was a bit... Troublesome to him to say the least. He didn't have the best relationship with his elder brother. All he got were snarky comments and...

Haruki let his eyes trail to his hands with another gulp, biting his inner cheek in silence.

He looked up at the ghostly girl after a pause,``You must have quite some life!``

Rebecca snorted. "Yeah. its is a ton of siblings. Yoshi? Like the video game character?" she asked, "Also no, not really. My life is pretty bland, although I do find new things to argue about with my siblings everyday." she said and let out a very small small, the first one she had shown. It quickly disappeared and she watched him. She reached up and carefully tucked away her cross before looking back up at him.

"You're life seems much more interesting." she mumbled. "You lived in Japan for heavens sake." Her ghostly pale braid fell over her shoulder and she glanced at it.

Haruki let out a small laugh, the first humorous one he had let out in a while,``I-I guess like the video game character!`` His visible grin widened when he noticed her small grin, his finger twirling one of his hoodie strings,``I-I mean, Takayama was quite a home, but I find my life here much more interesting.``

His chin rested in the palm of his hand, his arm propped up on the desk. His eyes traveled to the window, his eyes seeming to relfect his memories,``I am still a bit new h-here. I arrived about… A-a month ago?`` His green eyes locked onto her icey blue ones, which slightly startled him with the intensity of her simple stare,``But you seem r-rather peculiar yourself! I-I mean you look unique! I-It's rather awesome really!``

: Fidget had set his pen on the table and started messing with his grayish blue hair, running his hand through it and sighing. His laptop was taking forever to boot up so his mind was running loose. His gaze trailed around the room, there was a pale girl talking pretty loudly with the boy beside her, who looked like a nervous wreak. The girl that has spoken to Tempo was spacing off behind him so he was just alone with his boredom:

Rebecca listened to his talk about his home. She snorted softly when his grin widened at her grin. She nibbled her lip and smiled softly to herself. She followed his eyes to the window and then when they snapped back to her. Her grin disappeared at the mention of her looks, eyes filling with hostility the moment he brought it up. It quickly faded after she realized he complimented her.

"O-oh? W-what?" she said surprised, her eyes going wide. "You think it's awesome? Not like weird? Or like I'm The spawn of Satan or something????" she asked, surprise still thick in her voice.

When Haruki noticed Rebecca's look of outrage, he was afraid he said something wrong. He leaned back in his seat, his body stiffening once again. He was prepared for the worst, until he heard her surprised comment.

Now Haruki laughed a little louder, a slight dorky laugh to say the least, and he was struggling to stifle his laughter. He didn't want to seem rude, but he just couldn't help it! He placed a hand over his mouth, trying to keep his laughing under control.

``S-sorry I just-`` He was really trying to not laugh,``Why would I think that? I think you're pretty cool!``

He moved his hand to his freckled cheek, a small smile on his face. When his eyes travelled across the room, his eyes landed on Tempo. He didn't know who he was, but he gave him a small shy wave before his eyes travelled back to Rebecca.

Rebecca was taken aback by his laughter and comments. She blinked her icey blue eyes in surprise. "You don't? I don't know. That's what a lot of people think. And they think I'm mean and ummmm...yeah. No one really wants to talk to me because I come off as rude." she trailed off with that sentence. She looked at her Vans and kicked them against the ground as a small smile made it's way to her face. "You think I'm cool?" she asked, looking up.

Seeing that his eyes were elsewhere she turned her head to follow them. She spotted the kid who had screamed earlier. He seemed to have gained a ton of energy from just leaving to go out to the hall. She furrowed her eyebrows slightly and watched him, smile still frozen on her face. Her eyes narrowed and then she turned back to Haruki, letting the smile grow a bit wider. She glanced at his wave but made no comment, just stared.

: Fidget blinked at the two, it was obvious this strange girl had a problem with them so this might not sit over well. The boy seemed pretty nervous but he doubted Tempo would talk to him but a few if the others were a bit social so who knows.

Haruki slouched a bit in his seat, fiddling with his now sharpened pencil in his hands,``Well,`` The word trailed on for a moment, his eyes on the window.

He didn't know how else to say it, but the raven-haired boy decided to say it,``You c-can be a bit... I-intimidating?``

He stiffened abit, as if prepared for a whack to the head. Honestly, at this point, he almost expected one! Though, the thought of getting punched, especially at school, just brang back some bad memories.
