Hello :) This is my second entry :) Link: https://www.lioden.com/wardrobe.php?c=6azWoj6RZ4 Name: Divana Derived from Devana, the Polish ruler of nature, forests, hunting, and the moon. Theme "Endangered animals" Animal: Iberian Lynx The Lberian Lynx, the world's most threatened cat species, has a population of somewhere around 400 mature individuals and trying to grow. As low as that number seems, previous surveys have encountered fewer than 100.3 Native to the Iberian Peninsula, the Iberian lynx is an expert rabbit hunter. Unfortunately, with a diet of 90% rabbits, disease outbreaks killing rabbits have rippled through the population. Though it is now illegal to hunt them and their habitat is protected, the lynx still falls victim to cars along roads, feral dogs, and poaching by humans. 2 players like this post! Like? I'm from Brazil and decided to make some endangered animals from here ^^ 1ºEntry: Margay cat (Gato-Maracajá- PTBR) "The margay cat has large eyes and paws and an extremely long tail. The feline, which ranges from the Mexican coast to Argentina and Uruguay, is found in almost all of Brazil, except for Ceará. In the rest of the Northeast, it is rarely seen in Caatinga areas and prefers the Atlantic Forest along the coast. This is because the preferred habitat of these animals is dense forests. Despite using the ground to walk, the margay prefers to hunt by walking on tree branches. And what a hunting technique it has: to capture prey such as marmosets and birds, the feline imitates the sound of offspring and lures them in. It also eats rodents and marsupials." 2º Entry: Maned Wolf (Lobo Guará) "Although it is an emblematic animal of the Cerrado, the maned wolf has a broad distribution, which includes transitional areas with the Caatinga, Pantanal, Atlantic Forest, Pampas, as well as Paraguay, Bolivia, Argentina, and Uruguay. In the South of Brazil, the species' situation is critical: it is estimated that there are only 50 individuals in Rio Grande do Sul, for example. The maned wolf is the largest Brazilian canid and has opportunistic feeding habits. It hunts both small vertebrates such as rodents, birds, and reptiles, and arthropods. On the menu are also numerous fruits, such as the wolf fruit or lobeira. Maned wolves eat them in abundance, and since they come out almost intact in their feces, they play a role as dispersers and contribute to the maintenance of the plant species." I really hope the image code works- i'm terrible at this. Edit: It didn't </3, im gonna try to fix this 2 players like this post! Like? Edited on 07/02/24 @ 22:21:40 by Yoza (#271166) |

@Yoza (#271166) To insert just a normal image (non-clickable) use this <*img src="IMG URL" /*> the first code I sent is for clickable images 0 players like this post! Like? |

This is my second entry, it's based off of the poison dart frog > Lion Link > Inspo Pic Link I'm sorry I can't get the picture coding to work. I've tried multiple different ways many times and it just doesn't work for me so hopefully just clickable links are ok. 1 player likes this post! Like? I know right :) So very many lovely one up :) I actually did not realize that there was so many endangered animals out there but still :) Nice to know some things about more than just the ones that you like :) I just loved learning about all of the other animals :) I adore these little contests that are here :) They tend to allow me too find so many things out that I had not previously known :) 1 player likes this post!
