Since there is dwarfism in lioden, why not giantism! Giantism, (For those who don’t know) Is when an animal is born very tall, like the opposite of dwarfism!

Good idea? Or Bad idea?
More ideas:
Possibly a lethal.
(Lethal version)
Birth message And interactions.
You notice (cub) is way bigger than the other cubs.. Maybe they are just naturally big!.
1 month:
You notice that when (cub) tries playing with the other cubs they run away and start calling them a giraffe.. poor guy!
(cub) can’t walk for long periods of time, (he/she) keeps collapsing from exhaustion..
2 months:
(cub) doesn’t seem do anything as much as they used to..
You find (cub) Alone in the shade, they say they’re just tired..
3 months: (Cub) keeps wandering off..
You notice (cub)s mother is slowly grooming (cub), whispering some comforting words.
You convinced (cub) to play with someone, they end up playing with a log..
4 months: you noticed (cub) keeps complaining about aches here and there..
You’ve noticed how (cub)s size is rapidly increasing..
(Cub) stays alone for most of the day..
The other cubs seem to be teasing (cub) about their height.
5 months (weaned):
You notice that ever since (cub) has weaned, they are becoming skinnier..
(cub) is constantly complaining about aching joints..
(cubs) mother vents her worries to you about (cub), you silently agree..
6 months (Death):
You find that (cub) has died due to being shot by poachers over night..
You walk over to where (cub) was sleeping, to find that hyenas attacked (cub), (cub) couldn’t run away in time..
(cub) Unfortunately passed away last night due to numerous health issues..

Birth messages and interactions
(Non lethal version)
0 months: (cub) was born very noticeably larger than the other cubs… ouch.
1 month:
You notice whenever (cub) is playing with the other cubs they get scared because of how big (cub) is, but (cub) just thinks they’re playing tag.
You notice that (cub) likes spending time with the adolescents, maybe it just feels more natural to (cub) to be around lions their own size.
You notice cub keeps trying to catch birds.. while they are flying.. whatever floats their boat..
2 months:
You watch as (cub) makes a few miserable attempts at playing hide and seek with the other cubs.. clearly too big to not be spotted!
(cub) struggles to nurse sometimes, and their siblings.. since (cub) take up so much room.
3 months
You can’t help but overhear (cub) bragging to their friends that their going to be the biggest lion ever.
You notice (cub) keeps getting a few scratches and bumps from running into branches..
4 months:
While making your way to the trading center you notice cub making miserable attempts to follow you out of curiosity.
(Cub) Says they should be considered an adult because of their size.. Nice try bud.
5 months: (cub) has developed the nickname, ‘’Giraffe’’ Around the pride, at least it’s somewhat true..
(cub)s siblings whine here and there about being over shadowed by their sibling, (cub). Literally.
6 months:
(cub) has started calling themselves a giraffes as a joke, it’s clearly grown on them, and (he’s/she’s) obviously grown too.
You hear complaints from your lionesses, saying that (cub) keeps trying to follow them out to hunt, (cub) gets all pouty when the lionesses say that (cub) will scare the prey away.

From then on it can just be randomized lines when you go to their page.

Maybe a small chance for the mutation to be passed down, since certain types of real life giantism can be passed down, just not 100% of the time.
Also maybe certain stats like speed, agility and stamina could be buffed or decreased at birth!

And even if its not real (which im not seeing anything about in that link) its just a cool concept, so why not? It also makes for a really cool lethal mutation because of the health complications that gigantism causes, or maybe even a subgroup of hybrids because of how common it is in tigons / ligers
.

But back to the topic of Giantism being a mutation on Lioden - I'm neutral to the idea! But maybe there could be a Liger hybrid? Ligers can get really big!

@Spicy That seems like a cool idea! Have you considered making a topic suggesting that?

Quick cool concept- maybe Gigantism is a hybrid subgroup or lethal? Its very common in big cat hybrids because they arent meant to mate naturally and causes many health problems for the organism like obesity and joint complications.

I haven't suggested Ligers... But maybe I will post it! I always figured we had Tigons instead of Ligers because the mother tigers wouldn't give birth in the siring male's pride, so the Ligers would just stay out in the wild...

There could always be a different method of obtaining the liger, or possible lipard, other than birthing it. Maybe something similar to the raffle lioness?

If you wanna go with the "it's ligers" thing than that can be a part of it too! Maybe it results [in game] through tigon breeding, an extra touch onto the "realism" for ya.

Also @Moon, ligers are essentially the OPPOSITE of tigons. Its the same two animals but the parents are swapped. They are NOT the same thing.

@Ruffled, I think it would be better as a lethal rather than hybrid, because a hybrid is a cross of 2 species, Giantism is just big, which would raise health issues i guess

yea @RuffledPuppo raffle lioness is what I was thinking! Every-so-often, the raffle lioness could be a tigress instead, and that way, users can claim them into their dens...
