well there is a button in the event tab what will hide the event in general from you if it makes u uncomfortable just click hide event

i thought there was a toggle-ish thing though??? like you could go into the site preferences and make it so that if the encounter did come up, you'd still get the text, but you'd just see a blank image. i think there was a mod post about it during the anti-poacher event.

absolutely massive support... i grind heavily during february because it is to this day the most profitable event. unfortunately i also find it massively uncomfortable. very strange to see so many people against this... why on earth would you want to see that?

Because it's pixel animals. There's nothing uncomfortable about it for plenty of people. I would support a toggle, but I don't want it removed.

and even if its pixels it does not make it ok unless it is scientifically. and good for "plenty people" but im not part of them. i dont think theres any way for anyone to explain to me why they would want to see images of animals drawn like that. especially when they get defensive about them. id rather not argue about that those are strictly my boundaries and that is my opinion.

Scenes that are problematic should be toggleable. This should include gore as well. To all the people saying "just hide the event" the player is actively punished for not participating, and to anyone saying "just alter the files" I should not have to physically change the game in order to avoid commonly triggering topics and content.

i agree with the gore as well. i dont have a major issue with it but i can definitely understand why people would do as some images can be rather upsetting to see. i also agree with your second statement. "just stop playing the event" is not a great thing to say to someone, especially when a solution is there. the biggest issue i have with people telling me to just not play in february is because well. i dont afford dumping money into a game and that event is my main source of income. we are allowed to voice the issues we have with the game... that is how things improve.

Bondoc, I am not saying you don't have a right to feel the way you feel. But I have a right to also not dislike them. Which is why I suggested a toggle. The encounters should still exist, but it would be nice to have the OPTION to not see the actual images without hiding the entire event.

There already is a way to block sensitive images - the image blocker for browser/phone. That way, you can get the encounter but not see the art. And the only way you can do it is if you do it for yourself, in your browser, fit to your sensitive topics.
There are hundreds of things people want hidden. Gore, mating, bones, spiders, any insects at all, some people might be afraid of birds or of rabbits - there is no way Lioden can provide a diverse enough filter to customly disable only the images YOU dont wish seeing, but leave the others in place. Adding just the common things will not help - people will keep suggesting more and more and more, because there's just too many things people find disturbing. YOU have to do it yourself, on your end, through your device's abilities to block images. There are just TOO many different things and combinations of what people hidden for Lioden to add a custom toggle for each of 1000 various things people dont want to see. Its something too user-specific to be done by site - the toggle of sensitive images needs to be done on your end, in your browser/device.

Especially true for explore encounters - unlike decors and markings, they dont even have official names, just image names. How would filtering them even be done? How'd you tell apart which is disturbing or not, if they are named lion4day.png and remainsday.png? In filtering mating images, how'd you tell which is mating and which is two dwarves chatting, when they're named dwarfpairday.png and dwarfday.png? There are so many difficulties with a "toggle" I cant even start wrapping my head around how to code something like that right! The only solution is image blocker, encounter the image and block it as you see it - and that is already provided by a gigantic amount of image blockers and filters for devices. Its not a Lioden feature, its a browser feature.

I understand its frustrating to see something you dislike but there are some things the sites cannot provides solutions for - you need to do things on your end to increase your browsing comfort.

people have been weird to me in the past on this so im rather defensive. a toggle would also work out, that is the bare minimum that could be done. still waiting for the day i can be excited for the event as everyone else is. the profits are good and affording things i like in this game rules but playing thru the event sure is not. in my opinion i wouldve been ok with just the funny awkward flirting encounters and gay lions and less of. that. but agree to disagree. done here

I support a toggle, but some of the encounters are quite silly and I enjoy the flavor text, so I'd rather they not be removed altogether.

But I can agree that when I was a kid...Feb would be a reeeeaaaaaaal awkward time to play Lioden in school, especially on a school chromebook that made it real hard to block images Going to click 'no support', sorry, but in my heart...I support that toggle.
